I thought it carried about half the A2A missiles the Hornet does. And it's very possible I'm wrong. I'm not an A2A guy.

 

My Strike Eagle will be moving mud. Very much mud. It's all about the beeg badabooms!

I'm interested to see how this pans out.

 

I think with its best in class radar, SA will be best, but the AIM-120C will still be a limiting factor. In the Viper I never struggle to pick up a lock, well before getting anywhere near effective range of the missile. 

 

If we had D variant 120's it would be a different story, but that isn't ever going to happen!

Yes...the Eagle pilots are fond of saying that their AIM 120 has an "F-16 radar on it"

That said, Kev makes good points regarding missile variants, and the fact that he already has superior SA to existing opponents in the Viper.

I waited two-years or whatever to get the F-14 on sale. Not a big Tomcat fan but the plane is so well made I wanted to have it on hand for when I was in the mood.  I'll do the same with the F-4.

How did you open all the panels? Is it assigned keyboard for it?

F4 is too much of an icon to miss. And I think I can handle the tech. Start to get used to Petrovich in the hind. 
A6 Intruder, you say @Gambit21? Is it a flyable in the workshop? 
A6 is to me like Swordfish , Dauntless , PBY Catalina 

They are my cryptonite, I become an obedient citizen with such software on my hands.

Wow awesome. That cockpit seems more cramped than how I have mine, might need to reduce size of my Hornet a little with IPD adjustment in game.

The wide-angle lens and having the camera behind his head probably both make it look smaller.

 

The guy has quite a few Hornet and T-45 videos on his channel. Well worth a look if you've got a few minutes to spare, and are into carrier ops.

I really dig the DCS videos. Man if I were 1C I'd pay that person whatever they wanted to make videos for IL2. I think it would pay for itself in increased sales. Just a cut above everyone else.

 

How's the DCS P-47? She's my favorite plane, and I want to fly something during break next week.

Much as I love DCS I have yet to fly any WWII birds. Have them, just keeping that to IL-2 for now. Right now though I am pretty wrapped up in the Hornet and learning the Apache.

I would not do that. If you like P 47 in GB, DCS version will ruin it. It is by far the best ww2 module in DCS. It actually can fly below 22 k got one of the best looking pits in DCS is you leave out F 14 , they are too close

I don't like the P-47 FM in DCS. Feels very floaty. But the P-51 I love.

 

You can try the DCS P-47, and all the planes and maps, for free for two-weeks. Might as well try it out and see if you like it.
