Maybe not, mine had grown to almost 400mb and was still growing till I cancelled out.

Yeah I was In game, forgot about my TrackIR software so I relaunched, now this.

 

It got to about 130mb downloaded before it started growing the first time. I say first time because I tried to restart the download and it started at 15mb and is growing. At 240mb as I'm writing this

 

I've tried several times so far, it wont stop growing

 

It exceeded 300+ Mb one time and it said "Update Failed" where you would press Play

Ok well after I gave it several shots, It's now updated. I'm going to launch, and restart the game again to see if it does it again

My game seems to be running worse. The update has dropped my frames, when pulling up the in flight map frames drop even worse, almost un-useable. Game play feels more clunky. Am I missing something? I havent changed my settings post update. everything ran MINT pre update. Have many hours on here so help, would like to get back to owning the skies haha (:

What is the correct file size?  I am starting on my third attempt and it this starting to get very old.  BTW it has now been over 2 hours trying to get the hot fix.....

Thanks for the hot fix guys but I am having great difficulty in getting the game updated. I Am on my 5th attempt after getting Failed To Update and then the growing files several times.

 

Now the download bar is about 4/5’s of the way through but has stopped showing a download speed of 0.1 kB/s. Should I leave it in the hope it will improve or start yet again?

 

just got a message from McAfee. A risky connection has been blocked.

Were AI improvements included? I went through about 20 missions before the patch today in Career and my ai squadmates had only shot down 5 planes total during that time. I played 3 missions today, and they have already shot down another 6

Im in the same boat, have tried many times now, deleted update folder but that didnt work, update failed after crawling at 2Kb/s

On a side note though, update is taking ages to download. I'm using a 300Mb/s optic fiber Internet connection from the major ISP in France; I could accept an 8KB/s download rate for a free or even freemium game, but not for a paying one. Guys, you gotta do something about that...

Well, I for one am extremely disappointed when I read Jason's outbursts on the forum.

I'm a big fan of the game (bought all DLCs including Bodenplatte) but Jason's tone to a customer does nothing to maintain that image. I don't think emotions are allowed when dealing with customers no matter if they are right or wrong.

 

Also, in this particular case, Jason is wrong - the mod quoted by others is a simple parameter change that solves the cloud shimmering issue for me completely. So it is not "just how they work."

I guess living in a state that still thinks that the 70's is the best thing, it just might be your string to the node internet. Here within a real Territory with my NBN fibre I had no problem. However, might be worthwhile rebooting your pc and giving it another go as I'm sure it is just a glitch.

I deleted the update folder and got the download installed. It did take several tries as others mentioned. Thousands of people are all downloading this patch at the same time. We've all seen these glitches before. It's the nature of the beast I'm afraid.

 

I did notice when checking my video setting that the VR option was ticked. I sadly do not do VR and haven't had it enabled in my config previously. If some are experiencing a slowdown it might be worth looking at your settings again to make sure something you don't need or want isn't suddenly enabled.

 

Other than that, it seems to be running well here for me.

I do not know if this is already mentioned but it is impossible in the campaign mode to ask for the "object markers" they do not work at all.

Before the patch i could play, I have bad eyes, I can fly but planes at long distance are points until they are very very near. Also no vr for me.

Could this be corrected please so that at maximum difficulty the object markers could be there (making it custom difficulty) but still playable?

Second still there is the big problem with the chatter at radio that for could be in Martian language with the same result, gibberish and less and less tradition by written messages...

Otherwise thanks to try to  make the  game better even if most your efforts do not concern me, thanks.

I for one can live with your disappointment and will not lose any sleep over Jason's comments. I appreciate honesty, forthright discussions and frankness without resorting to "The buyer is always right" rubbish. However after all the good things that they have done you will never please everybody. Jason's comments will not stop me buying this product, however I will stop buying when he longer cares, however I expect Battle Of Pacific way before that.

 

 

PS  Thank you team for the update and the continued thrust to make things better. I never get this commitment from other products that I purchase.

You do realize there have been subtitles for the radio chatter since day one of the game's release, right?

It is  not a  solution, it is only a treat to say there is somthing but no real solution.

The constant chatter without any translation is more annoying than little chatter  with more subtitles.

Same here - updated just fine this morning and now that the hot fix is out not working at all - same issue as several others have already discussed.  Hopefully they will fix it at some point.  Will try again tomorrow...

Even after this update and 3.002b, there still is the bug were parachuters die when they land in the water.

Other than that, love the update. Graphics and Textures are good, some errors have been fixed. Can't wait for Bodenplatte in May

Unfortunately having the same problem as others are reporting.  Starts out as 385 MB update, goes along for a ways and then file size starts growing continuously so that update never completes and/or download speed drops off to nothing.  Tried deleting 'updates' folder several times and restarting the update to no avail.  What next?  Do a clean reinstall of the game?
