There are three independent downloads of this skin pack available (click on the bold-underlined text to download the desired version):

- Google Drive: This version contains only the skins and preview images of the pack compressed in a .RAR file. To install this version of the skin pack, you must decompress the downloaded file into the "SpitfireMkXIV" folder located inside "data\graphics\skins"

- Haluter's Skin Downloader: The same pack of skins can also be found under "No. 41 Squadron RAF" IL2 Group (see picture HERE)

- MOD: This version is meant to be used in single-player "Career" mode and was specially made for those who wish to have the AI pilots in squadron use historical skins instead of the default ones. The pack has been configured to allow randomization of the skins by the AI pilots to improve immersion (see images below). It's recommended that you use JSGME to install and properly use this as a MOD. Also, make sure you have MODS enabled when you start the game (this is only needed for the MOD version of the skin pack and not the ones listed above). Looks good.  What do you think of the plane?  I've found that the clipped plane flies like a brick but the full wing version feels like a Spitfire still.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Absolutely agree with you. The clipped wing is more difficult to handle and feels heavier but it is also faster while the standard one feels more like a Spitfire. Either way, the FM does not feel quite right to me just yet but again Ive never flown one so I don't really know.

Custom versions are not historical. The markings themselves have been created by me and @41Sqn_ZaxOnTheBeach to give some spice into the pack and also to be used in Career mode as a "Ace" version of some codes. Although they are not historical, they have been created to be time-frame appropriate, so you wont see Power Rangers or Shrek painted on them lol. Most Spitfires of the 41 Sqn, at this time, had no "customized" markings so a lot of the profile aircraft in the pack were actually bare like that in real life. Historical skins (based on real aircraft profiles with correct camo pattern and serial numbers) in the pack include EB-B_45 (flown by John B. Sheperd), EB-V_44 (flown by Douglas I. Benham) and EB-E_45 (flown by P/O Patrick Coleman).

 

I'm glad you like it. The goal is to eventually expand the pack to 16 codes (hopefully I can get there).
