Control Setup settings

Hi all, and merry christmas !

 

I am trying to get back into BoX after a very long hiatus. I have the new patch and am try to setup my controls. I have one problem however ... In weapons settings when selecting 'SPACE' for guns I am getting a confliction! This message shows....

I have searched the entire Controls list and can find no mention of "- inpvc_brake" . I have also searched online excel sheets, again without success !

Can anyone tell me what this other control is so I can find and delete the conflicting control.

Not sure, but it looks like an USB conflict.

1) See what devices.txt has to say in the input folder.

2) use USBdeview.exe to UNINSTALL (under file) all white marked unused abundant USB drivers. Restart needed i think after that.

So I went thru the above procedure and now my devices sorting is thus....

Unfortunately I am still getting the original conflict !!

 

Any other ideas gents?

Does it mean you are unable to use space  for guns?

your devices.txt looks OK. you could try to delete (Backup first) your input folder, and delete the updates folder from the main game folder too.

Then start launcher for a file check, and see if its OK then.

I tried your latest suggestion, no difference. I'm going to just uninstall the whole game and start from scratch! Wish me luck.

PS your Thrustmaster ID 3 (combined) i don't get? If you use TARGET that might be the cause too, i have a warthog set that works fine without it. Just remove it and try without ..

 Would you mind uploading your profile for me please jollyjack, my current is the one I d/loaded from TM web site. A side question, if you aren't using TARGET, how are you getting shifted key presses?

Realise you are using Crosswind pedals, but that is the least of my worries.

Just interested to see what may be giving this conflict, also... A side question, if you aren't using TARGET, how are you getting shifted key presses?

Indeed, using TARGET I use the paddle switch to get shifted commands.

Never had this problem in the past, after the install I'll not even enable my HOTAS, everything unplugged, I'll see what just the KB throws up.

All ready been there looking for a TM profile, unfortunately no luck accept something waay pre the 5.201 rls.

They are nowhere to be found in the GUI control settings. In fact the only reference to the Space key is the guns, and that strange conflict.

@fubar_2_niner, just delete the devices.txt file and start afresh that way. The other suggestions you have been receiving are just going to make you more confused.

 

You can find that file in the /data/input folder.

HI, Already been done. I have uninstalled, swept the registry and unplugged all my HOTAS. Then reinstalled IL2 updated and tried without plugging my HOTAS in. Using keyboard only, I am still seeing this conflict !

Hmm, in that case, I think you will still be alright. I had a look at the current.actions file, and "fire all guns" is mapped to the same command as that inpvc_brake input. However, I have the feeling that is either an old command brought over from ROF or it's a wheel brake command that just doesn't do anything right now. As long as nothing else is actuated when you use the spacebar you'll be okay.

There are a few other "inpvc_" instances, I cannot remember them from the top of my head, but they don´t seem to do anything so you can just ignore them. They´ve been there from the start.
