one more throttle from Vitaly “GVL” )      BTW, those ww2 indicators on your table  (probably from P-51) are really cool, but be advised that they emit radiation as contain radioluminous paint, two month ago I checked landing gear indicator from P-40 and it showed 17 microsieverts per hour near to the glass, just in case.

I really, really want that throttle.  It would allow me to consolidate my aging Warthog and CH Quadrant throttles to one device.  Somewhat hard to figure out the Kanttorin web page, though... it looks like he's doing a re-design?

Not sure about Kanttorin, but I know you can contact GVL at gvl224@ukr.net. That's how I've communicated with him for all my purchases.

And yeah, it is a great throttle design! It allows me to fly anything in the game without having to use the keyboard.

Ahh my bad... thought at first glance that was a Kantorrin design, but it's GVL.  Just sent him an email.  Currently using the WH throttle (still a nice bit of kit) along with a CH Quadrant for all the sliders (both trim, pitch, mix, both rads).  Been looking for one unit to replace them both.

Unfortunately I can't post the video but the photo below gives the idea, this is what someone has in their house. That is one serious bit of kit.

Taking off! An American user revealed he has a 737 home simulator flight deck at home

Mine hasn't really evolved much over the years but here it is.

It's a 3d printed throttle I've iterated upon for the past few years, a 3d printed extension with a Virpil dtick and VKB pedals. Ah! and the Rift S is relatively new.

It doesn't really matter that the screen is to a side since I'm always in VR when flying, I do move the keyboard to the center when playing though.

I am awaiting Fulcrum yoke into this.

I had to replace old panels and electronics. I have not more now , but improved. I try to combine GB, DCS choppers and FS 2020 into 1 pit in a small space

At least you’ve tried and kept them similar. My multi-purpose rig is a total cluster...

Here is my SimRig.
Still have some things left to do it's already fully functional.
I can move the whole rig when not playing VR Sims and use the desktop as a normal working or gaming station.

So ...... You manage to control everything in the glasses , or do you have a non-seeen

Screen ???

It sits beside my desk and PC and Screen. I just start SteamVR

Put myself in my pit and launch BOS from my VR dashboard

I work from home and have an office at the bottom of my garden. The office is split between my work desk and gaming VR pit sits in the corner

Killer setup Ross! Looks like you split time between flying and driving too like me. I need a better system for switching between flying mode and driving mode in my simpit. Looks like a removeable wheel is helpful. I don't have that with my old DFGT wheel.

Posted

Nice multi purpose setup @M_Ross! How do you handle rudder to car pedal system? I’m guessing with a load cell setup it is not the Fanatec pedals that gets moved ?

Posted

I've got chpro pedals that I strap down on top of my Fanatecs.

Not bad idea. My seat is mounted down low, so putting the rudder pedals (ch pro as well) too far doesn’t work for me. To get an idea was really why I asked. Im actually using the wheel paddles as wheel brakes in IL-2 (and a few more buttons for, map, landing lights etc) since my Saitek X-45 is woefully under-buttoned to fly in VR ?

Wooow so many nice Cockpits here ?

I started flying this year, so i bought in slowly. Beeing a leftie + sensor shortage limited my options, but i am very happy with it for now :)

Sad day in my sim history

I had to give up my vintage 8 hotas 1942 cessna bobcat throttle. My dcs chopper/fs2000 GB pit have to make sacrifices in a small locker

Havebug, I like your joystick mod (and that small lever mod also). How good is it? Where did you get idea? Any references?

I'm currently building a modular cockpit based around an Ikea Poang chair. It has to be portable so that's the main reason I went for the Poang; it's light and also reasonably cheap to use as a basis to work around and modify. The seat has integrated cabling returning to a project box for easy connection to the PC and amp. There are a couple of Buttkicker Mini LFE's attached to the base of the chair. The HOTAS panels are detachable.

I still have to complete the pieces for the rudder pedals.

Hi, the joystick mod was just an effort to make a smooth action instead of the classic spring mod.

Building that wooden bridge allow to balance the stick using just a rubber band. Highly suggested. It positivelly changed the feeling.

Regarding the left console, I found the small lever was often unused, so I attached an extension to act as RPM control.

I must say that the left console is curently dismanted cause I'm going to build a more compact one.

The rest of rotaries and axis it is just an Arduino Leonardo flashed as HID.

Monstertech finally added a center mount option for control panels, MFDS, etc, so I was finally able to affix my dial and switch control panel from @GVL224 properly, instead of using magnets. ?

Do you have any existing 3d print files? I can find only joystick extension.

I should have the STL files on my PC. Let me check, so I can upload them somewhere (thingiverse or similar).

I'll keep you posted.
