List of Current Scripted Campaigns

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I made this spreadsheet to keep track of campaigns I've installed/flown since my in-game menu is very cluttered with so many installed. I figured it might be useful to others that enjoy single player as well so I've uploaded a shared copy.

A few notes about the list:

  • Order is grouped by map then mission date in the war, colour code Blue=Axis and Red=Allies
  • This doesn't include ALL campaigns, I've only included those that I know about with updates/uploads in the last few years. If anyone can verify I've missed a campaign that works fine in the current version I'll gladly add it (and fly it).
  • I haven't flown all of these, so my information may not be 100% accurate. Let me know where I've made a mistake.
  • WW1/FC campaigns and Training Campaigns are in separate tabs.
  • Tank crew campaigns are not included, scope covers flight sim campaigns only.
  • Some campaigns before the recent patches require you to re-save. Open bin\editor\STEditor.exe in the game folder, then select Tools->Resave all missions in folder.  Target the campaign folder and it should fix most older campaigns.

Download the Excel sheet here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mxn5x99qjkd0kmn/Campaigns SHARED.xlsx?dl=0

There's some very good user created campaigns, I just started Lions of Kalinin with the E7

Hi Dan,

Did you overlook 'Ivan's War' and 'Achtung Jabos' for any reason?  Both are working fine in 4.006 as far as I can tell.

The number of free user created campaigns is really impressive  - testament to the skill and enthusiasm of the excellent campaign (and single mission) builders on this forum.

Must have just missed them, there really is alot to choose from now!

I've found them now and will check them out tomorrow to add to the list.

Here's an old one that has been just re-released with 4.006 compatibility:

I have downloaded it, but not flown yet, so I leave it to you @Dan_Taipan for checking out.

Thanks, that's great it's good with 4.006 now.

Original link in first post updated, I count 34 campaigns for WW2, 2 for WW1, and a training campaign for every aircraft. Going to be busy trying to fly them all! Thank you to all the creators who put in the work.

It looks like Gambit21's P-47 campaign should be ready soon as well, I'll wait for pre order or release.

What about the campaigns in the Russian forum?

I never saw a Russian forum ?

How many more campaigns?

If someone fluent in Russian can add the campaigns to the list that would be great, Ican add edit access for a Russian speaker.

Just need a volunteer, would probably want to add a column to list translations in that case as well.

After a fix to the Moscow map, the user-made Moscow campaigns need to be updated (https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/63323-important-changes-for-the-battle-of-moscow-maps/)

I've moved the affected campaigns to another tab in the sheet. If you want to fly them you can do the updates to the missions yourself, or wait for the creator to upload a new version.

When new versions are uploaded I'll move them back to the other tab.

Dan, if you log into the Russian Forums using your IL2 credentials, using Google Chrome as the browser, it auto translates. Sorry I haven't saved the link to the Russian conversations :(

I will see if I can find it and post it here for you. Its such a shame they are separated.

Thanks, have updated. Thanks @Juri_JS !  I've already finished Lions of Kalinin, but hope to get time to fly JG 51 over Rzhev Salient one day soon

Not only didn't I know the Russian forum exists, I still don't even know where it is :)

I only know of il2sturmovik.com and don't see any links to Russian forum.. Also Google Translate is not very good, it makes a lot of errors.

If the Russian made campaigns have translation files included for the missions though it could be nice to add them if a Russian speaker can help.

The reason I wouldn't want to rely on google translate is I need to find out all of:

1. The start and end date of the campaign

2. The planes used

3. The maps used

4. Confirm it is working on recent versions by reading comments

I just checked the link and it doesn't help me at all sorry - my previous response said I was looking for a Russian speaking volunteer to add them.

Even on the English forum I had to read through the posts to find out the planes included, the number of missions and other metadata. Also to test the campaigns to make sure they're still working, and filter out any that had been abandoned. I just had a look with google translate and found alot of the campaigns listed there are just duplicates, and for the others it doesn't translate very well.

If a Russian speaker can edit a copy of the sheet I'll add to the list what they send me.

These are not on your spreadsheet. The list needs updating. ;)

Thanks I've been subscribed to watch those campaigns progress.

Currently the Ju52 campaign is broken, and Kuban Wall is not complete yet (and the 2 existing missions are in redevelopment). Looks like a cool project I hope he gets time to continue it.

Once they are fully complete I'll add them too

@Dan_Taipan, thanks so much for creating and maintaining this list. I will download tonight and have a look. Love the SP Campaigns and do not want to miss any of them.

Thank you for preparing this. I was making my own but this is so much better. I like to fly in certain parts of the war and this tells me which campaigns to fly.

Thanks for the list. Made me realized that Kommando Nowotny went under my radar. I already had all the others, except the Ju52 one, because I do not really like this plane.

I tried searching but could find it... once upon a time I'd come across a spreadsheet someone had made of the various campaigns and when they occurred (as well as other things about them I think). Does anyone know where a copy of that could be found?

For example I've been playing lions of kalinin followed by 10 days of autumn, which is following the german side in BoM, and then ice ring, which is the Russian side of the same events, and I'd decided to do so based on this list I'd seen but now can't find.

I've heard fortress on the Volga follows 10 days, it'd be neat to see anything listing various relationships between campaigns for whatever larger narrative arc types of purposes.

Thanks!

The spreadsheet doesn’t seem to include Breaking Point or Last Chance. The 1st mission of Last Chance starts about an hour after Breaking Point’s 1st mission, and you’ll have to alternate between the two of them to play in chronological order.

Yes! That's it exactly. I was having the damnedest time finding it. It was the most info in one place I've seen yet.

Got a link to breaking point and last chance?

I scan the front page of the campaigns forum every now and then and didn't see them pop up.
