1C, why are you making it so hard for me to give away an IL2 GB title?

There either is a massive sale going on or you confuse the crowd by announcing stuff only very few enthusiasts care about…?

Yeah, I know, you´d like to have my problems… ? 

 

Anyway, lets get started:

 

So you´re excited about the collector vehicles but actually short of a proper play ground? Don´t despair since there is good news:

I´ve got one shiny and brand new „Battle of Kuban Premium Edition“-license key to give away.

IL2BOK provides a beautiful countryside, a road network to get lost in, trees to bump into and cliffs to fall off from.

Oh, and there is some flying stuff as well just in case you´re interested. ?

 

The more seasoned among you already know this bit, for all the others:

To win IL2BOK, come up with a most entertaining, amusing and funny answer, what you are going to do first once you´ve bought your vehicles?

 

For me it will be this: Buy them, crash them once available into a lake so there is one less of those to worry about when people want to fly. ?

You might look for other things to do though…

 

Last time we did that sort of a give-away it was very entertaining. So, get creative and make people laughing their asses off.

The funnier your answer, the better your chances will be since you´ll collect reactions from forum members, hopefully lots and lots of laughing faces.

When the give-away ends, the member with the most „Ha-ha“-faces under their post(s) will be declared the winner and will get the license key.

 

The give-away starts now and will end Friday 25th September 22:00 Central European Summer Time (UTC+2).

Hi, I would like to enter in the giveaway, so here's what I'd do:

Drive them off a cliff to show everyone what such a pilot as myself thinks of SPAA.

 

 

 

I will definitely not win this, so I will probably get BOK once I have enough pocket money, but I spent it all on BOS and BOBP. I would really like to get my hands on the A-20.

I will chose one flak vehicle available online and park it near target objective of enemy. Then I will alt-tab watch some pr0n while waiting for the enemy aircraft to come anywhere nearby. I try to find '40s pin-up poster girls to simulate the time period. If I went "full real" I would smoke a tobacco IRL. After becoming overwhelmingly aroused of the pictures of pin-up girls just like 20 years old soldier would become I would leave my vehicle to get some discrete relief. While jerking it hard I would hear the sound of an incoming IL-2, and could only watch from bushes as the IL-2 promptly destroys my flak vehicle with some well aimed rockets. Then while rolling the pin-up posters to my pockets I would think about the official story I must make for the report, while laughing about the real situation and thinking to whom I could tell about it ?

Great, just awesome, got it in my library, now only missing one expansion + DLCs, of which I will eventually get them all. These are for me like pokemon are for some. Gotta get them all!

 

This is amusing how this day and this event especially has taken me back in time when I was a little kid. My first memoirs of my father is he doing me paper airplanes, of which I then tossed around in awe, and observed carefully how he make them so that I could make them myself too. I climbed both indoors and outdoors to heights so that I could toss a paper airplane and watch for longer how it fly. I made different paper airplanes to figure out a model which would fly longer and take more beautiful curving slides. So much fun it was.

 

Then I grew older, was like 6 years old and found a way to make money, which was awesome since now I got a way to get those plastic DIY plane models and paints from a toy shop I dreamed of. In Finland we had this system that you were able bring all beer bottles and soda bottles back to a shop and get money of them, they were recycled that way. I lived with my mother in sort of big student dorm area, and there was no shortage of empty bottles and nice people. So I just went from door to door and asked if people have empty bottles they can't be bothered to take back to a shop, and hell yes, they got them. Back then there were 1 liter Coca Cola bottles made of heavy glass, the bottle weighting a ton. So two plastic bags, one in each hand could really make me struggle a bit. But was it worth it! Now I could suddenly buy anything I wanted from the toy shop. It was freedom to make your dreams come true.

 

So now I sit here like that little boy who got his first paper airplane from his father. This time though it is in digital form, Battle of Kuban. But some things has not changed. I am still that little boy, I understand. But it is alright, it is as it should be. He was me, and I am him. We are the same person, just a bit different ages. Only the toys has changed, became a bit more elaborate, giving you chances to get experiences you could not quite get before except in your dreams. The question "how it would be to fly those planes" remains unanswered while in the same time can be said that better you never had to know. It is the best that the virtual cockpit is open,  and the virtual plane is ready for you anytime you want.

Would surely enjoy of it, just realized I haven't got it yet. When I checked before I got confused it being highlighted, thinking I have it, but it was just on my wishlist.

 

Now things are more in line as they are expected to be. Have not used to get stuff for free.

Got it now, and the premium edition too. Wow, amazing, surprised. Noticed I could gift the expansion, feel a bit dirty and greedy keeping it myself. Like getting candy as a kid and eating them all by yourself and not sharing anything with your friends ? But the expansion would had been most probs wasted if I gifted it, I know only one person IRL who has played IL-2, and he did not play for long. Stopped playing after Coop campaign mission where he suddenly attacked me from behind, and 1 minute later he exploded on the ground, and I laughed a lot ? He was a CS and Battlefield guy.

Surely will have. My old TrackIR5 has died, now trying Freetrack and checking mail and SMS messages every day several times to see if DELANCLiP finally arrived, but while waiting become about fine with using mouse to look around to the point I would not find using mouse a little bit annoying if not remembering how it was with TrackIR.

 

Had plans to go learn bombers, thinking that at this age better leave fighters to young guns, but the switch is hard, it rocks so much to be a little bit rash primadonna fighter pilot ?

Man, I played quite some F-117A Nighthawk, and learned to like the stealth approach, which is very much the same approach you must take in IL-2, and which makes the dog fighting Fortnite servers to make much more sense and be more immersive. Bombing also contributes to the war effort in certain servers, making it even more  lucrative to fly those big ninjaing beasts ?
