My brother in law owns the house in East Finchley (a suburb of London) that 1st Lieutenant (later Wing Commander) Ian Gleed grew up in and his father, a doctor, also used as a surgery.  Gleed was killed in an engagement with JG77 while serving in a North Africa (flying a clipped wing Spitfire LF.Vb).  Gleed and his wingman were probably shot down by Ernst-Wilhelm Reinert, leading 4.JG77. a Luftwaffe experten who would go on to finish the war with 174 victories. 

 

He (by brother in law) is trying to see if there is interest in putting up a blue plaque to honour the house's heritage.  Blue plaques are erected on buildings here in the UK to commemorate someone famous or notable having lived there at some point.

Hi E69_julian57, would you have spare time and energy to make one of those skins of the 311. (Czechoslovak) squadron RAF?

 1 Question. Where do you put these skins in order to see them in the game ?. 

 

I have  two different Skins folders.

 

I have one in "C /User /Admin /Documents /1C Soft Club/ il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover/ PaintSchemes/ Skins

The other one is in "C /Program Files(x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/IL-2 Sturmovik Cliffs of Dover Blitz/PaintSchemes/Skins

 

Can You help ?.

thank you for all those beautiful skins you have created. Especially for skins of aircraft flown by Czechoslovak pilots. I'm looking forward to new ones you will do as I hope.

 

May I ask you for a download link to Wellington KX-M you did on request from 310_cibule please? There is just a screenshot here but I can't find any download link.

the link under the KX-V screenshot is for a zip file that contains a single skin - just the KX-V one. Is there any other file I have overlooked?

Superb. Have a look at the little round Czechoslovak flag beneath cocpit at the drawing. That one on your skin is upside down : )

E69_julian57 you have produced so many skins. All are excellent additions to CLOD, thank you so much Sir. Has  this skin been done for CLOD? It is just under 1/2 way down the page with the title 'A Little Tribute to 33lima's new CH mod!'
