unfortunately all the above are about multi[player while i am looking for single mission not online stuff .i want to take off and land and create my own missions like in IL2 and in the old days CFS2 but i cant find a thing on the subject . there is a manual link here dating to 2015 by Bearcat but its not available . i have watched the YOUTUBE videos but hey are all multiplayer and not one shows a take off .

Prangster manual referenced above is excellent and the JimTM one even has a page about how to take off, follow a path and land.

The editor is more difficult than the il2 46 one but worth the effort

Did you look over the manuals? pg. 33 of @JimTM's mission editor manual talks about how to create a single player mission.

 

 

 

There's not really much difference (when starting out in the mission editor) from making a single player or multiplayer mission.

 

Also, if you're looking for a good landing practice mission, you can try this one:

In addition to the manual topic mentioned by Sketch above, Bob Vanderstok has some single-player mission-building tutorials for Rise of Flight (which uses an earlier version of the current IL-2 Sturmovik editor).

i found this yesterday  by Supanova which has caught my attention and following  it very carefully over the next few days ,little at a time no rush

thank you for the above recommendations and comments , will definitely go over them over a period of time . I started off with combat flight simulator 2 editor in 1999 which was very good  and still is IMO which was the first to introduce triggers , events , areas of influence etc . This website and forum is very much alive and thats great .
