Developer Diary, Part 71

Recommended Posts

Looking forward to seeing how the radio compass works as it will be important to getting around the large relatively featureless (navagation wise)  map.  Having working slip (needle/ball) indicators and variometers is great progress too.  I hope that the 109G model can get sorted/polished like the F was regarding the linear throttle response etc..  All in all sounds like a good update so thanks for you hard work.

We're still working on the version, gents. Sorry for delay, that AQM (aka campaign) thing is big and it's biting our hands while we're trying to put it inside the game.

It must be after midnight with you in Moscow.   Apologize, say "Sorry, not tonight guys and girls" go home, get a beer and chill out, life is too short.  Next week will be fine.

So far I've been able to keep calm about the widescreen problems, since this is of course an early access title and such things are to be expected. I've been able to take a peek at the game from time to time and that's just fine for me.

However, now with the campaign starting to arrive I'm afraid my heart will break and I will have to shed a number of manly tears in despair.

Boy oh boy, whatever we get I cant wait! Wont make it home till the kiln shuts down, 5+ hrs ... but I'm dreaming of flaming targets every time I look into the firebox. ;)

Thanks for all the news and keep up the good work!

I'm fine :-)   Will only leave the night shift around 07:30 GMT, and arrive home 01:20 after that... If I can resist going to bed by that time, I'll do my update at a peaceful time, early saturday.

Looking forward for the VSI, Turn coordinator ( including the inclinometer ) and the AH.

They said it will be in the game built, but it says not for early access.

I guess it will be only available for the testers

It doesn't mean that Campaign would be playable in early access. Come on, have you even read the dev blog today?

Certainly, but when you write the campaign is biting your hands trying to get it in and hence the delay, it kind of gives the impression it will be in the new update.

Actually, yes you wrote something about a great campaign, you put it into the game but it is not accesable... But really, don't rush it. It is not accessable for us so we can wait until monday. :)

Well maybe yes :) Anyway, the plan remains the same, and I'm sorry that we're delaying the update this time.

No worries, remember we think like consumers, rather than programmers :)

No matter, to be honest as the single player element is SO important to me, I'm happy to wait until it's final rather than play it whilst it's incomplete.

Same here, and in fact being only a SP at this time, I have not played BOS much the last three to four weeks, really looking forward to seeing what the SP campaign will bring.

Thanks for keeping us informed and no worries if the technical difficulties mean a further delay..it's all about the quality chaps.  I do think you should go home to your families and friends and chill with beer / vodka if it gets too late..sod the update!

Devs must hate Fridays

Indeed it's Saturday 01:00am in Moscow already. And they have been releasing updates later than this already, so let's appreciate their hard work :)

In our country this would be a "That's what she said." joke.   :lol::salute:

It appears to be up! ;)

I know it's long and hard, waiting that is, but try and stay away from the Porn sites while you wait, it's bad for your eyes, trust me, I know.
