MODS reccomended ?

I think Prangster published a RoF favorites MOD list somewhere in the RoF section, and it really works well.

 

Now I would like to try some for  BoX 4.005d.  Any recommendations?

There are so many MOD downloads spread out, and some seem very old ....

 

Stupid Q: do mods need to be enabled in the game in SP mode?

Understand that you can't use these unless Mods are on and if you fly online you would need to find a Mods On server.  (there aren't too many).

 

Browse through the MODS section.  there are a lot of interesting mods, none of which alter gameplay.

PS i just installed LizLemon's Torpedo mod. Very recommendable and more fun than just bombing ships.

Now where can you find the Random dynamic battle smoke MOD?

Assuming my memory is still intact, I had a conflict between the battle smoke mod and the torpedo mod in the JSGME. It said an existing file in the torpedo mod would be overwritten by the battle smoke mod and might cause a problem. I deactivated the torpedo mod and am just running battle smoke.

 

Maybe someone else has seen this.

Quite often you get this message when a mod modifies a file that has been modified by another Mod.

I don't use the Battlefield Smoke Mod but do have the Torpedo Mod installed.

Usually it's not a problem.  I have never had any when I see those messages.

Since it's a JSGME enabled mod when you take it out it restores the original file(s).
