In the screenshot below, you can clearly see how the instrument panel appears to be metal when it should actually be wood.  In the corner, you can also see how the cabine struts are too dark.

In this screenshot, it is obvious there are no lines running out of the pitot tube and into the top wing.  It is also clear how the color of the struts is too dark when compared the image below.

In the image below, you can see the pitot-static lines as the silver bit along the front of the front-right cabine strut as well as coming out of the pitot tube.

Hey!

 

Will this be fixed? Especially the wood texture of the instrument panel. The triplane looks so much better with its brown wood texture compared to the greyish texture of the camel.

Brief description: sound of boost control with FW 190 A5 without U17 modification
Detailed description, conditions: When you push the switch boost on button, the 190 A5 sounds as if you push the boost control even if you have not selected the U17 variant.

I know it is a stupid bug and it is just as simple as not to push the button. Excuse my OCD with the cockpits. ?

Brief description: Levitating tank in Cologne
Detailed description, conditions: Tanks are levitating over the main road bridge in the middle of Cologne. I also noticed that when I load the track, there is no bridge after all.

Brief description:

Sopwith Triplane Skins Do Not Account For Twin Gun Modification


Detailed description, conditions: 

It appears as though the Sopwith Triplane is meant to be a "two texture skin" similar to the Hurricane. If you take any official skin (or custom for that matter) which has everything painted over in the PC10/PC12 colour but then choose the twin-Vickers modification then part of the skin is replaced with texture for the default skin.

When trying to install downloaded Sopwith Triplane skins, I have realised, that there is no folder for Sopwith Triplane in data/graphic/skins folder.  I tried to create folder SopTriplane and put downloaded skins into it, but the skins did not show in the game. Official skins show in game OK.

I found that I named the new skin folder incorrectly. Now everything is OK. Sorry for botherin you, guys...

Brief description: Weird looking ground textures on Rheinland winter map since last patch

Brief Description: Two improvements for the Bf 110 E2

Detailed Descxription:

1. When the player opens the canopy after the mission, it would be nice if the radio opertators rear window, which opens, when he takes control over the rear gun, would open, too, as it was his hatch to enter and leave his compartement, like the top hatch of the radio operator in the G2 opens.

As you can see it in this screenshot:

Of course, when starting a mission in parking area, the rear window should be open, too.

 

2. It would add to realism, if the radio operator wasn't able to shoot with the reargun, as long as he is reloading the 20mm guns.

    It would add even more realism, if the time for reloading the 20mm guns would depend on the maneuvers, the pilot is flying. The more maneuvering, the higher G- loads,   the longer the time for reloading the 20mm guns.

I just had another bug happen in my Bf 110 career at Stalingrad. I get this from time to time, I think when an aircraft hits water. The game stops and I have to 'Alt+Tab' to get the error message:

 

'Object undefined

 

LuaScripts\WorldObjects\Emitters\WaterSpray5_1.txt'

 

When I then click 'OK' the message disappears and the game goes on.

Just flew an A20 night mission and the bombardier's view is useless due to so much light reflection which should not be there (No cockpit lights, it's night, and dark).  No mission or track, but it should be easily repeatable.  Somewhere there's an erroneous light source creating bright reflections at the bombardier's position in the A20.

Nvidia GTX 980 Ti,   newest driver (456.71) : 

Since last update I get red blocks on the map when zooming in.

Short time (5-10 seconds) later  I get CTD.

after purchasing the  STEEL BIRDS campaign I get an error for "texture/defBLACK.dds  and texture;/defNORMAL.dds"......what's the fix?

UPDATE:

i  opened each of the 2 files that were having issues...."texture/defBlack.dds" and "texture/defNormal.bmp"......brought them separately into MICROSOFT PAINT....resized each to 100X100 pixels....THEN....filled the resized area BLACK for the "texture/defBlack.dds" and filled the newly resized file "ttexture/defNormal.bmp" with NO COLOR.....reinserted them into their original position files.....RESULT.....fixed.....game has no errors and works perfectly......there's a HOTFIX.....lol.

By the way, you can set quality of shadows in settings.

