Do you use a VPN

I would like to know if any one uses a VPN when they play il2 GB and have they had any issues after the last update 5.105.

 

If you do use a VPN can you tell me the name issues or not.

I am now getting two errors:

1. No connection with authorized server.
2. Your connection to Master-Server was temporarily lost. Check your internet connection.

I'm running Bitdefender Antivirus and VPN, I can connect to Combat Box and the Finnish Server with my VPN on. I went into settings, split tunneling, selected IL2, DCS, TIR, TARGET, and Joy2key, SRS for IL2/DCS, and allowed the computer to connect to them without going through the VPN. Running Windows 10. I imagine the only thing you really need to junction out of the VPN would be IL2 and DCS, and SRS. Not sure if TARGET, TIR, Joy2key need to access the internet to function properly.

I have been trying to find out from what country the server is for IL2 GB every time I try I get no answer including contacting IL2 support and had a reply from a Olga Yemelyanova  Olga did not say were the servers country was I maybe wrong but it do's sound like a Russian name ?

 

Why do I want to know the country the IL2 sever is it is because Express VPN asked me so I can set my VPN to it.

 

For now I will play the game off line I do not intend to purchase any more at the moment.

Hi JG7_X-Man thanks for that I set my VPN to USA-New Jersey-1 and all was OK I could login using my VPN.

I've never used a VPN for IL2 Great Battles, but I have an alternative setup that works well for me. Instead of a VPN, I employ an anonymous proxy from proxys.io at $1.5. This decision was based on my desire for anonymity and a smooth gaming experience.

Since adopting this approach, I've encountered no problems with the game. The proxy allows me to maintain my privacy while ensuring a stable and uninterrupted connection to IL2 GB. While I can't speak for VPN users specifically after the last update, 5.105, I can vouch for the effectiveness and affordability of this proxy solution.

What kind of advantages do you get using VPN? I am curious because I only use VPN to get access to movies not yet in my country.

I haven't personally tried it, but I know quite a few players who swear by it. They say it helps with lag and improves their overall gaming experience. As for any issues after the last update (5.105), I haven't heard any complaints so far. But keep in mind that every setup is different, so it's always a good idea to do some research or maybe even try a free trial of a VPN service before committing to it. Oh, and if you're not keen on using a VPN, some players have mentioned using a proxy site as an alternative.

Without VPN my teammate from Texas had been kick out from multiplayer servers constantly - aka 10009 error code. Surfshark - the VPN.

Hey, I've been using a VPN while playing IL-2 Great Battles, and I haven't had any issues after the 5.105 update. I use ExpressVPN, and it works smoothly without affecting my gameplay. I haven't noticed any increased lag or connection problems. You could also try looking for reliable proxies. Tou can check out lightningproxies.net.
