I guess this is not reserved only for Julian's work? (I'll take this elsewhere if it is)

Karhumäki Airways (Later Kar-Air) OH-VKB at ~1954 painting

She was 97th of all DC-3's built. Serial number 1975. Flown to New York, Dismantled for shipping. Shipped to Europe, arrived 28th of August 1937. Fokker rebuilt it and was handed over to ABA. 9.9.1937 with register number SE-BAC, 1948 was refitted and repainted with SAS colors with name of Folke Viking. 10879 hours of flight time at this moment.  Flew some relief flights during 1950 with name of Ansgar II. 1953 was stored to Oslo.

Karhumäki Airways needed bigger planes and bought SE-BAC, eventually it arrived to Finland 19th if January 1954, with respectable 14812h of flight time at this point. Was in active use until winter 1966-67 when Aero OY (Aero bought Karhumäki at 1962) retired all DC-3's from passenger flights. Was used in Alfred Hitchcock "Topaz" movie during 1968 (can be seen for 20 seconds during the movie, KAR-AIR + OH-VKB can be seen). Lated on was used to check ILS systems and Ore survey  until 1979. Flight time 35474 hours.

last flight from Pori to Helsinki-Vantaa airport 1987. Currently stationed in Aviation Museum at Vantaa, Finland.

I'm Just old enough to remember seeing these lumber out of Lambert Air Field in St. Louis Missouri.  I lived about 2 miles from the end of the runway and these would always pass overhead, low and slow.

Very nice guys, but when are I suppose the mainly D Day skins for this aircraft coming to this military sim?

Hello @jollyjack

To get the metallic tone I use the other alpha psd file that comes with the skin template.
-In the skin template I select the Bare metal layer.
-In the alpha template I select the Bare metal layer.
You will see in the channels tab that when you select this layer it is lighter and it is the one that gives the metallic tone.
You can work it to your liking by lightening or darkening it.
You have to do this on both fuselage and engine templates and the wing template.
First of all I work with Photoshop.
I hope I have clarified something for you and that you understand the translation.

:salute:

Tempus, you are correct. I am also more than a bit aware and ASTUTE enough to realize if one of the highly talented skinners around here want to do what I or anyone else suggested - they will no doubt find images to go by FAR more complete than what I offered. That wasn't my purpose but thank you none the less for your attempt at mind melding with me. I hope it was "good for you". I had a cigarette.

Kohtyp - VERY NICE Russian C-47 skin !!

Hi KCHTYP. Great skins, well made, but please keep this listing for civilian c47 skins only? Than means no military stuff ...

DELTA NC28340 crashed due malfunction of it's landing gear. Updated, still not finished:

Them side lines are terrible to do at the wing base. A tip: use warp and arc around +7 and -7 in Photoshop.

And the positioning and small local warp corrections to boot.

Still cannot get the metal shine right, and some details still at large. So not finished yet ...

Day D. C-47 is a military transport aircraft that previously transported military cargo and soldiers for military operations.

After the war it was used as a passenger transport. right? Aeroflot is a civil airline.

What's wrong? Don't you like Aeroflot? Don't fly on Aeroflot, but it's a story, it's a fact.

Hello @Misty06

I will, when you say classic, what do you mean?