I understand Its shadows on water etc ... and If I good remember I have shadows , water , terrain quality all way up on settings ... but don`t You think its look poor ? I don`t remember but its always look so bad ? I play in this new series of IL-2 since 2015 but just don`t remember such a stains on water ..... Cheers Mate ?  :salute:

Brief description: sight_eu_peacepalace.mgm missing from Rheinland map
Detailed description, conditions: The Peace Palace in Den Haag (The Hague) is missing from the Rheinland map. The model is already in game, but doesn't appear on the maps (either the Rheinland surface.dat or the template Rheinland_cities.group).
Additional assets (videos, screenshots, logs): This is where the Peace Palace is supposed to be:

...but it isn't.

 

I already posted about this in a different thread, and there I created a group and surface file for it (surface file uses the Rheinland SurfaceTex.txt):

Feel free to include these in the official files, if you like, or create another one. But it would be a shame not to have it in the game at all, as is the case now.

I had also posted this bug long ago but got no reaction. It was working fine and after an update maybe a year or more ago it became like this.

Here on Lapino map. The same problem on Kuban map. So here a picture and then a track.

I started a new career, flying the Bf 109 E7 on the Moscow map, but when starting the first mission (my first mission after the last update), I had the following error message on the loading screen:

'Object undefined

 

LuaScripts/WorldObjects/Ballistics/HandGunFlareWhite5.txt'

 

Alt+ Tab brought me the cursor after some attempts, but I couldn't click anything. I had to reboot the PC with Alt+Ctrl+Del.

Second try with this mission got me the same error message, just with 'Red7' instead of 'White5'.

A restart of the career brought me a first mission running, but the second mission again the error message.

i found a little misspelling on the A 234.

Left to the RPM indicators on the instrument panel

the tag shows:

 

Höchsten Geschwindigkeit     it should be Höchstgeschwindigkeit without  "en"

 

Landeklappe Startstellung    320 Km/h

Landeklappe Landestellung  280 Km/h

Strange. Meanwhile I checked the integrity of my game files on Steam, downloaded and installed the new Nvidia driver and tried the mission with the 109 again. Started careers with the 110 on the Moscow and Stalingrad map and the Hs 129 on the Kuban map, always with the same result. When I click on 'Start Mission', which should bring me to the mission map, I get the error message and have to restart the computer. I can't play career mode. Here the file of the last mission I generated.

Update: PWCG missions and missions of scripted campaigns don't work either, only QMB. And it doesn't matter if I try to play with or without internet connection.

I have opened a post in VR because I have the same problem. In virtual reality, the reflection of the clouds in the sea not only looks bad but also generates unbearable flickering. I hope they can do something.

Hi, any news about this issue - too much bloom over horizon? 
It looks like nuke blast ?, not like from the Sun even. This issue is present from 4.703 and it’s present still, this bug wasnt solved in the last few patches :(. For me it looks like the devs Team must to adjust bloom for the current lighting model, it looks like new lightening was came but the bloom effect wasnt touched by IL2 Team and here is the reason of this bug :blush:.

 

Its very, very visible in VR (much more than on 2D screen) and looks like big flash. Pls fix it finally. :bye:

Thx, however I don't think that's a good solution (I checked it). Without HDR the picture is too dark and without depth and some effects visible in fogging. The terrain looks too dark also (if you use gamma the sky and clouds are too bright), cockpit is too dark too. Maybe its a good idea to add to graphical settings option for bloom as a separate window, like off, normal and strong (everyone will be able to adapt it to themselves, whether they are flying in VR or not). As we see bloom on/off works a little: https://imgur.com/a/Gq6rm2N (no modification but I'm sure the IL2 team can do it much better and adjust it perfectly to the user's preferences) but this is in startup.cfg and each time is resseting and Im sure it needs improvment still. Pls check bloom option again and adapt them to the current lighting in IL-2 BoX. As you can see many people noticed this issue (topics above) and Im sure they want to stay (or most of them) with HDR too. :)

The wing bomb selector switches in the Fw 190 A-6 are inverted. In this image, they are not selected to be dropped, but the selector switches are in the "Ein" position. This is backwards - they should be in the "Aus" position when only the centerline bombs are chosen to be dropped:
