Game crash to desktop after 4.008 install

Just tried to play P-40 intercept mission that came with BOM and game crashed when I believe MC-202 Spawn. Played same mission today without problem before 4.008 update.

Same here with BOM official Ju88 campaign. Two crashes in a row. Never was a case with 4.07

I had a flickering screen as if my trackhat (opentrack) drivers were firing at will, after the update. Was fixed after a PC reboot.

The ME crashes still some times when grouping-ungrouping stuff.

 

Maybe it has to do with the update folder and crashes i recall from a while back?

It started crashing for me as well today after the new update.

First during a playback (it was an old playback) and then twice during a Kuban career mission in a Yak.

Never had a crash to desktop before during the gameplay.

I turned off Windows game-mode and Nvidia's ultra-low-latency-mode to get rid of any non-standard variables. Keeping fingers crossed.

@bpgpaul, @G-YMML, @jollyjack, @WheelwrightPL, We need a dump file.

 

1. To enable Windows Error Reporting, run (double-click) this log file:

\data\EnableErrorReporting.reg

2. In a case of the game crash open the folder where crash dumps are stored, you can do this by running this batch file:

\data\ViewCrashDumps.cmd

3. Sort the dump files by date to find a newest one

4. Zip the newest dump file "Il-2.exe.****.dmp" (**** is a random number)

5. Post about the crash in this thread, attach the archive you just made and provide some details:

Same here before 4.008 no problems now i have 3 crashes in 5 missions..... BAM from game right to desktop.

For the first time the game (with Steam) refuses to start. 

I was flying yesterday with the new 4.008 fine. I don´t know what happened ....

I am Validating the Steam Files now.  (verify integrity of game files ...)

Fixed with 4.008b hotfix, fastest team ever!
