Ok I finally got to worked!!

Here it is:

Well now what do I do with this skin!:

Well this the last one, yet the funniest one ever!

Well I've return and a serious surprise for the BOO!

Updating will take less then seconds!

Beholden!!

I've return with an update that will rival my cheesiness and mistake combined.  This wouldn't been possible without that BOO, countless of days I'd hone and learn with countless hours of trials and errors.

Finally I've done it right, now I don't need to modified user made skin anymore.  Also this is my final thank you (I swear it is!), for all the sacrificed patience I'd put you through.  I'll make it up with this series of images of my personal plane and the plane that (finally) has you profile on it (still wish to upload that skin of the Ju-52 personally), but all I can do now is to show what I finally cook up with the lessons you taught me (plus other forums and youtube tutorials) to show you:    "I fully Appreciated your patience, your hospitality, and tough love."

Boos_Hospital_and_Jap_109.png

That 109 with the Japanese meatball is my personal plane, the one with the twin is the Boo's Flying Hospital.

It_speak_for_itself.png

Better_than_just_a_Tuesday.png

This one you'll get a kick out it!:

Boos_member_profile_and_Jap_109.png

I forgot this one, its way funnier than the Tuesdays and makes it feel like a real flying Hospital!!:

You know, when I first saw this image, for a split second I thought it was an SM.79   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savoia-Marchetti_SM.79

The floatplane is likely a flight of fancy based on a Cant.

That would be the CANT.506 (and the heavy variant, the CANT.509). When looking at the Wikipedia page, the main image of the CANT.506 has a very distinctive set of markings.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CANT_Z.506   Any ideas what those colours should be?

No wire frame but lots of lovely corrugations ;-) The Ju52 is lovely using 5kuka's 4K and SPECIFICALLY his template with his normal map.

I have a layer for the 4K dedicated to ID-ing all those actuators on the wings and elevators if you want it.

Yes, that's the template I have. I'll begin with a very simple civilian ship, I don't need messing with the actuators, but thank you, BOO, maybe I'll ask you later. And what's the use of the normal map, I never touched it, it's kind of a relief map, isn't it? Has it any use for the skinner?  Thanks in advance for your patience, I'm sure this questions are sufficiently explained in this forum.

The normal map brings out the lumps and bumps as you say. You can alter it yourself but TBH, 5Kuka, RafiGer, ICDP, Zargos etc all have created great versions already. For the skinner its a little less passive then you might think though. The Alpha does respond to the Normal map. So adding a little more gloss/shine/reflection in areas where there is some stressed metal can turn a relativity flat looking skin into something with a bit more life.  But its a balance.

Bruno Schnapps?  Ich habe sehr gelacht!

Nice sense of humor! You have to make a mission about Schnapps fate and his band members......

And dont let Max Raabe see the cover of the scale kit ;)

And, most important, I like your skin!

You guys are having way too much fun doing this. Knock it off!

Really, though....nice skins. I don't have the JU-52. But a question, anyway. Can it carry bombs? It was used as a bomber in Spain, so I'm wondering. Could make a good  tri-motored Italian bomber stand in. Could make for some fun missions with the Macchi escorting Italian bombers.

It can only drop supply canisters (via parachute) or drop paratroops. It can also unload cargo crates on the ground. There are no bombs in the BoX version of the Ju 52/3m g4e.

"Could find my way to Mariana
        On a wave of mutilation"

Yes, my friends, our Wave of Mutilation has arrived in the deepest point of the oceans, the Marianas Trench at a depth of 36,000 feet. They found a plastic bag. But investigation took a new twist when detectives Benson and Tutuola, from Special Plastics Unit, declared that the thing was not a bag but a chewing gum wrap, possibly from mid-fifties. It took 60 years to sink to the bottom of the matter. Main suspect is Samson Kalai-Carganico, a papuan-german pilot who used to fly that route aboard his Junkers. Preposterous way to introduce a skin? Yes, I know.

Historical civilian skin, well documented in some sites:

Tante Ju could be a b**ch in the wrong hands... but OK, I agree in the virtual skies the Ju-52 is a good-vibe plane.

52s became for lovers not fighters??? :-/

Its kinda the VW Beetle of the sky (but without the propensity to drown it passengers if you taxi through a ford - we had two in 70s - one went most of time the other some of the time. The dad always parked uphill just in case -  both had paddling pools in the rear!!)

Mythical Beetle of hippy and Ted Bundy fame, only surpassed, if you will allow me to say so, by her sister the VW Bus. My daddy never had one, but he still boarded an operative Ju-52 while on military service. They survived with the Spanish air force until 1978!

VW.jpg.a43bb14ffcfd851befd4103728ffc044.jpg

God bless the Spanish without whom the Battle of Britain film would have been a festival of Me108s, DC3s and Texans!! I seem to recall they offered their services for free but asked the film-makers for a charitable donation to an orphanage (??) - the makers paid £1700.

Can somebody do werk nr. 6664 SE+KC?

http://www.forcedlandingcollection.se/LW/LW008-Ju52.html

Text is in swedish, but she made an emergency landing in Sweden, after re-supplying german troops in the Narvik area.

My dad was 15 at the time, and helped prepare a runway for it to taks off again. I think she ended up on the eastern front.

Thanks for the link to the story. Quite interesting.

Its a shame that it was returned, but I guess it was part of the neutrality pact with Nazi-Germany at the time.

And in General, like Casa 111s etc. How many were scrapped following the Change in Politics?

They were produced well into the 50s and Officially retired in 1973, with 236 built I find it hardly credible that only 14 Survive when they were already historic in the 60s. I also know for Fact that somewhere in Spain there are a whole bunch of Brand New German Planes in Crates rescued from Libya not too long ago. Considering the General Way Spain appears to Function, I don't think you guys were too eager to recycle a lot of Aircraft, but maybe I'm wrong.

@melkarth I would like to THANK you so much for your Tante Ju Skins.

Each time I see a skin from you, it makes me happy.

As a Junkers 52 fan and other transport/liaison planes, I love how you make original and unique skins. It makes Tante Ju even more better!

To add more, you make a sweet story!

Please continue. I will always be thankful for each single skin of yours (and other Tante Ju skinners)

I am sure I am not the only one!

A real challenge, a Canadian JU52/1. Canada purchased 6 of these and converted to Rolls Royce engine.  Understood you can’t change the actual aircraft structure so it would have to be 3 engines, but CF-ARM was quite famous in the North, any one want to try a skin close to this real aircraft.

I wanted to skin this one, but has anyone some basic 4k psd templates for the Ju52?

I have only the official one posted by Jason, and setting all the colors etc right is quite a bit of work .... I made a red, a blue and a white sofar.

Could use a Russian green and a desert yellow ..
