LLv34_Flanker Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 S! Been a sad couple weeks. Our youngest cat Keijo passed away at age of one and half year old. Nothing could be done when came home and found him lifeless on the floor :( May he rest in peace, he is sorely missed. 8

We take cats from s local cat resque We started doung it 17 years ago. when first died we where devastated. One grows accustom to these buggers , never really been a cat person. My wife on the other hand... Anyway after a few month we took in another , because I missed cats, after 4 month he died due to a kidney disease. It was simply too much loosing two within a few months. It took a year before we got the two we now have. Brothers they are. Great cats. People just do not understand the grief when they pass away. 2 5
LLv34_Flanker Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 S! @216th_LuseKofte Those little rascals are part of the family and everyday life. Still have 4 cats left, but one missing can be felt. Cats are purrfect 3
Zooropa_Fly Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 (edited) Lost 2 in the last four weeks, down to just the six now ! But happily they had both gone as far they could so it's easier to take. Still a lot quieter though. Obviously there's a human tragedy (non-virus related) unfolding which comes first, but especially at this time I'd encourage anyone who can, to support their local animal rescue centres in some way. There will be many animals suffering now and into the future.. S! Edited November 3, 2020 by Zooropa_Fly 2 4
cardboard_killer Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 Who needs fire collar when you have fur coat? Tangled up in Rainbow 3
LLv34_Flanker Posted November 24, 2020 Posted November 24, 2020 S! One of the cats is gone, but never forgotten. The rest have undergone a change in "picking order", but all is falling in place now. Furry and funny creatures 5 1 2

LLv34_Flanker Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 S! @Bremspropeller What is wrong with cats?! ? Feels odd to have only 4 of those furry avengers now I like dogs too, but they require a bit more work than cats. Maybe when I retire I can have a dog again, more time for it.
cardboard_killer Posted May 10, 2021 Posted May 10, 2021 Flying is tiring work. Rest and Relaxation are required. 4 2

LLv34_Flanker Posted June 1, 2021 Posted June 1, 2021 S! @216th_CatI bet me living too far away That cat in the pic is Savu(Smoke in Finnish). He is a real charmer. 1

Humans, on the other hand, tend to act like chimps. IMO. 1 3
Charlo-VR Posted June 3, 2021 Posted June 3, 2021 These are so delightful, and a fitting tribute to those who suffer the indignity of being ignored while we stare at a screen and twitch our feet, hands, and feet for no discernible reason to our furry roommates! Another of my hobbies I share with my wife is fostering small dogs, more than 60 in the past three years. Here's a link to a folder we add photos to as we receive new foster dogs and sometimes are sent photos from their new forever homes: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ee33zj5zquq7uru/AABsgZUlQACTHOGThOv-i6R7a?dl=0 2
cardboard_killer Posted June 4, 2021 Posted June 4, 2021 Nothing like rolling around in the dirt to get clean. 2 2
LLv34_Flanker Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 S! Curiosity is overwhelming. Had a can of beer tucked in that plastic thing to avoid accidental spillage while playing. Of course Sumu(Fog in Finnish) had to check this arrangement out. 1 2
cardboard_killer Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 Reading that dog's facial expression: "I can't believe I have to wear this stupid coat. All the other dogs are going to make fun of me."

itsbillyfrazier Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 Bambi & Zeus. Bambi (Cat) sadly passed away on December 12th, 2020. I'd always been a dog person (particularly German Shepherds) and was pretty indifferent to cats, that was until Bambi came along about 9 years ago and completely changed my opinion of cats forever. He started out as my wife's cat, but by the end he had me running around after him and worrying about him all the time. What a funny and cool personality he had, he made me laugh almost everyday. He is deeply missed by all, especially his best pal Zeus. 2 1 2
Chief_Mouser Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 (edited) This little twit wasn't ours - but we sure missed him after he died last year. Edited June 5, 2021 by 216th_Cat 1 2
von_Tom Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 Dora (after the D9, not the Explorer...) . Almost 1 year since she died at the age of 15. Still miss her daily. Felicity aka Stupiditiy aka Fat Panda aka Vewopewaptor aka Loafy-Loaf. Dora's sister and still with us. Panda's normal pose. von Tom 4 2
Vig Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 This beauty is my current owner: And this yellow guy was my good friend, a neighborhood cat that I called Perry Lee: He was a roving Tom, very good natured, a little bite-y but he he just played rough. He had the most peculiar coat; it looked normal but to the touch it was wirehair. He was not feral but he wasn't supervised much; he was on a mission to claim the largest territory and meet every pussycat in the vicinity. He would come by starved, with ribs showing, and he sometimes ate two cans of wet food at a sitting. He would jump on my lap for a pet and then off again. A few time he came by badly beat up - we live in an area with coyotes - and I would doctor him and keep him in the garage until he was healed. Then he stopped coming, and we heard from people in the neighborhood that he was missing, and finally heard that he was found and was dead. I mourned him and still miss him terribly, but several months after he died I saw a smaller version of him slinking in the sewer across the street. He happily accepted my offer of food and a pet - and he was wirehaired. It was good to know that Perry Lee's quest had not been in vain. 3 1
CUJO_1970 Posted June 5, 2021 Posted June 5, 2021 (edited) We volunteer for a local rescue so there are always different 4-legged creatures coming in and out. These two goofballs are our own though (both were originally rescues): Sweet Pea: Penny: This little dude survived a house fire (so we name him Phoenix) only to be left behind in a crate. In this picture he is completely blind and can't even walk. Had to be fed with an IV for a while: He traveled to Chattanooga for specialized treatment, which gradually restored his vision (most of it anyway. He is a happy and healthy member of society today ?
