J99_Sizzlorr Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 Tons of fun tonight the 2 seater pilots really showed what they are capable of tonight on both sides. Hats off to the recon, artyspotters and bomber pilots. Central even won the first mission by completing all objectives, they would probably won the second mission as well if the player numbers didn't decrase that much at the end. Things got more tactical and less furbally which is a good sign in my opinion. Recons and Schlastas got escorts and it felt more like the good old RoF Vintage Mission days. 4
JGr2/J5_Baeumer Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 (edited) Solid 65 much of the mission today. 92 players popping in, which ties last weeks new record. We will see about trying to reduce the number of server warnings, which are not really serious. As far as we know, the server still as more to give. Screenshot one hour into the mission. Congrats to Central for bombing and reconning their way to victory in two hours. Edited February 10, 2020 by J5_Baeumer
No.23_Triggers Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 (edited) Sadly couldn't make it tonight but I heard server was packed out at 65 capacity, and still remained well-populated until about 45min ago....Outstanding!!!! EDIT: 92?? Is that in one map?! Edited February 10, 2020 by US93_Larner
emely Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 In fact, the situation is even more interesting, not everyone could go to the server right away, there weren’t enough places on it! But my computer is completely dead today. The slide show and frame freeze when viewing in the most interesting place of the battle ... However, I just couldn’t leave) I hope I didn’t shake much on the monitors of my opponents.

SeaW0lf Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 I had to close Il-2 for a sec to reset my TrackIR and I could not get back in the server for a good 15/20 minutes. It was locked with 65 players. Had to grab something to munch, drink some coffee while I waited for a slot. Good to see the numbers that high. I can see swarms of planes when I’m checking the tracks. 1

JGr2/J5_Hotlead Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 Today was absolutely AWESOME! Like others have mentioned, the server was full to capacity...wow. Just wow! I haven't seen that since the glory days of the Vintage Missions in Rise of Flight! I love seeing the community backing Flying Circus like this. ?? If the numbers are anything to go by, I'm optimistic for the future. ? See you all in the skies! ? 3
SYN_Ricky Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 Some good fun last night, bombing factories in a Bristol and then getting in a couple of furballs in a Dolphin, hadn't seen so many planes in one place in FC yet. Spads were everywhere.
HagarTheHorrible Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 When I replay tracks, later on, with icons activated, I’m always amazed by how many aircraft I fail to see when I’m actually playing. 2
JG1_Etzel Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 Thanks a lot again for this amazing entertainment you are giving to us J5 & Sizzlor ... It was great!!! ? 7 hours ago, J5_Baeumer said: As far as we know, the server still as more to give. Confirmed! As far as I recogniced I saw 1 player warping one time, what was probably on his side, beside that everything absolutely smooth and stable, even when catched in furballs of 10 planes (at minimum, probably peaks were even higher) 2

1PL-Lucas-1Esk Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 It was very intensive. Congratulations to the CP Team for achieving a quick victory by destroying our targets. There were situations where perhaps 10 vs 10 planes were in a dogfight and watching that was a great experience. Big S! to Jasta 5 and Sizzlorr for building the missions and hosting them for the community. 1 1 5

