Pozsgay Posted August 30, 2021 Posted August 30, 2021 I want to ask for some help. I'm woking on my comic book "The Old Tiger" which is about a mission of the 102/2 "Tigris" Hungarian Me 210 Ca-1 fast bomber squadron. My grandfather (he is on my profile picture) was gunner on a 210. The C (and D) variant had the same long fuselage as the 410 and the cockpit equipment too. I want to draw it as accurate as possible - the story is true as well - and I'm missing some details. Knows somebody maybe what the text on the two labels marked with red 1 and 2 on my (work in progress) drawing was? The label under the airspeed indicator shows speed limitations for sure, I saw a closer photo from that, but it was not full legible (I even held a piece of that left instrument panel in my hand, but that label was badly damaged on it). The label on the rear gun controller is still a mystery for me Thank You for any advice! 7

Thank You! I have this image, but I was unable to read the full text on it: Looks like something: Höchst zul. an- gezeigt Geschw. b.Bahn? Flug? Höhe Km. 9 7 5 3 Va.Km/h 430 500 570 600? Hungarian built Ca-1 had this panel too (maybe not on all planes). I'm sure, it was in my hands unfortunately in very bad conditions. The attached image has a little inaccuracy: The manifod pressure gauge was built in rotated 90° counterclockwise (in 410 models too) to have enough space for the cables backside. Like I painted it

IvanDrago-33 Posted October 15, 2021 Posted October 15, 2021 Good day, guys ! Can you, please, tell me where you can find ALL readable stencils for Messerschmitt Me-210/410? Thank you in advance for your reply. Best regards to you.

1CGS =FB=VikS Posted October 25, 2021 1CGS Posted October 25, 2021 So, we know that SB 1000/410 was used by 410s, but there is only a text desc about its parashute available: "It has a wire stiffening; is about 5 ft. diameter and is attached to the bomb by 32 cords" "The parachute is of coarse weave vegetable matter. Red, green, and blue parachutes have been found. There are 16 double parachute shroud lines" Any ideas how this parachute may looked like/any chematics maybe? 1
Pozsgay Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 I collected some other images about the power cable of the gunners Revi and the rotated manifold pressure gauge. The Revi cable was led outside of the mount. In the me Me 410 handbook I found a Revi 25 photo too, but the cord was led the same way like with Revi 16: And here the rotated manifold pressure gauge (where the numbers are blurred or not visible, the position of the "ata" label and the default 1.0 needle position shows the position clearly). I've seen the upright gauge only on (probably incorrectly) restored instrument panels: The red label under the speedometer was equipped on dive bomber versions and shows speed limitations.
1CGS =FB=VikS Posted March 11, 2022 1CGS Posted March 11, 2022 @Pozsgay Thanks for the note! But - seems like lable present on recon and zerstroyer versions as well, here is example of captured A-3: and B2/U4 PS: do you mybe have info - what kind of text is on this lable here?: 1
ZachariasX Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 Good question, but it is a label that they didn't reproduce on the (what I think is the) Cosford Me-410.
Pozsgay Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 @=FB=VikS That label is unfortunately in my blind spot too. I consulted with researchers and plane restorers, but nobody knows more about. The only feasible thing I found is a "Funktionsprüfung" (function checklist) description in the Me 410 handbook, which "I would put there" as useful hint for the gunner. But it is only my assumption, that a part of this list could be there. In my comic I simply leaved that place blank - but I had to use a Hungarian label, which is much more a mystery I think You have two alternative: 1. Left that place blank. 2. Use a part of the "Funktionsprüfung" text above in the same lenght like on the label (maybe the last 3-4 sentences). It is really from the Me 410 and nobody will know if we were wrong
Sternjaeger Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 Hello folks, I'm trying to ascertain the exact type of ammunition used on the BK 5 cannon, the info I found so far is a bit confusing or contradicting. We know the rounds were electrically primed, but what type of specific shell did they use? Is there any photo of the BK 5 being loaded with ammunition? Thanks!
