Over the years I made quite a bit of COOPs, so why not share my favourites?

Burning Steppe

Description:
Pilots, Tankers, the russian tanks are rolling!  Engage in a massive dynamic battle for Rubezhny, maintain air superiority, build defenses by supplying the front lines and defeat the enemy!

Since this mission is set up as a dogfight one, it allows respawn, plane/tank selection and join in progress as seen in regular dogfight server. Only the red team is AI controlled. Burning Steppe is also designed to be hosted from the Multiplayer Menu in IL2 from regular Personal Computers, making DServer optional.

BoS, BoM German Planeset plus HS 129 B-2, MC.202, Fw 190 A-3, JU 52

Fight for Velikiye Luki PVE

Description:
Tanks are preparing to assault the city of Velikyie Luki. Fly and complete 6 different objectives from ground attack to intercept mission types with your friends!

Since this mission is set up as a dogfight one, it allows respawn, plane selection and join in progress as seen in regular dogfight server. Only the blue team is AI controlled. Fight for Velikyie Luki is also designed to be hosted from the Multiplayer Menu in IL2 from regular Personal Computers, making DServer optional.

Description:

Fight of Kuban Day 7 "Sacrifice to Erisvorsh"
Description:
Weather: Covered, Raining 
IL2s: Defend our AT troops at 0825 as long as you can. The AT guys are a sacrifice, concetrate on the attacking tanks, the more you get, the less survive, the better. 
LaGGs: Patrol the designated patrol area for hostile planes.

I flew these missions with Leon and others a few months ago, they are really nice. Delivery Boy was the most fun I had with the Ju52, Thanks, Leon! I hope to have time to fly with you again.

It sure was! Ill try to host more soon, but I dont really like serving canned missions. So I´ll see what to do.

I´m very happy to announce the release of a new coop mission: Fight for Velikyie Luki PVE 

This special coop allows for plane respawn. You can find the mission in the header, have a great time!

The featured mission Fight for Velikiye Luki PVE  has just gotten a huge quality of live upgrade inspired by comments of players and @ACG_Sketch. With more playable planes, including a Spotter U-2VS, Spanish language translation and improved map icons the mission is now better than ever! Also huge thanks to @[N.O.G.F]coosjoaquin and @[N.O.G.F]ResonantCard1 for making the Spanish translation!

I just noticed this server in the "dogfight" category under multiplayer.  Is there a reason why it's listed there, instead of under the cooperative category?

 

I'm hoping it's still up over the next few days, as I didn't get a chance to play it tonight, but I did enter it real quick just to check it out, and it looked fun!  I've always been disappointed at the fact that there's never any servers available under cooperative, so I was definitely happy to see this up.

The game lists all multiplayer missions with respawns, where you can grab a plane mid missions, in the Dogfight category.

The server should be up for a while, its hosted by my friend Dorf and will run until his server license expires.

 

If you are interested, I´m working on a new coop called Burning Steppe. Its a randomized tank battle where you can either help it by destroying tanks directly from land and air, or supply the local defenders.

 

I wish you much fun with the coop!

I'd definitely be interested in Burning Steppe!

 

BTW, the last few times I tried to log into the server "Co-op Fight for Velikiye Luki Leon Babe Edition" (in the past 4-5 days), I click on "join server" and after about 10 seconds it send me right back to the first multiplayer screen where I select between Cooperative and Dogfight.  I have a friend who plays too, and he has reported the same problem.

 

Are you aware of this issue?

I was looking forward to flying the Ju-52 and "Delivery Boy" looked just like what I wanted to familiarize myself with this plane.

I downloaded and installed "Delivery Boy" as per instructions, (all 9 files in data > Multiplayer > Cooperative) and the mission shows in the loading screen.  I also have the Ju-52.

After highlighting the mission (only one in the list) and clicking continue, I get the "second hand" wheel turning but nothing happens.  I cannot click any interface item and have to use Task Manager to exit the game.

Other cooperative missions load and play.

Am I making an error somewhere?

Hey man, sounds like you did everything right, thanks for letting me know!
Thing is, some updates of IL2 break missions which then need to be changed to work with the new update.

Looks like I missed the last of those updates, so the mission didn´t work, sorry for the inconvenience.

All the missions in the thread are updated now, just download the mission again and replace the old one with it. 🏗️

Rudo, you will need to have the map and planes to fly offline.  If you joined an online server that was hosting it you could see and fly the map and see but not fly the planes.  And you could only fly planes from Battle of Stalingrad.

I HIGHLY recommend that you take advantage of the next sale and get Kuban and Moscow not only for the maps but also for the planes.  Even the 'Standard' versions are very worthwhile but if you can swing it get the 'Premium' versions.  On sale it's a super bargain.

Thanks for this awesome Velikiye mission Leon.

