Too many winter stuff..?

The majority of the skins in this thread are non-Eastern Front spring and summer skins.

What I mean is the skins I made. not the all skins in this thread.

Gustav, I really love your skins, especially the last one you posted! Fantastic colors!

If I may, I would recommend you to make white less bright, and black less dark. That would make the markings blend in with the look of the game much better.  :salute:

Let's just clarify - the red nose and letter markings in the colour photo were done by the factory for the initial delivery flight (photo taken in Poland during transit) but the Luftwaffe didn't fly them over Russia with red markings for obvious reasons.

Yes, 2 and 6./Schl.G.1 used Black instead of Red (it is confirmed by losslists data)

But 8.(Pz)/Schl.G.1 used Red letters.

Its a Fw190 /\+F of 1./Schl.G.1, april 1943, Kuban Battle. Still, emblem on skin is totally wrong.

I made this skin base on the scheme presented on the book" FW190 volume one 1938-1943" ISBN 978-1-906537-29-6

I am very glad that you like it. Actually I already try to make the" white less bright, and black less dark" when I was creating this skin, but seems it changes alot when loaded in the game. I will try to improve it when I have time. Thank you for the advice.

Sorry, but profile is wrong, same with description.

Schlacht triangle was used only by II.(Schl.)/LG2, Schl.G.1 (from jan.1942 to march.1943) and Erg.Schlachtgruppe (and parts of SG151 - training unit).

Schl.G.2 never used triangles, as SKG10.

Also, author even does not know, why it was placed before and after Balkenkreuz!

About emblem:

It was an emblem of Hs129B-equipped 4th (Panzerjager) Staffel of Schl.G.1.

Bear - Henschel lokomotiv works were placed near Berlin (Bear was a simbol of this sity).

Tank - means tank hunt, main job of Staffel.

Panzerbar , Thank you for the clarification. I find the Fw190 also carries " hunting tank bear" emblem as shown below.

Nice find...

The only aircraft with this emblem I saw - it is Hs129.

Millerovo, NW from Stalingrad. febr.1943. Remains of Hs129 of 4.(Pz)/Schl.G.1

If it doesn't bother you guys, can someone post a specific A3 model with detail number and insignia that did take part in battle of stalingrad?

Prefer some aces pilot and winter skins with hakenkreuz. Many thx!

Only the "poor man's Foke Wulf"  flew at Stalingrad:

Don't expect to see that in game, it's not fancy enough.

Some next historical skins from II./JG1:

Weisse 10, Fw-190A-3, II./JG1, 4. Staffel, pilot unknown, Woendsrecht, late summer 1942
Number 10 is in a way unique - 4. Staffel used in the summer of 1942 two machines with the same designation. This "new" white 10 is photographically documented on the airport Woensdrecht in late summer 1942 year.
From "old" white 10 is different camouflage, new type of Tatzelwurm on engine deck, larger and differently positioned number 10, has no color indicated on the lower engine cover, etc. It is possible that it is a plane with exchanged rear.

Weisse 2, Fw-190A-3, II./JG1, 4. Staffel, pilot unknown, Woendsrecht, summer 1942

This plane was probably first in 4. staffel with new type of Tatzellwurm

Nope, alphas are there. I prefer mat-to-satin finishes, vs highly reflective in the default setting, so the alphas are severely adjusted. ;)

Btw is that default high reflective paint realistic? I mean it make sense that camouflage should be mat. How did they paint their machines at that time?

of course if you like this effect, But to be frank I think it looks like a paper plane. beside such treatment will cause the plane lose speed in real life.
