Whats Wrong With My Code Please? - C47's will not follow waypoints once they take off

Salute,

If anyone could spare me a few moments to take a look at the attached mission please. I just can not seem to get the C47s to follow the waypoints when they take off.

If you are able to take a look, the action is at "HomeBase"

I have consulted the guide, I have looked at other missions but do not see what is wrong with my logic.

They also take off straight away and seem to ignore a 30 seconds delay I thought I had applied.

Please ignore the fact that the skin is wrong I know what the issue is there.

Many thanks in advance.

Regards

I will look later when I get home if nobody else gets to it before then.

FYI I have reported C-47 waypoint and formation issues on the beta forum. Aa did others already.

1- A mission is composed of 10 files, even if the mission file is the minimum. And tell us which mod you use to build the mission.

2- The problem is your drop zone. You activate the dropzone after 30 secondes. A command attack area is like a waypoint. You have to link it to the last waypoint. If you activated it by a timer, plane will go to the point which is activated, and ignore the oter waypoint.

3- Do not put the command formation order on the first waypoint. The command formation will be initiated by the first plane. You can have problem as the other plane don't have take off.

4- Do not link WP7 to WP8 which will overide the command attack area, if that one was not activated by a timer.

5- On plane leader properties, add On bingo bomb and link it yo waypoint 8. As soon all the paratrooper has been droped, the plane will go to waypoint 8.

i join the debug mission. The leader follow the waypoint and drop the paratrooper, then go to Waypoint 8

There is a bug with wingmen which don't follow the leader, and ignore the Comand formation. Maybe it's related to the fact that I didn't fly, and that I stayed on the ground.

I can't run more test tonight.

@Habu Many thanks for taking the time to check out what I have done. Its been a while since I plotted any flying stuff, virtually all of my mission building time these days is on tanks and tank scenarios.

Thank you also to @Gambit21 and @JimTMfor response.

Again, your advice is very much appreciated.

In spirit, yes.

@DD_Friar, remember that the tanks behave just like aircraft, just slower, lol. The points about formations and triggering attack areas should be followed in your tank formations too.

So.... I downloaded and had a look at the debug mission kindly provided by @Habu.

I have added extra waypoints closer together and a second flight so that to view the activity you can sit in the first plane of the second flight to watch all 4 in flight A take off.

The planes STILL do not follow the waypoints? Plane 4 in the group also seems to get lost!

I am wondering if this is a bug with the C47? and that only air starts work?

Porked is a bit vague I think. Wonky is more precise.

Maybe awry. Porked is such an unbecoming vulgar term. Whatever, something is amiss.

Thanks chaps for confirming. Glad I do still understand what is SUPPOSED to happen.
