New TAW campaign starts on Sunday 05.11.2017 in the morning. 

 

What's new:

• the script works in online mode. All events are analyzed during the mission and pilot's hangar is updated after each sortie,

• the Stalingrad_Center map has been extended, we added additional airfields,

• the Kuban map has been added,

• new layout of all buildings on the airfields. Now each airfield has it's own layout. You may check new recon photos on the main TAW page by clicking on the airfield name. Sirens and info about enemy plane near airfield were added,

• aircraft are shifted between maps. If pilot has more aircraft in his hangar at the end of the map than aircraft in the next map according to the plane set then additional aircraft are shifted (but no more than max quantity),

• if paratroops don't manage to capture enemy airfield,  they at least damage this airfield,

• airfield can be supplied by air transport no more than 30% during one mission,

• color of the icons on the map has been fix. Axis are blue and Allied are red. Please set "USSR always red" in game options,

• added info in the briefing how many mission particular airfield is closed,

• bug when enemy aircraft is shot down after end of pilot's sortie was fixed,

• new plane set:

• maps rotation: #1 Moscow_North, #2 Moscow_South, #3 Stalingrad_Center, #4 Kuban, #5 Moscow_North, #6 Stalingrad_Center, #7 Stalingrad_South, #8 Kuban

Agree! It’s my favorite plane in the game. Historically, shouldn’t the E model be present for all the battles covered on all maps? If it was, I don’t see how the P-40 would unbalance the map when compared to late axis aircrafts. Either way can’t wait to start. Hopefully NA time zones will have balanced teams this go around.

Was looking at the plane set - am curious about why the Russian side has two fewer "+1" transport aircraft than the German side on maps #1, #6, #7, and #8:

I realize the German side includes the Ju-52 transport, which not everyone has as it's a collector plane, so not everyone would automatically have an extra transport.  Thus I realize that's probably why the German side has had one more +1 transport plane per map in the past.  However, with the maps #1, #6, #7, and #8, even if you take away the Ju-52 the German side still has double the number of replenished (+1) transport bombers than the Russian side.

 

Is there a reason both the Pe-2 35 and 87 variants (as transports) are not available on all maps (I think they were both available on all maps the previous campaign cycle)?  This can become an issue when one side is trying to resupply airfields, as the German side would have a definite advantage (i.e. up to three aircraft per pilot on the German side vs one or two aircraft per pilot - depending on the map - on the Russian side).

Actually, I took a look at a German pilot's TAW profile just now, and I see that there is no Ju88 transport in map #1, so maybe it was listed in the plane set table/grid by mistake.  If so, then maybe it's just a matter of the plane set table/grid not quite accurate as displayed regarding transport aircraft/numbers.

I made a mission to bomb a bridge today,.. I did it and when I was about to land at my base (in about 3 minutes) , something I ignore put me outside of the server (I hadn't had done anything and Il-2 BOS FligthSim was still working so I rejoined TAW without reinitiating anything)... TWB I have been flying iL-2 Sturmovik for more than 10 years and been administrator and organizer of S.E.O.W and HRCODWARD admind of a server = gRiJ = Dedicated I assure you that the one that kills parachute with a TWB tag stains the reputation of the whole

Ecuadron I do not know what honor there is in killing parachute pilots that way to stain a good reputation of a squadron

Please log in and correct your squad name in the Squad Profile.

God I'm just rolling around in honor over here in my quiet, safe house, getting rammed by 109s that follow the dots when outnumbering 2 to 1 and don't know how to pull up since their stabilizer was fixed. Such honor, much wow. Honor all over the walls and ceiling... drowning in honor over here
