Thanks LG, great news! Looking forward to the upcoming campaign.
Players and squads posting which side they are going to join didn't really do much to improve the balancing in the last edition. As i already suggested a while ago, can't you just do some kind of pre-registration phase a few days ahead of the campaign start? This way, we can all see how many players registered for each side before the campaign starts. I'm pretty sure, there are a lot of players willing to switch sides for the sake of a better team balance.

Holidays are over and I’m back after quite long brake from the TAW and the script. My plan was to start the next campaign this weekend without any changes, but after reading last 10 pages on Il2 forum I decided to tune the script a little bit. Destruction of depot and captured territory will have lower effect on tank convoys in terms of spawning. I will try to adjust number of tank convoys on the map to different numbers of players on the server during the day. I hope it will somehow improve the gameplay. To find out we have to test it during the next campaigns. If it won’t meet our expectations then we can always return to the previous system with tanks.  

 

Anyway I plan to start next campaign in the next week.

265 Players have registered so far. 127 flying on Allied Side and 138 Axis players.
29 registered Squadrons, 16 Squads (72 Players) for Axis and 13 Squads (70 Players) for the Allies.

Numbers seem to be pretty even at the moment.

Maybe you're right. We'll know more when the campaign has started. But till then, those numbers are the best info we can get.

I really strongly want to fly my ju-52, mc.202, and hs129 collector planes that ive been practicing on, but more important factor is there is consistent player numbers, so I will wait for campaign to begin and register with whichever side is fewer. probably red. it must have been no fun for germans to fly sorties against empty enemy team no? we are all excited, I have gotten a large group of friends ready and excited for start date!

Please re-adjust the plane set to be more interesting.

 

I feel like the reds are getting more than necessary shaft in aircraft options with less P-40, Mig-3 and late appearance of relevant mods in some plane. 

 

There is no real reason to keep I-16 without 20mm in first map, making the mod in to +1 plane but in its own category and so on... specially in light that axis get what they get as early as they do. 

I mean, if you want some red participation in your maps, specially early on. 

If you are happy with how the things are, then ignore this.

Uh,  The TAW manual doesn't say bombs are excluded on blue fighters.  I think you confused this server with Wings of Duty.

I think he means the pilots has congenital condition that prohibits them for equipping any...