 

I have an issue tho... I have flown the mission a couple of times with a friend of mine (2 players). We have held the CAP over Velikiye, we have killed the transports and we have also escorted the bombers... We are experiencing the mission ending suddenly after killing the transports or after the bombers drop their load while we are still fight the 190s. Also, the mission will end suddenly while we are still defending Velikiye from the 109s attack and the city is still at 75% or as low as 50%...  Invariably, the mission ends with "secondary objective completed, mission failed"

What are we doing wrong?  I would like the option to continue fighting or grabbing another plane to fulfill the next mission.

 

The mission also ends when one of us die

Thats odd, I remember tieing the mission end to the objectives, the mission should end if all objectives are completed/lost or the 2 hour time limit is up.

I´ll look into this and come back to you!

So I looked through the mission ending logic.

Its set up to count the completed objectives and end the mission when all 6 are complete.

The only thing I could think of is to wack the mission with the IL-2 mission resaver, hope it helps!

Ok...
When I host the mission from my own game, everything works correct. I am able to continue the mission after each objective is completed. Not when I host the mission in my DServer... I am a complete nub when it comes to using DServer... Any idea why?

 

*** Nevermind...  Found my issue... Team points per round was 0...  doh!

Wow, I´d never have guessed the Team Points!

I don´t think its possible to turn them off mission side tho, so just set them really high.

I also am very happy to announce a new respawn coop, which is going to be finished this or next week!

Burning Steppe allows you to fly german BoS and BoM aircraft against a massed russian tank attack!

Call in AI Stuka strikes! Build defensive fortifications! Drive a PzIII! And thin out the enemy attackers with the help of a special scoring system!

 

Edit: Burning Steppe will release on 9.3.20! I had to push back the release because all those dynamics are difficult to get right.

This is awesome, but when I hit finish mission say if I die, it ends the mission and restarts it. how do I get it to have unlimited lives?

I think you might have a similar issue as TheR4ptOr a few posts above, give setting "Team points" or "Points per round" to 9999 a shot.

Its a server setup issue, I say you are just using settings which work well with the mission!

I fiddled so much with server settings I dont even know the defaults anymore...

But I´m always happy to help to solve any troubles with my missions! 🍺

Pilots, Tankers, I´m happy to announce the release of my first combined arms mission, Burning Steppe!

Defend the city, build defenses, destroy the enemy airforce and win the battle in this coop mission with respawns!

I have just updated the Fight for Velikiye Luki PVE coop mission to have Repair Rearm Refuel, had some bugfixes and a extra little bit of randomisation!

Thx for test-flying "Burning Steppe" - that was well worth the time! Lot's of diverting elements building up a fine dynamical scenario. Nice tricks to add some flesh for low numbers of human pilots. There are some details well worth to copy for the top dogs in town.

Hello! I am relatively new to the game so I apologize if my searches didn't bring up the right topics and these are "noob" questions.  First, thank you for making these missions. I have been enjoying Burning Steppe with a couple friends and hope to try Fight for Velikiye Luki PVE soon!  Burning Steppe has brought up a couple questions though that I can't seem to figure out.

 

1. I was able to get Stuka's to spawn but as far as I have seen, all they do is fly over the city for a while and then return. I see the automated radio command given to attack at will but I haven't ever seen them actually do it. Is there a way that I can command them to do so?  I've tried clicking the various squad leader commands but I don't think they listen to those.

 

2. I am guessing I need the Ju52 to drop supplies? No other aircraft I have seems to have a load out of "supplies". Or is this some sort of flare firing operation as well?

 

3. Is there a way to RRR without "Ending Mission"? I've searched in the past and it seems to be a consistent topic but no sign of implementation so my assumption is that somehow landing there and "Ending Mission" is more beneficial to the team than crashing or bailing out.

 

I think that is it. We always "win" with points but can't seem to stop the taking of the city. Hopefully if we can get the Stuka's to help and get better at tank busting ourselves, we can succeed soon!  Thank you again. :)

1. Thats odd, when you spawn the stukas, they should fly towards the city and attack ground targets on their own. They always did that so far in test and regular play. I can take a look at it, maybe the commands changed.

2. Correct! You pick a JU52 and drop either cargo containers or paratroopers over the smoke signals to build. The map markers change if supplies are needed in real time!

3. There is a RRR airfield, you land on it, stop both plane and engine anywhere on the airfield and operate the Refuel/Rearm buttons. Repair is automatic.

Hey Leon,

 

I just ran the mission again by myself and still didn't see the Stukas do any sort of attacking. They just fly over and do circles for a bit. Thank you for answering all my other questions as well! Figured out the RRR process now for hopefully quicker return to combat. 😎

 

I am not sure what all is needed in making these but do sure appreciate all of you who do and share what you have made with us! :) I especially like these re-spawn co-ops as I am a bit accident prone still...

Hello, first just wanted to say I continue to enjoy the co-op re-spawn missions with some family and friends (although still no luck with the Skukas attacking? Not sure why that is.).  We did run into the issue though the other day where in Burning Steppe at least (I haven't tried with any others yet) we could only have a max of 3 people in aircraft?  Is this a setting I can change? I didn't see anything obvious in the host menu.
