DD today?

Hmm, perhaps Jason could use this week's DD to provide an update on the Pacific dilemma as he stated he would after the BoN announcement.

My guess is there will be a Q&A soon.

Some statement regarding possible enhancements of the Rhineland map would be appreciated. It's the first time since the beginning of the 3rd il-2 installment that I'm really disappointed.

Jason could give us a hint, if we can expect something on this topic or if we have to take it, at it is for the time being.

A generic and deserted map with fields even on small river islands, ridiculous shorelines and not a single evergreen tree.

Sorry to express my disappointment here. But it's way beneath the level of quality we're used to in this series.

Didn't Jason and Han both already give hints and statements about it when they said the map will get further attention?

They did and I'm confident, that they will deliver in some way. While I understand the permanent struggle between goals VS resources, the question remains, how far will the further attention go.

I am not known for being utterly critical towards GB and the awesome work the devs are doing, but this map remains a dramatic weak point of the series.

In the thread I linked below, is a interesting discussion going on pointing out, what needs to be done.

By all the love for the stuff they're doing, if something is just not right, constructive criticism is an important tool to communicate things.

What is really sad is I sent that picture to my dad a few days ago and he thought it was a real incident. He was born in 1965 and is a Leslie Nielson fan. I don't know how the hell he didn't get it.

Your dad is younger than me. I too am a huge Leslie Nielsen fan. When you watch him in comedies, you completely forget what a great serious actor he was. He played a lot of very vicious characters throughout his career.

Part-time airline mechanic, full-time daredevil Rex Kramer (Robert Starr) in Kentucky fried movie. Got some good laughs from that back then.

Christ, I hope we get a DD today or tomorrow. I suspect I am going to need the distraction.

I hope we don't get one... then I can relax, have a drink and watch all the kinder wind themselves up into an uncontrollable mass of self inflicted F5 oblivion.  :coffee: :help:

Realistically I would hope for an update on the Panther, Hurricane, and Yaks.

Not out of the realm of possibility: some word on performance or AI improvements

Not likely but would love to hear it: FC2, or WWI collector planes (two seaters)

I'd settle for a WW1 scripted campaign at this point. Something for us single players to enjoy in FC. QMB is a joke.

I have consulted both the stars and a chicken's entrails about the possibility of a DD this week.

Imagine being alive in 2019 and not being able to read the future in chicken droppings. Sad.

After I wrote it last time, there was Normandy announcement, collector planes pre-order and 4.002 update on top of that. Maybe it was just a perfect timing, or it's some kind of wololo magic, who knows...?
