ACG_Desertor Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 Hello everyone! I hope that you all are safe and stay safe during this hard weeks. Im about to begin a new campaign in BoS. The question is, should I use any mod? Is there a mod worth using? Which ones do you use? Second question, Im finishing a BoM campaign, is there any posibility that I can use the same pilot in the Stalingrad campaign? Im lieutenant with +100 kills and I wouldnt like to start from the bottom again.. hahha thanks guys Thank you all!

Yes, you can play through multiple campaigns for e.g. moscow -> stalingrad -> kuban Do you play with plane markers on or off? If off i recommend this visual mod to make plane spotting a bit better. 1 1

IL-2: Battle of Stalingrad has a mod community that does some very interesting work. This, however, is not something like X-Plane where you need mods to get the solid experience. You can just start playing. 4 hours ago, desertorSP said: Second question, Im finishing a BoM campaign, is there any posibility that I can use the same pilot in the Stalingrad campaign? So a Russian pilot career can start on the Moscow campaigns, go through the Stalingrad campaigns and finish in the autumn of 1943 at the end of the Kuban campaign. A German pilot career right now can go even further as they can follow the same progression and then jump from there to the western front and go from September 1944 through to April 1945. None of my pilots have lived that long... but it's doable 1 1
Jade_Monkey Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 For SP Mods, I would recommend the following: Either one of the two: More realistic clouds Sky and clouds mod Multicolored tracers There is another one with wobbly tracers and multicolored tracers but I have not personally tried it yet. 4K cockpit textures 1 2

Personally I don't use wobbly treacers.thats not realistic and just shows tracers from gun cameras with vibrations.

They will overwrite files on each other. More Realistic Clouds has all the sky files edited to correlate with each different skydome and light.bmp’s. Also I have almost twice as many cloud maps, skydomes, and lighting. So more than likely you will get a ugly effect and/ or many errors. Edited May 7, 2020 by rowdyb00t
GregP Posted May 8, 2020 Posted May 8, 2020 If you’re planning on doing realistic engine management, this mod places a sticky note of sorts in each cockpit that shows very handy basic engine parameters.

Really useful mod for new pilots, which I used as well until my girlfriend complained that I removed her cockpit photo by that. Not kidding xD
