I looked for you and your fancy new skins GC

Central was outnumbered when I got on, so I flew with them. When the mission rolled, I swapped back to Entente to take them for a spin. Just a few minor tweaks to the Camel, Bristol, and SE5, then comes the SPAD and Dolphin, followed by Central planes.

Made a 2h sortie in my trusty SPAD, patrolling the lines high up. There were only other SPADS to be seen there, 3 PG I'd reckon. Got in a few fights at lower altitude, one of which was a nice furball down south over our lines. Landed back in Bruay with only a few minutes of fuel.

Yes and what a war it was, unlike any have seen before. Central's did a good job blocking us from taking the southern targets and destroyed all our Bristol's from the southern fields. I ended up taking a SE5 escorting the remaining Bristol's along side of Gascan and his brother. Who happened to be 2 kick ass SE5 pilots. Was beautiful sight. Thank you guys for the escort and who ever else tagged a long. I saw a Camel. Salute.

Saluted for a hard earned win Central.

Thank you guys for a great fight and J5's for the great server. Getting better and better all the time.

PS. Would love to see a few more Bristol's in the hangers now it seems to be getting nastier out there plus our squad might be adding more pilots.

Salute, NO.20's! We were close to finishing that mission. Kotori and I kept spotting planes ahead that we'd go investigate/attack and we'd lose you guys, only to find you under attack a few minutes later. Do you have a discord we could find you on?

Awesome to see the earlier sessions being so popular too.

The war is certainly getting real.

I thought we were covering North well but then they came over with at least 3 up high and 3 ground attackers. We couldn't get the numbers together at the right moment. Frustrating and led us to some rash attacks.

We had you in our sight probably the whole time. You were close by for most of it. Unfortunately some of us had to bump our bombs to combat the enemy or we'd have dropped the bombs on target and won the map. Next time.

We need more squads to cover the lower areas. Camels and dolphin squads.

There was some great fighting last night, and some great teamwork. Entente recons were very successful thanks to some effective escorting. There was a bit of a fight near the southern Central balloon. Kestrik, Kotori and I attacked, but got jumped by 2 D7's, a Pfalz, and a Dr1. Unfortunately, Kestrik got flamed fairly quickly (still learning the SE5), but Kotori and I had a decent little scrap. I got a good burst in one of the D7's, but another D7 and the Pfalz latched onto me. I had to dive for home, outnumbered 2-4, hoping to outrun their bullets. Checking my 6, I saw a trail of fighters spraying bullets, but one of them had the distinctive dihedral of a Royal Aircraft Factory SE5a. Kotori had joined the pain-train and was punishing my two assailants, while another D7 followed him down. First the Pfalz then the closest D7 broke off, leaving me free. Kotori, however, was not out of the woods yet: a Green-tailed D7 was pursuing relentlessly. I hauled my machine up and around while Kotori continued his desperate descent, then dropped in on the last D7. A couple bursts later, and the D7 broke off, allowing Kotori and I to escape to friendly lines.

After that, we assembled another flight together to attack the southern factory. Apparently 3PG got into it with a group of Fokkers up high (I didn't see this until looking at the track afterward), which probably allowed the strike package to break through down low. We took out a lone D7 on the way in, then continued on to the target, slightly strung out. The first Bristol managed to hit the factory just as the first German fighters were diving in on us. There was a ferocious fight for a good few minutes, but German reinforcements were close and we kept suffering losses while trying to disengage. Out of the 2 bombers and 5 escorts, I think two SE5s and a Bristol made it out all shot up. We managed to take out the factory, though, so mission accomplished. Kotori's video might have been corrupted, so I'm gonna see if I can recover it before trying to make a video about it.

A daisy chain forms as I try to escape

Kotori ignores the danger to himself as he fights to clear my 6

I return the favor: the last D7 breaks off

Yeah, was a good night for action.

We disturbed a nest of them near that Southern factory target. 1 turned into 2, then 4 of the fokkers all co-alt. Our flights got separated by that upper layer of the dual clouds and they started to get the upper hand so we disengaged. Hopefully bought you guys some time and space.

Those clouds create some excellent immersion and challenges.

A second escort of @Gardimus on the next map in clearer weather worked a lot better though there was a savage scrap over the target area.  Then on the way home we ran into a returning J30 expedition. Thought it was for recon, though never found their CL2.

The new maps look like recons will need serious escort!

Sorry but I think every map needs serious escort with the recons.

Finally proof that you and your brother Kotari are not in fact the same person, as some thought, by the use of an intricate web of subterfuge (never having been seen together in the same room at the same time). Or is it a double bluff? I wonder ....

I don't know why people keep complaining about the Halberstat. I flew through a gaggle of SE5a's, a herd of Bristols flying recon, a flock of SPADs, did the recon, and then flew back through a flock of SPADs, a herd of Bristols, and a gaggle of SE5a's, and then set her down safe and sound.

I can neither confirm nor deny that my perfect landing may have inspired a famous scene from the hit movie Top Gun:

The 3PG swaps to ground attack in SPADS and the Entente finally wins a map. Coincidence? I think not!

Nah, lots of fun was had. Might have to get reckless more often.

Sacrifices were made in the name of rolling the snow map, which turned up for the gazzillionth time in last 6weeks.

Always happy to get help rolling the map, more so when we're clearing out the snow map. There were a couple good fights for sure, but there were more good fights with the sun shining.

It snows up for you Baer.  Actually its a random thing as with the map rolling at any given time once mission objectives are done, it varies when it snows up.

Absolutely fantastic fights tonight, gentlemen. Gascan and I joined Jasta 5 in a big SPAD hunt, and the 3rd Pursuit did not disappoint. We managed to spring a couple of nice traps on the 3rd, and they pulled a few clever reversals on us. I wish the Central side was always this organized, it's so much more interesting when you get the big team fights with 5-6 planes per side.

Not too shabby for Petty Officers. Almost as good as Feldwebels. ?

Decent turnout, and great fights. Saw some great Bristol gunner action, and a gnarly furball right at the end of the mission.

The RAF20's are born again hard now that the Bristol is close to indestructible.

Yup, now we're on equal footing with the DR1,Phalse,D7,D7F. Unfortunately most of the 20's went off to fly jets and we're down to like 3 or so.

Yeah, noticed this too.

Great numbers for a solid 12hr period, and becoming consistent weekly.

Noticing old pilots returning and new names each week too.
