SARFlytitus Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 (edited) Project A.N.R. (Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana - Italy - October 27 1943 - April 19 1945 By SARFlytitus e geraki9 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aeronautica_Nazionale_Repubblicana Hello everyone! In this topic I will publish the skins of some Messerschmitt Bf109 G6 - G10 - G14 and K4 used by the A.N.R. These skins are the result of the common historical and modeling passion and the close collaboration with my great Friend and skinner geraki9 and made possible thanks to the magnificent 4K templates created by ICDP and RaFiGer (... as well as from an imposing abuse of beer and cigarettes continued until late at night! The intention is to create and share with the many fans of this community some of the liveries dressed by the 109 used by the Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana (A.N.R.). Certainly among the most original and captivating, as far as little known! The work is always very demanding given the difficulty in finding sufficiently complete and reliable written and photographic sources. Consulting the little existing documentation*, crossing photographic references and "credible" assumptions and processing everything with that twilight logic that could have modified particular mimetic patterns and heraldic in those last years, months or days of WWII, we certainly won't pretend to offer you the "definitive" A.N.R. Skins but, surely, we have tried to stay within the canons of a discreet and plausible historical fidelity. As always, internet , Google and Pinterest are the source of enormous discoveries and equally great contradictions. An excellent source on the Web is the site "www.anritalia.it" curated by Mr.Paolo Pesaresi. Your comments will help us to continue on this project. Thank you! *The photographic, artistic and modeling material found on the net has been widely integrated by some publications in our possession, among the most important I want to point out: "The Camouflage & Markings of the Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana 1943-45" by F.D'Amico & G.Valentini (Ian Allan Publishing) "Regia Aeronautica Vol.2 Pictorial History of the Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana and the Italian Co-Belligerent Air Force" by F.D'Amico & G.Valentini (Squadron/Signal Publications) "Messerschmitt Bf 109 In Action Part 2" N°57 by John R. Beaman,Jr & Don Greer (Squadron/Signal Publications) "The Italian Aces of the WW2" by G.Massimello & G.Apostolo (OSPREY Aviation) "The Bf 109 Aces of North Africa and The Mediterranean" by Jerry Scutts (OSPREY Aviation) "Regia Aeronautica, storia uomini e macchine di un aviazione immortale" (Delta Editrice) "Aerei nella Storia" N°66 luglio 2009 (Delta Editrice) "La Regia Aeronautica nella seconda guerra mondiale" by Nico Sgarlato (Delta Editrice) "Messerschmitt Bf 109 G/K Augsburg Eagle" N°290 (MODEL ART Co.Ltd) "Camouflage & Markings of the Luftwaffe Aircraft Vol.1 Day Fighters" (MODEL ART Co.Ltd) "Aero Detail N°5 -Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-" (Dai Nippon Kaiga Co. Ltd.) Progetto A.N.R. (Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana - Italia - 27 Ottobre 1943 - 19 April 1945) By SARFlytitus & geraki9 https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aeronautica_Nazionale_Repubblicana Ciao a tutti! Grazie! *Il materiale fotografico, artistico e modellistico reperito in rete è stato ampiamente integrato da alcune pubblicazioni in nostro possesso l'elenco delle quali è riportato sotto il testo in inglese. SARFlytitus Posted February 15, 2020 Author Posted February 15, 2020 (edited) Hi All! in this community we meet to talk about airplanes, our airplanes, their history and the men who flew them. This happens and the terrible images of a conflict that changed the whole world flow in the background. For the more distracted, it's just a little wargame for spongy Peter Pan and with a few extra pounds on the waist ... For many of us it's much more! It is passion, reflection, desire for understanding and knowledge and maybe also a way to keep alive the memory of many young lives blown away under flags, right or wrong they were. So it happens that in this restricted circle for adult gentlemen it can happen to meet one's own kind. Almost twin brothers unfairly separated at birth. We find ourselves united, lovers of the same things and with curiously overlapping mental patterns ... in short, we discover true Friends, close even if divided by whole oceans or continents. This is the story of my friendship with geraki9 but I am sure that many will recognize and recognize the many friends met in this great community. Thank you all! Thanks geraki9, thanks My friend! Your enthusiasm and competence are a powerful engine (almost like a DB605) ? Ciao a tutti! Grazie a Voi tutti! Grazie geraki9, grazie Amico mio! Il tuo entusiasmo e la tua competenza sono un motore potente (quasi come un DB605) ? Edited February 15, 2020 by SARFlytitus 2 2
JG_deserteagle540 Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 @SARFlytitus. Nice work on the skins! Thanks a lot for this work. Only one request: would it be possible to use another type of software for compressing? Like 7-zip for example? Best regards.
SARFlytitus Posted February 15, 2020 Author Posted February 15, 2020 @JG_deserteagle540 Thanx for your appreciation, i've just edited my topic by adding links to 7zip versions of the files. Enjoy m8! ? 2
Sheriff88 Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 (edited) Great work!! I really appreciate your effort. You are probably familiar with references by Ferdinando D'Amico and Gabriele Valentini, as well as the Osprey series on Italian Aces . Here's an Ugo Drago G-14 I did some time ago. A bit scruffier than yours. Plus a fictitious 1 Stormo G-4. Grazie mille!? Edited February 15, 2020 by Sheriff88 1 1

