Ahh tank campaigns, that explains why I didn't see them.

I only have the flight sim part of IL-2.

 

@352ndOscar was doing the tank campaigns. If someone wants to maintain the tanks tab, I can give edit access let me know.

Sorry I've been a bit busy the last few months Been flying the A-4 Skyhawk in DCS a bit and forgot to check back here.

Thanks I saw it a long time ago but it was incomplete and I was waiting on it, looks like part 1 is now fully complete.

I'll be adding the other new campaigns mentioned by @Nadelbaum soon.

 

The tank crew list created by another Oscar has gotten out of date, and the forum has restructured so there is a separate tank crew section now. Also I don't have/use tank crew so have moved the tab to a backup spreadsheet since I can only maintain the flight sim campaigns. If any tank operator wants to start a campaign list in the other forum drop me a message and I'll send you the old tank sheet.

It looks like we've entered the golden age for new scripted campaigns! Starting to see Normandy campaigns appearing thick and fast, as well as coverage of some new planes (C-47, Me 410) and new mission type (recon).

 

I've noted 8 new campaigns since last updating, they're being made faster than I can fly them ? Spreadsheet linked in first post is updated with metadata on these:

Hi, 

It's on the Moscow Broken tab. There was an update for the Moscow map that requires the campaigns to be fixed by the developers (more than just resaving the bin files).

 

The announcement is here:

 

Looking at the campaign thread, it doesn't have an update date after the patch so it would be best to keep it on that tab until the objects are fixed and tested for the new map altitudes 

 

The dev announcement from BlackSix  shows the procedure to fix - if someone can do that for each mission and re-upload I can move it to the other tab.

Yeah I did level bombing on MP and career mode. Did a long Gotha career in rise of flight actually. 

 

However now I got VR I've moved away from level bombing to get the full benefit of the VR experience

Vr is the way, but why not fly the bombers in vr. He111, ju87 and a20 all have good cockpits in vr ?  

I do not fly much lvl bombing my self. Dont know how interessting a campaign around it woud be ?

The level bombing interface is kind of 2D and most is done on autolevel cruise control. 

 

I find dive bombing much more exhilarating in VR, or glide attacks (IL2 style) and low flying alot of fun

I agree divebombing are more fun. But i really like the feeling of controlling a big plane.  But mostly on take off and landing. The level flying is mostly done by autopilot or trim and can be boring.

This is the fun with level bombing : you are on your sight, autolevel cruise very slow, adjusting your sight moving slightly for the target and ...

... and the enemy may blow you out of the sky before you realise it !!!!!!!!!
