Yes, at ca. 1h 39m.

Double accounts ?

I wish for more confrontation with those gents, this was really challenging and FUN! After the fights, together with @1PL-Lucas-1Eskwe recalled past encounters from the early RoF years vs @=FB=VikS and @=FB=Vaal and other Flying Barans' guys - similary incredible fights, always.

I was in that D7 which gave you time to disengage and do not FF. You were seriously wounded and had very small chances to survive that crazy aggressive and well handled Spad ?

Glad you make it save after that FF !

Thanks for saving me there! ? Much appreciated! ? The FF incident was vexing, but it all worked out in the end! ??

What kind of maniac would even consider flying a SPAD in that fashion? And from below? Absolute heresy. The 3PG better have a word with him.

Check the canvas in your 3PG SPADS! ?

But, seriously, that was really amazing. I wish I would record more. Was a great pleasure watching boom and zoom attack of two S13 which was performed in a great coordination. And those long range bursts from below, ouch!

S!

After flying in JG1's Flanders in Flames online war, I switched to Flying Circus for a livestream. I took a SPAD to even the sides. Had been some time since I'd flown in one of those! @I./JG1_Pfeil joined me shortly after I got on and we had a really good sortie together! We each bagged one kill and - thanks to Pfeil's excellent situational awareness - we managed to survive a situation that very nearly could have lead to our demise.

One of the reasons I love flying in JG1; good times with awesome wingmen. ?

As an added bonus, running chat commentary for the stream was provided by Emperor @US213_Biddle

This afternoon, I had a great time on the Flugpark server winging up with @J133-BryMack and @J133-G_von_Floppa! We flew high, we flew low, we had triumphant moments, we nearly died. All in all, a pretty average day on the Flugpark server! ?

Thanks for letting me tag along guys! Was a hoot! ?

Good afternoon guys!

For those who aren't aware, Jasta 5's Spring Offensive is now live! Every Saturday until May 1, from 1600 GMT to 2000 GMT, scores of pilots take to the skies for historical air combat with a moving front line. Unfortunately, my next few Saturdays are probably going to be full, so this is likely my only chance to participate. But WOW...am I glad I did! Iffy DMs notwithstanding, J5 put together an awesome campaign!

I ended up flying SPADs in defense of the Southern sector, flying with 1PL, Tailmange, and CubanCoveRunner. We had some awesome dogfights, adrenaline-pumping ground attack stuff, and I ended up getting stuck in a fence on landing, repaired and managed to unstick myself by running the engine at full and wriggling my way out. ? All in all, lots of fun and stuff you don't see everyday!

Nice work.

Re the collision wing damage. That appears to be handled completely differently to gunfire wing damage by the dm. We've had guys collide, with the wing knocked askew and struts damaged, but could actually pull maneuvers! Yet a wing with a couple of bullet holes just breaks off with a slight load.

Our conclusion is its 2 separate criteria.

Collisions with fences are less well documented ;)

Had a blast on Flugpark today! Despite having some technical issues with our Discord channel in the middle, our squad was able to all connect on the Flugpark Discord. (Shout out to Jasta 5 for providing the Discord server and the Flugpark multiplayer server too! ?)

Today, JG1 fielded 6 pilots. We had action low early on where we nearly lost JG1_Loopy. However, Loopy cheated the reaper and survived an attack by two bandits until we could arrive. ? The next mission, we hit some ground targets and had a cat and mouse game with three high Bristols. All in all, it was great to fly with my wingmen again! ?

This afternoon, JG1 ran the dry run for our upcoming Flanders in Flames campaign. Red Team will be starting flying Allied, so I got the chance to fly Se5a for a change! She isn't the easiest bird to fly, but when flown with a cracking team of wingmen, she can be quite effective! ?

Flanders in Flames will be going live starting next Saturday, October 23. If you're interested to join, you can register on our forums (and find more tournament information) at the links below.

Last night I saw a few folks on Flugpark, so I hopped on to help seed the server. Since the Allies were outnumbered, I temporarily defected and took an Se5a for King and Country. I didn't have a lot of time to fly, but it was still quite fun! I ended up having one fight where @US103_Parsons and I had some awesome no-comms teamwork to attack a marauding D.VII.

10/10 would do again! ?

Had some time to get on the Flugpark server in Flying Circus this afternoon and am so glad I could make it! The skies were full and I had some of the best dogfights I've had in a while. Really felt like a warzone! ?
I had the pleasure of flying with @JG1_Rotermann and later also @JG1_loopy and JG1_Etzel. It was an absolute blast winging with you guys; here's to the next time! ?

