I have uploaded a new version of the pack with additional mods and bugfixes, including the navlights which were brought to my attention by @curiouslysophie. The rendering issue with the trees on winter maps still remains for now until one of us can get with @rowdyb00tto remedy this. It has come to my attention that reshade fails to deactivate from the pack when using jsgme. If you wish to remove it from the pack/game for online play on servers that do not allow it like FVP or CB, simply delete the following folders and files from bin/game: -reshade-shaders -dxgi.dll -reshade.cfg -reshadePreset.cfg I have also had to delete d3dx.dll, d3d11.dll, and d3d11.log as well to get my game to work after using the mod. I will say that you can technically just delete the entire contents of the bin/game folder with the exception of the game and launcher executables (.exe) because the launcher client will simply re-download them from the main IL-2 server. For now, Fholger's Universal VR shader will remain included in the pack because it greatly improves clarity and reduces ghosting in VR. While the vr enhancements are included in the pack by default, they can be disabled for flatscreen users by simply deleting the contents of the bin/game folder within IL-2 Enhanced before activation via jsgme. The bin/game folder in the pack is where the universal vr shader, fsr, and vrem are located (as well as LizLemon's moon shader fix). Update 11/26/21: Happy Thanksgiving! I have updated this pack to version .3. The main thing is I have gotten rid of ACG Cass's AP Mod, which caused certain guns not to fire and various luascript errors. It is also not nearly as necessary post update 4.605, where AP guns received a ballistics and dispersion fix. Please let me know if this version fixes the luascript errors, but if it does not I will have @meplanes1969 and @QB.Rails look into it. Update 12/13/21: I am now releasing version 1.0 of this pack since I believe it is stable enough to be considered no longer a WIP or beta mod pack. Thanks to @NewWinter, the luascript errors have been fixed and patched into the pack. Thanks to @meplanes1969and @Mtnbiker1998, numerous graphical bugs with damage decals have been ironed out. New for this version, is the latest VREM from @C6_lefuneste and numerous enhancements and bug fixes. I have also tweaked the rivers on the Rheinland maps with work from @rowdyb00t's Rheinand map pack. I have also removed his wonderful cloud mod, which is no longer compatible with the latest version of the game so the pack should now perform even better and be stable and cohesive. Update 1/3/22: The pack is now updated to work with 4.702B. The included interactive playground missions by @Stoopy have been fixed and many included mods like the 4k skin pack by @milktoast have been updated. Luascript errors have also been fixed thanks to @NewWinter . Banding in VR has been addressed by the latest 6.2 version of VREM. I have not included the haze fix by @rowdyb00tbecause I believe it will be fixed shortly by the developers, but if it is not, I will add that in the future. Happy New Year! Updated 2/3/23: Since @Han and the official dev team have fixed a number of issues over the last year like the .50s, sky banding, improved the clouds, etc. this pack will no longer focus on weapon mods, but instead will add graphical and functional fidelity with as few mod conflicts as possible. Performance should be very comparable to the base game, despite the addition of texture, effects, and other mods. This release is stable, although we are still looking for feedback and are also happy to tweak the modpack as a result of your input. In the future, I aim to keep this all-inclusive modpack updated as mod creators create new mods and update existing ones. With that said, there are a number of things in game that I would like to see further development on to be included in this modpack going forward, including: -Trees -Grass -Terrain textures -Water -Effects -Engine/Flyby Sounds -Weapons Misfires/Jamming/Overheating @Avimimus Updated 2/18/24: The pack has been updated to version 2.1 to work with version 5.201B. I also tested the FW 190 A3 and a few other planes and they had lights. What pack are you using? I was only able to test the vr packs because I play in vr exclusively.

I've given it a few tries in the quick mission builder and it seems like a pretty good start. Heres my two cents, hopefully don't ruffle too many feathers. imo, it'd be better if the cloud mod was optional, I'm really not a fan of the reshade effects in there or the greysky effect, but then again I think the new cloud improvements we have coming to the game soon(tm) should make the clouds mod obsolete anyways. Glad to see the weapon mod/tracer mod make its way in here, alongside cass' dispersion mod. absolutely essential. Does anyone remember cass' other .50 cal mod? his AP fix from that thread that got locked awhile ago, it adjusted the diameter of the bullet to create bigger holes for increased damage. I'd love to see that implemented into the mod for all AP ammo. One thing I really don't like is the bomb tweaks, bombs do plenty of damage if you actually hit or are close to your target. Should be kept separate from the much more essential HE/AP tweaks. The retexture mods for the terrains are absolutely great, love them. The only thing there I wasn't a fan of was the winter trees, they have a strange ugly cell shading effect around them, and they revert back to the vanilla brown trees when you get close. Really not great. Everything else there was excellent though! I wish I'd been using some of these mods sooner. Also finally, kept getting this error message in one of my quick missions: There was another that popped up that looked pretty similar, but I didn't get a screencap of it. I think it also had something to do with the rus_45 shell. HE something maybe? Again, really, really excited to see something like this as an all inclusive "upgrade pack" could be a big step forward for the game. Best of luck with this!

