LLv24_SukkaVR Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 Just preordered Ju-52. Cant wait! Btw do we know what kind of missions we can fly with this bird when its released? Transport cargo? Drop paratroopers?
YoYo Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 Transport cargo? Drop paratroopers? Yes, it was in announcement. Here example: http://forum.il2sturmovik.com/uploads/monthly_10_2016/post-19-0-15366400-1477566851.jpg 1
Horna Posted November 10, 2016 Posted November 10, 2016 Pre-ordered. Just a question, do I get the activation key upon the release? I received a confirmation mail but didn't see any keys.

Your licence keys should - I think - be listed in your profile on the main BoS website (not the forum bit). You have to log in there (same user name and password as for the forum and the game itself). Mine are listed here: http://il2sturmovik.com/store/license-keys/ 1

I got BOS from here and BOM from Steam so got a bit confused with the keys. Thanks for the help o7
Pharoah Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 Just purchased. Should be good trying to sneak this bird into Stalingrad with enemy fighters lurking everywhere! 1
Haza Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 Gents, The month of the JU52 has arrived. Regards
Nil Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 Oh Yes! I am still not believing the dev team is making this bird! They are so awesome!!

Gosh!! this will be the most detailed and realistic ju52 created for a simulator!!! If only I can hug the dev team for that !

Cant wait to fly it online in formation flying low in bad weather into the Stalingrad pocket Edited December 1, 2016 by 6./ZG26_McKvack
Trooper117 Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 The kind of missions we will be able to fly thanks to the devs are many! I must have been asleep somewhere.... what kind of missions have been confirmed by the dev's?
Jade_Monkey Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 I must have been asleep somewhere.... what kind of missions have been confirmed by the dev's?Paratroopers, some sort of supplies and perhaps more.
6./ZG26_McKvack Posted December 1, 2016 Posted December 1, 2016 I must have been asleep somewhere.... what kind of missions have been confirmed by the dev's? Droppable supplies, paratroopers have been confirmed by the devs and transport missions are already in the game. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw some improvement on that as well but that is only my thought. Med-evac is also possible
Blooddawn1942 Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 I would opt for a paid campaign for the Ju 52. Just like the one we are able to pre-order right now for the 109 F-2. 1
YoYo Posted December 2, 2016 Posted December 2, 2016 I would opt for a paid campaign for the Ju 52. Its a good idea. +1 1
Nil Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 I would pay as well for the campaign for Tante Ju By the way , anyone noticed that there is no Special Pre Order skin for Tante Ju? (there is one for the Yak)
Cybermat47 Posted December 7, 2016 Posted December 7, 2016 I would pay as well for the campaign for Tante Ju By the way , anyone noticed that there is no Special Pre Order skin for Tante Ju? (there is one for the Yak) I believe the Tante Ju preorder skin has yet to be revealed. 1
ICDP Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 I have been away from BoS for a long time now because to be honest I did not remotely like the direction it had taken. I was adamant I would not support the sim as long as it was going in a direction I did not want or support. Now that the devs (under Jason) have taken a pretty much 180 and decided that decent SP is actually important I am happy to begin supporting the sim again. Since Jason's announcement of the direction the sim will take in the future, I have purchased BoM, BoK, the Yak-1b and now the Ju-52. DX11, better performance with multiple AC, VR support, career mode (improved from Rof) and new features. Bring it on guys and well done. 3
Nil Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Welcome back ICDP! Also invite your friends; we need all the support we get!
sinned Posted December 9, 2016 Posted December 9, 2016 Yeah, I also bot Yak 1b, ju 52, bom and bok to give them support and one day, i will see pacific.
7.GShAP/Silas Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 Is it possible for me to purchase the Ju-52 as a gift for someone?
1CGS BlackSix Posted December 10, 2016 1CGS Posted December 10, 2016 Is it possible for me to purchase the Ju-52 as a gift for someone? Yes, as for any our products.
7.GShAP/Silas Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 Yes, as for any our products. Thank you, picked up two more as gifts.
Nil Posted December 10, 2016 Posted December 10, 2016 Hurry up! the pre order for Tante Ju is closing down Last chance to grab it! (and to get an exclusive skin!) That is why I just bought 1 as a gift. A total of 3 Tante Ju bought for me. Why? well in case of the Russian shoot 2 of them (which they love to!) I still have 1 left
Haza Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 (edited) Gents, Perhaps a silly question, but I just want clarification that the JU52 will work with BOS, BOM and BOK, so if you only currently have BOS and you purchase the JU52, you should be able to use it in multi-player BOS games!? I only ask as I wish to gift a JU52 to a player who only owns BOS. I appreciate that the JU52 was actually used for real at Stalingrad, but just want to make sure from a game point of view that only owning BOS will not limit you from using the JU52 Cheers Edited December 14, 2016 by Haza
6./ZG26_5tuka Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 Yes, you can can use the Ju-52 (and any other collector plane for this matter) in any of the current expansions of IL-2.
HR_Tumu Posted December 14, 2016 Posted December 14, 2016 any planes for new future collector planes?? How run this iniciative until now? have a good results on sells this collector planes?? thx