JGr2/J5_Baeumer Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 Would be great if someone can film what are becoming epic Sunday flights and battles and post them here. 3
1PL-Lucas-1Esk Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 S! Today's mission was fantastic. Both sides had around 30 pilots all the time. At first, we started with the recons. While A and C went pretty straightforward, we could not complete B due to big aerial activity of CP units. We had to repeat it, concentrating two fighter groups in the area which attack allowed the recon to take pictures and RTB. Mission bug* When the target has been photographed and the recon returns home (e.g. Recon C), if any other Recon C will spawn, then the mission will be automatically completed, even though the 'plane which took the picture' is still in the air. We experienced it twice today. In the meanwhile our 2-seaters started the ground attacks. Thanks to the fixes of the trench targets, all the attacks were successful. The most difficult one was the attack on the lorry traffic, as it was very close to the main CP base at Beugnatre. Many failed to complete the objective, but finally the last truck was stopped. All in all, it was a team effort of different squadrons and individuals. S!
No.23_Triggers Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 Plenty of action tonight - favourite moment was the German and Entente squadrons all massing into big flights and duking it out over Bapaume. I remember flying in amongst 6 or 7 greentails taking pot-shots at them! Felt cheated out of my 10-in-a-night medal on the Parser though....got into one last scrap over Bapaume, knocked out a D7 as he was in a nosedive at ground level.....his shadow started rushing up to meet him, AAAAAANNNNNDDD.........Map Roll! Cheers to all the Squadrons and individuals that helped bring about Entente victory tonight.
emely Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 There were too many players for the Entente, and I had to take Pfalz for the flight, although I was hoping to fly on the Dolphin. Things didn’t go very well, I stumbled upon a 1PL gang twice ? And when I spotted Larner on Se5a among them, I completely lost control of the plane from laughter ;-)) 2
J5_HellCat_ Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 S~ to the Entente victory....... 70 on most of the time ...that was sweet..... 1
J5_Gamecock Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 Yes it was intense! I was only able to be there for a short while but I also found myself in the midst of 1PL flying Dolphins and Camels. It quickly became too hot for me and I had to ditch my flaming Alb in the mud and jump free before I burned to death! S! to Entente for a great fight! 1
J5_Gamecock Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 (edited) A new record I believe... Edited February 17, 2020 by J5_Gamecock
JGr2/J5_Baeumer Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 First time ever, server full at 70 and first time breaking 100 pilots flying in one FC mission. Thanks for posting the picture SeaW0lf. 2 1
NO.20_W_M_Thomson Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 Only thing that bothered me was on the chat the server had mentioned that j2 Trupobaw and I were outdated, not sure about how Trupobaw feels but I find that insulting. 5
No.23_Triggers Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 Fantastic. I'll have to see if I can make a video of some of the action from tonight's recorded tracks.
J2_Oelmann Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 Great fun had been had. S! to everybody.
1PL-Husar-1Esk Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 VonGrube , almost 600 ms ping he is warping like hell . Shooting him down is just pure luck , networking engine has problem with extrapolating his position I think we should have some ping limit because this is too much and there are others waiting in queue. 1
J99_Sizzlorr Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 (edited) Congratulations to the Entente for their hard earned victory during yesterdays event. It seems the trench attacks can be completed successfully. Quote Thanks to the fixes of the trench targets, all the attacks were successful. There were no fixes as of yet in place for that mission. Central only managed to clear 1 out of 3 frontline sectors. The Entente did probably organize themselves better. It took them only 2:11 hours. That is truly amazing. Even if the recons were completed in a fishy way. Quote Mission bug* When the target has been photographed and the recon returns home (e.g. Recon C), if any other Recon C will spawn, then the mission will be automatically completed, even though the 'plane which took the picture' is still in the air. We experienced it twice today. This is no bug, this is a script limitation. There is nothing to do about it as far as I know besides upping the respawn timer of the recon planes. Anyway cheers to entente two seater pilots. You showed central how its done. I had one lag collision and one disconnect probably because there were 70 players online. Which is great to see but then I couldn't get back on the server right away. After that I apperantly flamed a Spad with seized engine diving towards our lines. Sorry for that, but If you want to emergency land then how about trying that on your side of the lines? Had some good fights against lots of Camels and Bristol Fighters. Took the old lady (Albatros D.Va) out for a spin again. Couldn't catch anything with it. The map roll timing was pretty bad, as there was big furball action over Bapaume. All in all good fun and pretty stable for 70 players online and a packed mission. Edited February 17, 2020 by J99_Sizzlorr 4

emely Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 Guys, I can’t understand, are you all once or twice a week released from prison or from a psycho hospital? Why are there only 4 players today? ;-))))) 2