Can you give me a link to download ? I like the heavy wheathering in it. Well done!
Poochnboo Posted February 15, 2020 Posted February 15, 2020 These are, I assume, the mounts of Italian pilots who stayed loyal to the Fascists after Italy surrendered. I never fly German airplanes, but being an Italian American, these give me some small connection to the 109 that might get me in it. I'm one of those for whom these sims are more than just video games. They are a part of my passion for aviation history. While it may be a bit silly, I have to be able to see myself in the airplane in real life to really enjoy flying it. Maybe it's one of the reasons that I just can't get into any of the Russian machines, although I tried. They just don't interest me. But I'll try these. Ciao. 1

geraki9 Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 The A.N.R. goes on... I am attaching two other screenshots of the models published today by SARFlytitus. They are very particular because, provided that being the same plane, see the serial number, 3-17 was modified in livery and marks on the field. Ah! if you like flowers in the meadows, as I have seen that many like them pilots, download them from here: http://www.mediafire.com/file/39i638zc562b3t6/Flytitus_grass_%26_flowers.7z/file http://www.mediafire.com/file/hd54h5dej4hnt8f/sunflower_Summer_grass_texture.7z/file SARFlytitus created them to cheer up bad landings and take-offs...? RaFiGer Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 @SARFLYtitus & geraki9 What a fantastic work for these planes ? ? I really like to way you did it as a rview of the ANR as such It would be nice to have a map covering some of the used Airfields and have missions available, as thee are already planes which was used over Italian sky's. I like the maps of IL2-1946 covering the Med, but unfourtunatly there are not direct useable in our new sim. I have lost a great uncle of my german part of my family over the mediterrainian sea, flying Bf-109 for JG 77 by mid 1943 so there is a personel interest in a Great Battle Italy and of course a Bf-109 G10 Thank you very much & keep up the fantastic work! 2

SARFlytitus Posted April 22, 2020 Author Posted April 22, 2020 (edited) Thanks @RaFiGer for your appreciation. It is very satisfying to know that you like our work, you the author of one of the great templates that my friend geraki9 and I use to transform the fruit of our humble historical research into skins. As already written in presenting our work, we are aware that the historical correspondence unfortunately cannot be as accurate as we would like. For exemple, the lack of some peculiar models in the Sim and the very scarce availability of quality photographic documentation forces us to make some small compromises. We want to forgive the many super experts of any variant of 109. Nonetheless, we strongly wanted to pay tribute to those forgotten young men and to their fantastic flying machines. The story is unique, both for the winners and the losers, it is HISTORY. No political manipulation. Rome or Carthage, Axis or Allies, The Russian steppe or the battle of Britain. In every episode of human war history, an infinite number of human beings sacrificed their lives, often in good faith, for their flag. When we skin a Spit, a Yak or a 109 we bring up a small piece of history that we want to share with all those who are curious and passionate. So sometimes it happens that we spend whole evenings building and painting an airplane kit telling to your 12 year old grandson the tales of Hartman or Closterman, Sakai, Visconti, Drago, Bader and all the multitude of unsung Heroes. So, thank you sincerely again for the appreciation that you and the others, Experten or Rookies, have shown us! SARFlytitus Edited April 22, 2020 by SARFlytitus 1

Domenico Quasso I found very little and I am about to give up, I think it will see the light as w. nr. unknown. In the meantime, I'm trying to tidy up my bookcase and then I'll put my hand to the Galletti's white 6 ... OK, 1 Bianco and 8 Bianco Ready to go ! SARFlytitus Posted April 30, 2020 Author Posted April 30, 2020 @PrimusZerlina Am I wrong or do I see a spiral on that spinner? Ok, another small piece that goes in its place, now I beg you: FIND ALSO A PHOTO WITH THE EVIDENCE OF WING INSIGNA ! ??? Seriously, thank you very much because the only photo in our possession till now did not at least resolve the doubt about the spinner ! ?? 1