Pharoah Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 i saw the little video on the JU-52 on FB this morning. TBH i wished i hadn't. Making the JU52 fly around like a fighter (and seeing it roll like a fighter) gives me doubts about its FM. This is a big 3 engine transport plane, not a Yak 1B. What we should be seeing are straight and level flights in formation dropping cargo and/or paratroopers.

Just try to turn with a He111 or a Ju88 and you will see a similar behavior. except that they have a higher stall speed so they can not turn as tight. Tante Ju is a slow but with very maneuverable. I fly for REAL a real aircraft 65Horsepower light plane, (jodel d112) And I can tell you that I tested how it turns, and believe me it can turns very tight AND it is not a fighter. Fighter have not the monopoly of the maneuverability. Edited December 16, 2016 by Nil
Blooddawn1942 Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 (edited) But I have to agree Pharaoh somehow, that this kind of flying looks absolutely odd for the Ju-52. Whether she's capable of flying like that or not. I see a Ju-52 in the summer time every Sunday's flying across our region where I live and she is flying very slow and majestic. I'm sure there's more than one Dev that would like to box your ears though. 2

What we should be seeing are straight and level flights in formation dropping cargo and/or paratroopers. Crikey and it's not even out yet! Good effort. It's up to a pilot how he flies an aircraft and Jason chose to show a different side to the aircraft, I doubt any sane person would do those maneuvers that close to the ground in real life for sure but this isn't real life is it. Don't forget, when it's not loaded it's not a heavy transport aircraft, it has power to spare. My glider has no engine at all but you sure can fling it around the sky 2
6./ZG26_5tuka Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 The Ju-52 has a high lift wing profile so it's no suprise it's quite manouvreable at speed. Some people expect larger aircrafts to be big lumbering junks of metal barely able to keep themself airborne. That's just not true. Similar discussion about the Ju-87 back in the day when Yak pilots found themself outturned by one and complained "it should be worse because it's a bomber!". Just shows there's litte understanding for aerodynamics. 2
Dakpilot Posted December 16, 2016 Posted December 16, 2016 People forget that Cargo Aircraft and bombers are designed to fly long ranges with a large payload, when empty and with low fuel weight they can have a surprising power to weight ratio When I was doing a rating on a (large) medium twin engine cargo aircraft, the Factory test pilots were practicing a routine for an airshow to promote sales, the routine included a full loop immediately followed by an engine cut, single engined touch and go with a roll on climbout, engine restart, short circuit and a very short field landing The routine was not approved by civil aviation due to safety and aircraft certification issues, and never took place in public. It was however impressive to see what professional pilots with intimate knowledge of their aircraft limitations could achieve safely There is however another side to this, if one reads about the B-52 (famous video) which crashed at +- 90 degree AoB while practicing for an airshow, the Captain had had multiple safety warnings and many crews refused to fly with him...there is always a limit, and risk has to be carefully managed/eliminated While the DC-4 in the vid above does not perform a loop, it is nevertheless an impressive wingover Cheers Dakpilot 2

Why do you think aircraft designed to thread the needle and do extremely dangerous jobs would be lumbering around? Read a couple accounts from the siege at Dien Bien Phu if you doubt it so much.
