Friends,

If you're using VR device, than please note here:

1. Have you "fish-eye" trouble with normal zoom after 4.006d update?

2. Which VR device model you have?

3. Have you d3d11.dll file in <game_install_folder>\bin\game\d3d11.dll folder?

4. Is PC restarting solving this issue?

1. Yes, unfortunately. The field of view is more narrow than before and distant objects are moving in an unnatural way when looking around.

2. OG Vive.

3. I don't have the file

Edit: 4. No

1. No

2. HP Reverb

3. No d3d11.dll file in {gamefolder}\bin\game folder (there is no d3d11.dll folder either but I think that's a typo from you).  Oddly, I do have a d3d11_log.txt file from May 25, 2020, and have played several times since then. Was that the date of the previous update?

4. No PC Restart needed since no issue

1. Yes, but only with Parallel Projections disabled (enabling them enables zoom correctly).  Default head position is much closer to the dash of the plane than previous versions regardless.

2.  Pimax 5k Plus SN#203

3.  No

4.  No

Okay Tested all night.  Fov is fine (proper) on small, fov is worse (lower) on medium and very low *face to the dashboard*, in high fov.

I also could improve it by setting the desktop resolution to the native value, but there's still some strange distortion that I did not have before.

1. Only attempting to use it inside the cockpit, more a crosseyed effect than any fishy eye's, outside the pit it works superb!

3. No file

4. Restarted at install without firing it up a first time, A-OK.

1. Yes: with Pitool Parallel Projection ON = fisheye in normal FOV is massive;  with Pitool Parallel Projection OFF = fisheye in normal FOV is significantly less, but still present.  Both render the game unplayable in VR.  FYI... zoom works well with PP ON, and is still broken with PP OFF

it feels like i'm flying with a Permanent Zoomed IN condition... but at a much lesser scale... It's very hard to describe.

I HAVE to add:

Fish bowl effect is WITHOUT zooming on VivePro.

forget zooming, I can't even fly regularly... it's super weird and tiring and unnatural.

@-DED-Rapidus, @Han

If you have the “fish eye” effect in the HTC Vive pro, you will need to change the screen resolution in the ingame settings to your native monitor resolution. This will fix the effect.

in the game there is an IPD setting while sittings in the cockpit,  also you'll probably need to go into the 2-D mode and set your FOV again.

ipdsettings.thumb.jpg.d6e43fd2d5dc828cf1ca08a9c44975cb.jpg

yes as Rowdyb00t states you'll need to run you're native monitor resolution, it's better as you get better performance any ways.

yes, I tried that. All it does is makes my cockpit either a jumbo-jet size or or a tiny rc plane. It doesn't change the Fov of the world.

not sure I follow?  The "screen" resolution is set in SteamVR, not in the game..

In your ingame settings, set your screen resolution to your native monitor resolution. I.E 1920x1080

i still don't get it. What does my monitor's resolution have to do with VR goggles? My monitor is at 1900x1200 and my goggles are at ~2500x2300...

Make sure this setting is set to your native monitor setting. Not sure why or how, but its fixed.

1. Without any zoom applied I have this fish-eye effect which is frankly somewhat nauseating. With VR zoom applied the previous overlap issue is no longer present and a better zoomed-in image with much greater clarity is present as is the nausea.

2. Pimax 5K Plus

3. This file does not exist in this location and there is no such folder. This file is located in /windows/system32.

4. No it does not.

Setting my in-game resolution to my monitor's native resolution which is 4K does nothing  positive. I now cannot fly anymore in VR. Losing the zoom mod meant nothing to me as I didn't use it at all but now I am unable to fly in this platform in VR. Cheers!
