For what it is worth, just up today (this morning) on steam went the Dev Blog #231 (that we have already been given here 3 days ago) - with the news update 3.201 isn't far away...so, I don't think anything is coming today.

Two dev diaries in a row have stated that end of september will be when the update comes. It's end of september. However, monday next week is the last day of september, that's probably when they will release it.

I personally don't think they would release a huge update on a friday, there will most likely be bugs and issues that they could not address until the following week.

Ah  patch Fridays were great, you raced home from work and the update server was crushed?

You waited your turn and hoped somebody uploaded it on another server?

Then you had it and raced online to find your buddies, and of course they did not have it, so you spent the next hour passing out links to the other server.

 

Ahh now all is well ?, you have it and so do your buddies,   hummmmm nope ?just what the heck happened to my plane !!!!!!!!?

So patch Fridays always led into what the heck Saturday and then into lets go to the forums and talk about what you did to my plane Sunday! 

 

It was a great time to be a flight simmer? I truly miss those days !?

Yeah those patch Fridays ended up being a bit of a rough thing for both us and for the devs. Sometimes they worked through a weekend (not a good thing for long term health and well being of your programmers and staff) to get the game fixed up.

 

Since then 1CGS has seemingly had a strict policy of releasing early in the week. If things go wrong they are there in the office to sort it out so that we're up and flying for the weekend.

We'll see how closely we all guessed right ... or wrong

I also rather fondly remember patch-leaked Wednesdays.  Where one of Oleg’s minions always seemed to “accidentally” place the much awaited beta in an area where it could be readily downloaded.

Yes we will see. I certainly hope our injured Dev is doing better and getting back in the swing of things. Not because of the end of the month coming up though. We can wait a little while if that’s what it takes.

No it's rather common actually. They usually have sales just in front of major patches and so far all of them has ended before the patch goes live.

Better they have ended the Sales last week already…...anyway…...who needs a sale for IL-2 BoX series!?? In my opinion the Team deserves every Cent and should get more money for their great work.
