Demo test mission.zip

(for demo missions BoS (Ju87) required for player's plane, if you don't have the Ju87 you can select in ME another german plane)

-Attack Squadron Commander:

-For SP Missions

-default pilot career arty spotting flash script is used for commanding a unit of attack planes (currently 1 lead flight and 3 attack flight)

-Combat Area for Air Strikes: ca. 27kmx27km, fits to the GUI map grid lines.

image.thumb.png.946b8d140d640fe32e71d932b6df3c6e.png

-Player is Squadron Commander his lead flight can be individually created for each mission, not to be linked to the script / group

-Flights of Attack Squadron: in the current 3 flights, each with 3x Ju87, the 3rd with additional 2xFW190-F3

(for allied missions only the planes to be changed)

-At the beginning of the mission only first flight is active, to avoid, that all flights drop all bombs simultanreously

-currently: 1minute after one of the 1st flights planes dropped bombs the 2nd flight is activated, and the same with the 3rd flight.

-currently flash script is activated during the whole mission: time acceleration deactivated (but this topic is about short range ground attack missions)

-the leader can attack with his lead flight too, without  using the menu

-how it works:

-search for ground targets in the Combat Area.

-try to estimate the grid location: e.g: Krasny = G5

-from cockpit view LWin + 1 for menu:

image.png.e84ead7ca3924ef357fedd2ac292c2ff.png

(For Krasny select G5)

-the first flight will search for targets and attack if there are some

-if not check the grid and correct

-after 1 target is attacked search for other targets and choose grid locations for attack

(2nd and 3rd flight will appeaar 1 after the other)

-you can attack as long as ammo is available.

The same Group can be used to call air strikes from a TC Tank.

Added later:

03:54: Second Attack Flight is spawned (activated) + 2nd attack command

04:32: Second Attack command

06:40: Third Attack Flight is spawned (activated) + 3nd attack command

08:18: third target strafed by 2nd attack flight

Very cool @kraut1! I am loving all the stuff you are doing with the artillery spotting logic!

No, they have currently realistic limited ammo, because of that, the attack flights 1,2,3 are activated one after the other, to avoid, that they drop all bombs on 1 target.

You can see 2 times Ju87 without bombs strafing the trucks, and the 2 FW190-F3 shall do the same, but more efficiently.

(and another idea was, that after dropping bombs about 4 minutes later the flight is deleted (deactivated) for fps. But this can be adjusted as required)

Too bad we can’t have this in multiplayer. Or can we?

I suppose not, I think Flashy has mentioned this.

I think the reason is, that the Flash Script is automaticly active for the player's plane.
