FW 190 A-3 skins

Recommended Posts

Hola otra vez 15[Span.]/JG51Navarro

Perdona antes no te entendi.

What would those tweaks be like?
And about the photos of the Blue Esc. They were from a military collector friend who has many memories of the Squadrons.
I commented on the subject of the skins and left them to me.
Sorry before I didn't understand you.

Hola E69_julian57,

Hello E69_julian57,
Good morning, here I send you the paint retouches that I think should be done to the skin of the white 12+ to be even more realistic if possible.

Of course based strictly on the photograph that accompanies the skin.

1. cone: I think the yellow part should go further back.
2. I don't know what this piece is called, it's the one with a little red circle inside and it's the one closest to the propellers: that part doesn't have to be painted yellow (see illustration).
3. I don't know what it's called either, I get the impression that you have given a greenish tone to that yellow color but it should be exactly the same color as the part underneath the engine (see illustration).
4. vertical band: it can be an erroneous perception of mine but I think that band should be a little bit inclined (see illustration) I know that you did not put that band like that and I do not know what you can do about it ...
5. background where the swastika is placed should be whiter.

As you can see, it is not much, or I hope so, obviously they are just suggestions and you decide if you modify it or not… but since both of us are interested in the subject of the EE.AA skins I think it would be great to do them as best as possible. And if I can help you with something I'd be delighted to. I personally would appreciate it very much and I would fly them with pleasure.

Thank you very much in advance.

Saludos/Greetings,
15(Span.)/JG51Navarro

Hola 15[Span.]/JG51Navarro
Saludos

Hello
thanks for the info
When you saw the photos, not everyone was painted in the same way on the helix identification bands and the cones as you see.
The photo you show me is more than 12 white, and in the skin I made, the eswastica is clear, the yellow band seems inclined on this occasion.
In any case, the idea was to unify the skins with the greatest possible historical detail given the little information that exists.
regards

Hola E69_julian57,

Hello E69_julian57

Yeah, I know, I've figured that out, too.

It's a real shame there aren't more pictures of the EE.AA's planes.

I understand.

A question... what number of plane do you think is where you see Captain Hevia on the wing, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9?

Un saludo,

15(Span.)/JG51Navarro

This is a semi-historical Fw190 A3 skin loosely based on and inspired by a picture of the Fw190 A5 of Hauptman Erich Leie Stab I./JG51 in Russia 1943. The massive kill score is due to me keeping score while flying an offline campaign using this aircraft and is not historical as neither is the 7 on the cowling. I just liked it that way. When and if I find more original photos of Leie's aircraft I will do an A5 in the future with historical markings.

That skin is from 2015 and will not work in sim with the new panel lines and rivets.  Here is one I made just for you. 👍

Find a skin you like and I'll make it.

Hey very cool. Thanks! I found one A5 from a very rare unit only temporarily in service (on loan) on the eastern front. It is not JG 51 but 3./JG 26. What do you think?

Wonderful skin Julian!

Mr. Sundin does incredible work, I have a ton of his books and he did a one meter print of Armin Faber's A3 for me.  BlackHellHound created a 2K version of that skin...any chance you could make a 4K version?

Hello @sevenless
Now I'm stuck with the D-9 5/jg 26 1 white.

This one after.

:salute:

No rush. Just how you like. Thanks!

Julian, a question you might be able to answer. How realistic is this one. Did some of the esquadrilla azul 190s feature that unit symbol on the cowling?

Sin prisa. Justo como te gusta. ¡Gracias!

In fact the 190 didn't have any shields painted on the fuselage
One of the many mistakes you see.