The stock clouds are pretty decent, but the grey skies are far more realistic for Russian and NW Europe. If we ever get the Pacific, it would need a bluer sky. -You can also simply delete the reshade files (I can get you a list if needed). The error message you are seeing is related to the loading order of the mods. I will release a patch soon to fix this, but I'd need to know what version you're using. -I personally prefer the winter trees, but again, you are free to tweak the pack by deleting them if you don't like them...orange trees on snow covered maps always bothered me personally as I think dead or green trees are much more realistic. Either way, for the time being the 2d trees really limit things even though they mostly look adequate. 1

I use a Lenovo Explorer and found the effects to be a bit too grainy (I think the fsr mod is the culprit there,) but then again I've also spent a looooot of time dialing in my game to get it just the way I like. Thank you friend. And if I may be extra annoying, Would you be able to add links to the OP for the original mods? I wouldn't mind downloading a few of them separately.

The reshade present and fsr mod both go in bin/game. I would recommend adjusting the sharpness in open_vrmod.cfg to somewhere between .3 and .1. I use a reverb g2 so it was made with that in mind. In the meantime, you could try to fix it by downloading this and simply overwriting the files in the pack, assuming you can find them: If this doesn't work, you could also simply delete the navlight textures in the pack to revert to stock for now if it bothers you. Sharpening does not compensate for anything, its a post processing filter. it can't magically create resolution when theres only so many pixels. this is true regardless of whether you're using an OG Vive or an 8k monitor. If you think it looks better than more power to you, but thats a preference thing. imo especially since your end goal is to create a cohesive modpack for use online, things like this should not be part of it to begin with. Same goes for reshade presets. I'm not trying to come off as a hater, I really love the idea behind this project, and I'm hoping to be able to come to my group with a single mod and say "hey download this and it'll solve most of the games issues" But most of them aren't gonna want to dig through directories to remove stuff. KISS principle my man. texture/map improvements, weapons improvements. if people want to expand on that, then its much easier for them to add it then for everyone else to go digging through the files to remove things.

KISS principle my man. texture/map improvements, weapons improvements. if people want to expand on that, then its much easier for them to add it then for everyone else to go digging through the files to remove things. I agree. The next version will have multiple jsgme packages to activate for those who do not like certain things I chose like reshade. With the reverb g2, the universal vr shaders reshade mod is very nice to my eyes. I'll probably stick with the fsr and vr enhancer in the core pack though. Those values can always be tweaked for each individual pc. If you want to get it on this project, pm me and you are welcome to collaborate. Guns worked. Beautiful clouds. Was up at 30000ft diving in out clouds chasing 190s in the Jug. Exceptional job to all the creators. Took a great game to whole new level. Unfortunately, I think this is a game engine limitation and has nothing to do with the mod. For some reason the dead trees are much more noticeable in this regard. I still personally prefer them to autumn trees on a winter map...

There are three different ways that trees are drawn. Worst to best as you move closer. The trick would be to make sure that the trees_seta and setb are matching to the foilage.dds. Some don’t match up very well.

Should be kept separate from the much more essential HE/AP tweaks. The retexture mods for the terrains are absolutely great, love them. The only thing there I wasn't a fan of was the winter trees, they have a strange ugly cell shading effect around them, and they revert back to the vanilla brown trees when you get close. Really not great. Everything else there was excellent though! I wish I'd been using some of these mods sooner. Also finally, kept getting this error message in one of my quick missions: There was another that popped up that looked pretty similar, but I didn't get a screencap of it. I think it also had something to do with the rus_45 shell. HE something maybe? Again, really, really excited to see something like this as an all inclusive "upgrade pack" could be a big step forward for the game. Best of luck with this! In the graphics folder, you have all the map folders. In each folder is a tree file. In that file you have tree_seta, setb and a foliage.dds. Those are what you want to tweak in gimp, photoshop ect. Also you have a forestcolor.dds file with in the carpet file which has the map tiles in it, that may need some tweaking as well. I’m out of town for the week so I wouldn’t be able to look into it.

What campaign/mission are you trying to run? I oddly have been playing all night and haven't had a single crash with the 2nd version pack.
