If you want realism let the people do what they want and hide from log who killed who. Or in a real combat do you have this information?

 

 

 

24 Slots the complete map and 2000 ground targets

A middle term is all we want. Stop trying to make all in suggestions and talk about what is fair to everyone.
Kathon have tools to make a lot of great stuffs. TAW is in development in my point of view so try different configurations is not a bad move.

VoW really had excellent pilots! When your engine stops people just let you go back to the lines and wait the pilot bail. No need chute killing, no need complain posts on forums...

 

But IL-2 have new pilots and this guys just want to prove your superiority! I understand, when i started i did stupid things. Well, i was 16 years old.

Guys, we introduced pilots limitation on the map because pilots were valuable as well (aircraft is useless without pilot). Pilots are lost if got captured or killed by AA or other airplane. 

 

We will consider forbidding chute killing. I hope there will be easy way to detect such situations in log files because I will not be able to analyze manually reports from you that someone did chute kill. I hope you understand it.

 

Can the server set skins for players? If so you could set the skin of known chute killers to a nice color like pink. I think it would lead to some very interesting situations for the player.

also - a quick note to perhaps end (or add fuel to) the "is it ok to kill a parachute?" gladiatory mayhem:

 

if you bail out near enemy AAA - they will very eagerly try to kill you before you land

 

war crime? yes, most quite indeed sir....

most often they don't hit you though, maybe it's just scare tactics, though I'm reluctant to try and find out

I just want to say thanks to a great team of developers for il-2, the server host and developers, and the community; everyone is super helpful and gracious with terrible players making embarrassing mistakes. I look forward to the next campaign.

On the average how long does it take to design/rebuild/implement a new campaign? Also does it get easier/quicker with each time?
