VR-DriftaholiC Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 I love your setup. Only thing missing is a couple of Iris Dynamics HDK's giving you force feedback 1
SCG_Tzigy Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 mmaister u da king i have some stuff from Horst (see below- really great) but your KG project... leaves me speechless before and after pics (my collection...):
Lusekofte Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Mmaister I have parts for a KG 13 grip worth 250€ bought several places in Europe. some authentic and others replica but metal. I am looking for a way to make aluminum stick. Those parts took me a long time to get. I guess I will have it complete some time around 5 years from now, need a little brake from it now when my bomber pit is finished. I want that stick for 110 so I am waiting for that plane in BOS
Elbows Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 So, what you're saying is that my Saitek AV8R clamped to the side of a card table...is not going to cut it? :D (I'm already jotting notes down on paper after going through this thread. I like the simple chair-style...might go with that). Curious, how do extensions work on most sticks --- do you simply adjust your sensitivity/curves in the game profiler and voila?

I remember this panel on e-bay. Simply beautiful! And your wife must be awesome indeed. It took me a while to get permission from mine to place a junghans borduhr in our living-room. She would probably throw me out with a panel like this:)
II./JG53Lutzow_z06z33 Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 http://www.simparts.de/Flightstick-KG-13-A Not as nice as some but the price isnt bad
SAG Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 its not a cockpit yet. as you can see im working on it, custom electronics and panels (very early stage) also, i plan on modding my humble joystick (i dont have the resources to buy expensive hardware) ill be making pedals too!! :D :D
jaydee Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Not yet finished but I am happy with layout. Just gotta tidy it all up.
Double_Tap Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 A work in progress. I have a problem as i think the best joystick for a WW1 sim by far is a MSFFB@ which I use for Rise of Flight. I couldn't fly the Camel without it. Maybe I should say the best for me. In WW2 I prefer separate pedals so I have the Saiteks under the bench. For a HOTAS I have the Warthog throttle with a Cougar Joystick with 7.5 cm extension and IJ's NXT2 mod. So much better than the stock Warthog joystick for me. I find this combo as smooth as silk for WW2 sims, but a little slow for WW! if that makes sense. So I need to have an easily swapable setup with all sticks and throttles constantly on as I fly some sims which forget the assignments if you plug and play. I have plans of using my backup MSFFB2 hooked up to an extended Warthog joystick with a PS2 cable running into the Warthog joystick base thus being programmable with TARGET. My chair is a a very comfortable car seat from the wreckers. Still looking for a nice leather one at the right price. The desk is an el cheepo I took the jigsaw to accommodate the second monitor. When everything is right I will do a custom build.

SYN_Lt_Dan Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Nice crappy seat so i don't get to comfortable In me old Lagg 3 like to stay on the ball 2
Jaegermeister Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 I built this frame out of Metro shelving about 10 years ago and it is still working fine. An old office chair got re-purposed. I have thought about a center mounted stick position, but it makes jumping up and getting out quite the chore. I still need to come up with a better mounting system for the iPad MFD so it is not just propped up in the corner....
ITAF_Ale Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 I have built the cockpits of 109s, looking for the 1: 1 scale more realistic .... https://www.tineye.com/query/c0c04c26f5f8fd62ec8e8b772be86a983fb79f2b
ITAF_Ale Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 I built the cockpit of the 109s, in a more true to life .. at least in size ... 2
=LD=Penshoon Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Nice crappy seat so i don't get to comfortable In me old Lagg 3 like to stay on the ball Looks very close to my setup! Low old crappy chair and the Asus Swift box to put the throttle on and all! 1

SAG Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Ok This is how my DIY input device ended up looking.... Next step, DIY rudder Pedals!! (ill be going for the Baloo Design with custom electronics) 1
-TBC-AeroAce Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 If u asked me If I want to watch Andrian Lima do a porno or look at these setups I would have to think a bit. PURE PORN for a flight simmer, it makes me paranoid about my setup lol

=VIRPIL=Baur Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Oh Baur. That stick..... That beautiful stick...... In January-February, there will be new KG13. And for installation on Cougar and Warthog. 2
vonPilsner Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Just waiting on my Saitek Combat rudder pedals to arrive...
ST_Pirato Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 Small upgrade on mine, added some finish to the Dashboard and added some Buttons aswell as some minor adjustments to the pedals mount. Still a lot more to do,I have some more ideas I want to add....maybe I will go the extra step and add a Display for Gauges and stuff too, though not (yet?) useful for BoS. It seems to never end lol.
SR-F_Winger Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Here is mine. I apologize for the mess around;)
Lusekofte Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Something happened to my earlier pic´s so here is a upgraded 2
Jaegermeister Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 So I just basically completed rebuilding my simpit. I developed a list of things I wanted to accomplish and started by building the cabinet for the computer case. The rest of it sort of came together based on the following list of needs; * A center mounted control stick. * Adjustable seating position. * Computer enclosed within the console cabinet. * No visible wiring. * Analog clock so I know when it is time to go pick up kids, go to work or go to bed before I get yelled at. * Mechanical flight controls like trim, flaps, mixture and prop pitch to eliminate the iPad instrument panel I was using. * Quick access from the right side so that I can exit quickly when the dogs start barking, I smell smoke, or I didn't read the analog clock. * Patterned vaguely after a WWII prop fighter, but with emphasis on ergonomics and practicality. * Ability to remove joystick and let kids use the computer for keyboard & mouse games. It took some experimenting to match the paint color to RLM 66 Black Gray, but I think I got fairly close. The wife wasn't extremely happy over the last couple of weekends, but it's all set up now so..... The only thing I still need is to upgrade the rudder pedals. The CH pedals are spaced very close together and they have no toe brakes either. I will probably get a set of Saitek pedals sometime soon. 1 4
Sokol1 Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 Nice clean look pit. Quick access from the right side so that I can exit quickly when.... I didn't read the analog clock.
No.401_Alpine Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 Very sharp looking setup. Can I ask where you got the clock from?
Jaegermeister Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Thanks for the comments, I am very happy with how it turned out. I am continuing to work on it but the basics are there. The clock is a Braun alarm clock from Bed Bath and Beyond. I cut a frame for it out of 1/4 " plywood and it basically press fit in. I caulked around it and painted the frame. I can unscrew it and remove it to replace the battery. http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/product/braun-reg-alarm-clock/3247856?Keyword=Braun+dlock

Norman Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 (edited) My setup at the moment, with the superb Baur KG13 and Slaw's pedals. I'm still adding to it. It's hard to stop once you get started! Edited July 3, 2015 by Norman 3