That flight of three Bristols with escorts (Camel and SE5a) was a few of us SYN guys. Good scrap with a lot of planes around and quite a few other friendlies helping out. I was in the backseat of the lead Bristol, took a few pot shots at several enemies but nothing conclusive. My pilot (SYN_Vander) was badly wounded and we barely made it home. Very atmospheric mission and great dogfight.

That was a very atmospheric dogfight indeed! Felt like stuff straight out of the history books. You SYN gents handled yourselves quite well! I got some shots into you guys but nothing conclusive either, I believe. Salute!

We were credited with one air kill, but we have no idea who it was since we had fired at so many enemies during that mission! We were carrying bombs all the time as the plan was to take out a target that another group would photograph, but they never made it home.

It looks awesome flying between those cloud layers doesn’t it!?!

Salute gents! Have a bit of a double feature here today. Yesterday I ended up taking an Se5a up on Flugpark after JG1's Flanders in Flames campaign. Had some fun action and some real cat and mouse moments against very dedicated opponents.

Also, today, I ended up catching the tail end of the Sunday afternoon/evening action on Flugpark and had the pleasure of flying Pfalz D.IIIas with JG1_Loopy, JG1_Bussard, and JG1_Chewie. We ended up getting into some high altitude scraps with several recon packages. Then, I ended up staying a little later to put the Pfalz D.XII through her paces in the dogfight area of the map after it rolled.

Had a blast in Flying Circus this weekend! Thank you to my fantastic wingmen, to JG1 for putting on a phenomenal dead-is-dead campaign (sorry, no livestream of this for tactical reasons), and to J5 for maintaining the Flugpark server. I will see you all over the front again soon! ?

Last Sunday, JG1_Rotermann, JG1_Jaus and I ran several sorties on Flugpark. Had some really awesome scraps involving Bristols, DH.4s, Se5as, and Camels. Perfect way to start the new year, if you ask me! ?

(Note: Display for the video seems to be skewed slightly to the left. This seems to have happened when I set up the new webcam I got for Christmas. ? Should be all fixed for the future! ?)

Salute guys! Yesterday, I took to the skies solo in my trusty Pfalz D.XII and was later joined by JG1_Jaus. We conducted a high-altitude attack on an Allied airfield and I got to see first-hand the accuracy Jaus has honed. Very impressive!

And today, I joined a large JG1 flight for some Big Wing operations over the front. In attendance were JG1_Klaiber, JG1_Bussard, JG1_Etzel, JG1_RustPuppet, JG1_Chewie, JG1_Maushake, JG1_Jaus, and of course, myself. We had a really awesome scrap with a Bristol and some Camels early-on in the mission which made for some spectacular screenshot moments. Then, we got involved in several other dogfights in mid-to-high altitude faced with some very stout opponents. Salute to all involved! It was another great day on the Flugpark.

Had fun flying last night! It was a small showing at Flugpark, but J5_Manfreddy showed up to make life very interesting during the latter half. We had quite a few dogfights and through them, I've come away with these conclusions...
  1. His accuracy and bullet placement is phenomenal (ouch!)
  2. Read point #1 ?
In all seriousness though, anytime I end up squaring off against him, I know it won't be an easy fight. Easily one of the best dogfighters active in FC. Salute! ?

Yesterday's turnout on Flugpark was excellent, as always. After some pulse-pounding action before the map flipped, JG1 launched several high recon missions. While the temperature at 3,000 meters may be cold, the skies proved to be quite hot, as we faced opposition from opposing SPAD and Camel squadrons, making for some intense dogfights!
Thanks to all who continue to make Sunday afternoons an awesome WW1 flight sim experience! It's a pleasure to share the skies with such fine squadrons and lone-wolfers.

Yesterday's action was as fierce as ever, with swirling dogfights taking place on both sides of the lines. JG1 started off the day with my flight intercepting a large recon formation crossing into our lines while JG1_Maushake and JG1_Jaus intercepted a Jasta 2 recon under attack and attempted to get him home safely.

When the map rolled, JG1 launched a recon flight to the North. Things started quietly, but we knew it wouldn't stay that way for long. Sure enough, bandits appeared coming from every direction, keeping both my flight and close escort flight extremely busy! ? Despite the constant stream of bandits, the recon continued with his mission and was able to escape while we held the enemy off.

Regrettably (though somewhat humorously) after all that work, when our recon pilot landed his damaged plane back at the base, we got no confirmation message. I'm not sure if the photo plates had been broken in combat or if he missed doing the final pass over the target, but there it is. ?
As always, a truly enjoyable time flying with everyone! See you next Sunday! ?

