If I remember correctly, something similar happened in the past for the RoF map. My main problem with using mods that add towns, villages and roads is, that they currently don't appear on the flight map, which is causing some navigation issues for me. Yes, the new towns would need to be added to the GUI map and the buildings associated with them would have to be added to the templates. 4 hours ago, =DW=_Drewm3i-VR said: It's still underway I think. Maybe @LukeFF can comment? Hamaha15 is still working on it, but as others have mentioned it takes a lot of time. He has posted quite a few updates here; 1

Maybe @LukeFF can comment? @Hamaha15 and I are working on an improved Rheinland map. In addition to the many added villages etc. by Hamaha (which you can see updates of in the thread Jaegermeister linked above), it may include improved forests (various tree types instead of only deciduous), improved water maps including the inundations in Zeeland as they were from October 1944 onwards, and an improved sea. Here's a WIP screenshot: Note that the actual content is still being decided on and is heavily subject to change. There is no guarantee that any of the changes I mentioned or are visible in the above screenshot will be present in the final result. Also, the form/method in which these changes will be distributed is still uncertain. It might be as a mod that you need to download, or depending on a lot of different factors both inside and outside our control, it may or may not be included in the official game. Lastly, as this is done on a volunteer basis, I don't think either Hamaha or myself can commit to any fixed deadline. It's ready when it's ready, and it's safe to say that that time is a little further away than two weeks 29 minutes ago, Jaegermeister said: Yes, the new towns would need to be added to the GUI map and the buildings associated with them would have to be added to the templates. Changes to the GUI map haven't been discussed between Hamaha and myself. I'm not planning to make any. I'm not sure whether any such changes are necessary either. Yes, it may make navigation harder if they don't appear on the map. On the other hand, it is kinda realistic since period flight maps also didn't include any but the largest towns 16 1
EAF19_Marsh Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 Great stuff, guys. I have almost zero I could contribute - though am between jobs so if you need some research or something drop me a PM - so thanks for your work on all of this.

=FI=Blue2 Posted February 17, 2024 Posted February 17, 2024 Thanks for the generous decision on the Spit IXc, gents. Greatly appreciate it! Looking forward to everything coming with this next update. 2
1PL-Husar-1Esk Posted February 17, 2024 Posted February 17, 2024 (edited) I wonder if devs during working on new Spit do look at Spitfire IX tail damage, it's very easy to knock the plane out of control by just one shell hit to the tail. It's very easy and common to destroy Spit IX by that vulnerable tail unlike other planes. Edited February 17, 2024 by 1PL-Husar-1Esk 2

You can easily destroy its rudder even with .303. I fly p-39 career, so it happens a lot. But it may be the way it should be, idk. Edited February 17, 2024 by Flying_Anchor 1

Well I remember also p47 spining frequently after tail damage, but anyway why other planes which verity of tail plane design have much resilient tails ?? In Spit you are doomed when it happened and happened frequently when you are hit in tail, I see inconsistence vs other planes, without explanation if there is one , please enlight me. @Gavrick @Regingrave Anyway there is good time to check it because devs are working on Spits line also on p47.
