Stick, you can, if you want, remove the wheel covers... modify the alphs channel for that (just like the LaGG wheel covers)

I made all of the JV44 Skins in War Thunder

If you like to see more Pictures of the Doras - look here (german language)

FW190 D-11 Red4 (the number of Bodo Dirschhauers plane is unknown - i took the Red2

all the other Doras at the end of this page and also the Me262 of the JV44

the FW190 D-9 of the JV44

the painting of the camouflage of the JV44 Doras is at each plane different! To create the original skins for JV44 you cant copy / paste the camo.

Under the number of the "rote 4" was the old number 58.

rote4_d129mkfj.jpg

It wasnt easy to make the historic skin of the doras at Airfield Bad Aibling (close to munich).

In Austria, the later Airfield of the JV44 they found a Dora without white lines under the wings because 2 doras where lost at Bad Aibling. The two new planes of the JV44 in Austria had different paintings as the two planes at Bad Aibling.

Black 3 is a 4k skin based on an historic aircraft. I want to thank ICDP for his great template.

Background:

Black 3 is only one of two fully restored model A3s still in existence. It is currently on display in the Norwegian Aviation Museum in Bodø Norway.

The plane was built in 1942 at the AGO factory in Ochersleben, with the serial number 0132219. The original factory marking was KI+GX. In 1943 the marking was changed to "Black 3" to replace "Black 3" no. 0132102 of 14(J) JG 5 which was lost to flak in the Soviet Union on 22 May 1943. In 1943 the Staffel and the aircraft were transferred to Petsamo in North Finland. Here "Black 3" took part in the attacks on Russia as part of 14 Staffel, JG5 Jabo.

On 5 October 1943, pilot Hans Gunther Kleemann from 14 Staffel in JG5 Eismeerjager took off in Black 3 from Petsamo, but ran out of fuel over Kongsfjord after losing his way in heavy snow showers. Kleenmann had to bail out, escaping with just a foot injury. The aircraft crashed on the mountain Div´gacærro in Kongsfjord. In 1986 what was left of the wreck was taken down from the mountain for restoration. It was finally put on display in 2013.

Photo of restored aircraft. Other photos show the aircraft without wheel fairings. It is hard to know which is correct so I made one skin of each. Both contain hakenkreuz.

Hope you like it and that your flights turn out better than Kleemann’s.

Cheers!

Great looking skin.  21mb?  That's bigger than the other 4k skins I've downloaded.  Is this a mipmap thing?

Yes, mipmaps make it bigger, but that actually helps performance with multiple AC in a large battle.

8 v 8 (16 AC total), all 4k skins

No mipmaps use around 110MB extra on my VRAM.  4GB Fury X at 4k monitor resolution.

I'm a bit late to the party, but I just wanted to say thanks to Rob for this one... it has special value for me  ;)

Will it be possible to create an A-5 skin out of this, or does that require starting from scratch?

Julian, better use photo, then a color profile. Especially from Adlerhangar, wich usually contains many mistakes.

Colors for Fw190A-3 never were 02/71/65, but were already 74/75/76.

Here is a photo:

Thanks Panzerbar, for clarification, a photo determine the color I see difficult and most of the images I see is usually not correct.

You know wed that is interesting and the most correct in the theme of colors.

I will change the RLMs.

Nice skin. Only one thing (except colours how said Panzerbar) - Tatzelwurm on nose was different. Use this one:

The bar that is of the 2nd group is correct, like the photo.

Julian, you have now correct Tatzelwurm. Very good skin.  ;)

P.S. I. and II. gruppe of JG1 used more types of Tatzelwurm. I know about three types. And ofcourse collors was different by the Staffel - green (only on Bf), white, red and yellow.

Mistake my friend. Some I./JG1 Fw-190 had on engine Tatzelwurms. For example yellow 8 (Fw-190A-4, Leuwarden base). For correct information when i'll return from work to home i will check my archive and i will send to you info

...by the way - Tatzelwurms on Fw looks sooo sexy  ;)

It could happen when aircraft was transferred from Grupe to another Gruppe. I have a photo of Fw190F, from schlachtgeschwader, from Eastern front, wearing Tatzelwurm :)

Hello, new skin 4k of the FW-190A-3,7/jg2 Francia 1942.
I figure in the photo but I have a doubt, in the photo appears the 10 white with a bar of the 3rd group ...?  Depending on the number you carry it would have to be the 4th group.
What is your opinion

Hey guys, new to BOX, although I played a little CloD a couple years ago.  Would anyone be interested in making a skin for me?  I think it would be pretty unique...  or if someone has made it already maybe a link to it?  I'm looking for a US captured FW190 painted in US Navy 3-Color scheme.  Here are photos in B&W:

8c5e2847589547515d2d1626d65532f0.jpg

8b9be90d8b122e476342f85a20cbb23c.jpg

and a model that looks like it was based on this paint job:

hudak190ah.jpg

And here is another plane painted in the 3-color scheme for reference:q5zxdyy.jpg1200px-Hellcats_F6F-3%2C_May_1943.jpg

Thanks in advance if anyone takes this on.  Hopefully the images show up correctly, I haven't used this forum before.
