Hi Julian,

If you have time and will, would you please so kind and make me a  special Tiger I skin please?

Its a Tiger I  yellow S45, sPzAbt 101 with a 3 colored camo scheme.

The decals are from my kit. I have scanned them.

Thanks a lot buddy! Take your time if you accept to make me this skin

S!

Hello tankers,

who ever needs a few suggestions for tank skins

https://pinturas-sgm-tanques.tumblr.com/archive

Here are my suggestions since over 50 years - the first is the tank-art from  the BANDAI 1/24 King Tiger Box

s-l1600.thumb.jpg.9746df7b0d8187955d70592df8dac587.jpg

the next is very old - from the beginning of the www - I found it on a japanese Side = it shows a plan from the german 1943 tank program and is also described in this way. Defective Tiger I chassis should be equipped with a casemate body and the long 88 mm cannon - the name was "super heavy self-propelled gun - SSSFL". I myself suspect that the plans for the construction of the casemate were later used for the "storm tiger"

The Panzer III (Tiger units) have no side protection in winter 1942-1943

This was interesting so I tried to find out more.

The Germans started using them in late 1942 as a field conversion due to losses from ATR's in Stalingrad.

Spielburger (in Spielburger & Feist “Armor on the Eastern Front”) states that side skirts were to combat Soviet AT rifles. He was there so he should know and he has pictures to illustrate this although I do not have this book to confirm. The Kummersdorf testing results stated in Feb. 1943 that ATR and 76mm HE rounds (not HEAT) were tested against schurzen with positive results. After the tests, it was ordered that all Pz III and Pz IV would be fitted with the plating at the factory and in service units would be field upgraded.

Nice skin and also some history.

Hi all, has anyone attempted to remove the turret smoke dischargers from the Tiger I by blacking out areas of the alpha layer?  I've made some progress but the individual pieces of the smoke launchers are all over the place on the template and it's been difficult tracking them down.  By the time of Kursk, a majority of Tigers had already removed their smoke dischargers as they were susceptible to being set off by small arms fire.  It would be helpful if we could have some alpha layers for the community that remove things like smoke launchers and feifel filters so that we can recreate individual Tigers more accurately.
