AND ALSO THE LITTLE FLAWS ON THE PROPELLER HUB AS PER SUGGESTION OF @Yardstick WHOM I PUBLICLY THANK ! I really start getting old, I don't know how, but I missed modifying the alpha layer of the anti-glare panel. I corrected the gross error and did it all over again. Meanwhile, from the original publication date of the skins, some small errors have emerged, I don't know if caused by the template or by the 3d model. Some of our best skinners soon found and shared the way to make almost perfect "ad interim" corrections. I thank them all sincerely @Yardstick & @Raptorattacker...even if this forced me to redo all my Razorbacks skins ... DAMN! This full immersion skinning is my way of giving rest to bad thoughts ... Last night, a fraternal friend of mine took his own life by hanging himself. Not a message or a letter to explain this desperate gesture. A great man, a sincere friend, always ready to help those who need it. Carlo is, indeed he was, a passionate fireman and rescuer, an excellent scuba diver, he had a good job, a welcoming and always open house for friends, a beautiful wife ... in short, an intense life full of affections and passions and in one moment: PUFFFFF! No more Carlo, no more laughter together, no more frozen beers in front of the barbecue. All finished. The switch has turned off. It remains in all of us that we loved only regret and many dark questions: Why did none of us ever notice anything? Why have we never understood that in this being of his volcanically present in everyday life this malaise was hidden, such a profound "pain of living"? I don't know now and we will never know, Carlo brought all the answers with him, in the endless darkness. I wanted to remember ... Yardstick Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 (edited) I'd be prepared to bet that the 61st FS, HV-H was flow by Joe Powers. His later aircraft was HV-P but the nose art and name are the same. Captain Joseph H Powers, was born 8 June 1920 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He attended school in Tulsa and graduated Tulsa Central High School. He was attending The University of Oklahoma on 7 December 1941 when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, causing the US to enter WWII. He entered the U.S. Army Air Forces through the U.S. Army Air Forces' Aviation Cadet Program. He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant and assigned to the 61st Fighter Squadron, 56th Fighter Group, 8th Air Force, U.S. Army Air Forces based at Halesworth, England. He became an Ace in 1943 flying a P-47C. He was officially credited with 14.5 enemy aircraft shot down at the time World War II was over. He was just one half an aircraft short of being a triple Ace. After World War II Powers remained in the USAAF which in 1947 became the USAF. During the Korea War he was assigned to the 67th Fighter Bomber Squadron, 18th Fighter Bomber Group at the time of his death, 18 January 1951, when he was shot down. His remains were never recovered.