Last Sunday was a blast! JG1 was joined by a pair of American eagles as we took to the skies in Pfalz D.XIIs. No matter where we were - high, low; our side, enemy side - there were Entente crates to be found. It's awesome to see the server so full!

Thanks to US103_Talbot and US103_Biddle for joining us on Sunday! And as always, a big thank you to my great squadmates in JG1. It was a pleasure flying with you all! ?

Yesterday I and a couple squadmates took to the skies in Flugpark. Even though the numbers were slightly down, the server never felt empty and the skies were always hot. It says something about the community when roughly 40 pilots online (at least when I was flying) is a "down" day for Sunday numbers. Compared to when we considered 30 pilots on Wargrounds to be peak numbers a few years back, this is really cool to see! ?

We intercepted a high recon, fenced with massed Entente formations over the front lines, witnessed an impressive four ship level bombing flight, and finished things up with a low level scrap with a strike package coming back from bombing targets deep in our lines. Certainly no lack of action wherever we turned! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1424695078

At the end, I also got into a great discussion with a viewer about why I'd recommend buying into Flying Circus in 2022. Bugs and all, it's still a great game and I'd highly recommend taking the plunge if you haven't already! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1425331613

I'll be offline the next Sunday as I'll be on vacation in Florida. However, I look forward to returning next Sunday! ?

Here's the livestream from last Sunday's action on Flugpark. I started flying solo but was soon joined by JG1_Jaus, JG1_Maushake, and even had @J99_Sizzlorr (The Servermeister himself! Be on best behavior! ??) join our flight as a wingman for while.

The fights were sheer exhilaration, reminding me of why WW1 dogfighting has such a special place in my heart.

Last Sunday's action on Flugpark was as intense as ever! Nonetheless, it was a different change of pace for me as I was forced to bail twice by my own hamfisted maneuvering. ?? While I didn't get any aerial victories this time, it was still a great time to fly, help other fellow German eagles get kills, and chat with my viewers about Flight Circus & flight tactics: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1472417427

Last Sunday saw me trying a plane I almost never fly...the Fokker Dr 1! ? Had some very interesting engagements with our three winged Entente counterparts and then went on a tense bomber escort mission over enemy lines.

Frankly, I was surprise about how much I did *not* hate the Dr 1. ? While it is as slow as an inebriated turtle, it is robust and can turn quite well. Perhaps I shall have to try it again sometime!

Had a great time flying in Flugpark again today! It’s been a while since I’ve flown on Sunday due to traveling, but it was great to get back in the saddle. Saw some very cool Allied formations at work all through the day, matched by some equally-impressive German flocks. All in all, another action-packed day in the skies! ?

Yesterday we got into some epic scraps on Flugpark. Brawls with large Entente formations of Camels were followed by a large counterstrike into Allied lines, which then reached a crescendo with a low level attack over our lines as the sun set. Truly beautiful scenery and pulse-pounding fights!

Had a very interesting time flying on Flugpark yesterday. As Allies were outnumbered, I switched to the tea-and-biscuit side of life and flew in the Se5a (along with special guest SIA_Stahl; thanks for tagging along! ?). Encountered constant pushes from German offensives and Gothas filled the skies. A very exciting time! Then, when the map switched, we took Fokker Dr 1s… a very different experience I can assure you! ?

Flugpark last Sunday was a blast! Weather looked particularly epic, with stunning contrast between sunset and localized rainshowers. That combined with the turbulence made for some interesting flying, but hey, variety is the spice of life, right?

Also, I'd like to take a moment to brag on my squadmate JG1_Jaus. After almost an hour aloft for the recon, Jaus was on his way home with the photos. Suddenly, with no explanation or warning, his engine broke. Nonetheless, he managed to navigate in the pouring rain back to Beugnatre, culminating in these awesome final few minutes:

Had to love his response when JG1_Rotermann teased him about making a perfect landing under pressure: "Coming right up!" ?

Had a lot of fun yesterday on Flugpark! At one point, there were roving formations of 10 Entente aircraft patrolling over our lines. Very impressive to behold! Dropping in on them always proved a challenge, as whenever you'd single out one, another one or two would be on your tail. We also encountered some single scouts, some bandits attacking our airfield, and...an enemy observation balloon, untethered, floating over our lines getting shot at by flak. ? Obviously, some fellow Hun's attack on the northern balloon's winch truck went quite well. ?

Switched things up and flew the N.28 for a change last Sunday. Quirky as she may be, I do have a soft spot for this lovable little crate! ? It was a fun change of pace to fly with the Entente pilots I so often square off against. Salute gents! ? I'll see you all from the Hun side again next week.
