? for Pimax Crystal Light users

Does the Pimax Crystal Light improve identifying aircraft at a distance?  How does it compare to a display monitor with regard to identifying aircraft at a distance?

 

I am using an HP Reverb G2 and would like to upgrade, but really only if it improves identifying distant aircraft.

I think all VR is generally worse than a monitor for spotting and ID’ing. 
 

The PCL is somewhat better than the Q3 at spotting for me but at medium distance, not at long distance much…

Vastly superior than in my G-2, also increased my effective gunnery distance and overall accuracy.  Big difference in ground attack too being able to ID and engage ground targets with positive identity of what I'm shooting at.  

 

It was hard to distinguish between gray blobs, can now make out a soft shell truck vs armored beast outside of gun commitment ranges.  So yeah, target ID is much better.

Thank you, gentlemen!  Now I suppose I have to wait until a few of our friends have purchased the Pimax Crystal Super (coming out later this year) and can report how it performs.

Here there are some through-the-lens picture I took for PCL and Q3. This can give you and idea about ID and spotting:

 

Remember that for the PCL you will need a top GPU if you want to get the most of it.

With the PCL you will gain edge-to-edge clarity versus G2.

My current and only headset is Quest3. In my opinion I think is the best headset I can have for IL2, but it is not yet perfect.

IL-2 is the only game I play and IL-2 is the only reason I have VR.

 

At the time of Kisckstarter of DK1, IL-2 was tested in experimental way with DK1 and that made me enter in IL-2.

 

Since then I have tested most of key VR devices: Rift, VivePro, Primax5K, Index, G1, G2, VivePro2, Pico4, Quest3, PCL
