I’m not being impatient by asking this, just really excited for the update! ? Next week. This will be a huge patch and almost guaranteed there will need to be a hotfix for some bugs that they will want to release ASAP, so no way will they launch it on a Thursday or Friday. Here's what I think the next few days look like for our heroic devs: Today and tomorrow: finish up content. Monday: comb over update one last time looking for any obvious bugs preparing for launch. Tuesday: roll out the update. Any critical hotfixes rolled out in a flurry of work within a couple days. Friday night: go home with a bottle of preferred hard liquor to drink and wonder why in the hell they decided to develop flight sims for a living when they could have been cat herders and had an easier job and a more cooperative customer base. It's not our fault if cats don't understand the critical importance of muzzle brakes and the finer point of petroleum product refinement & logistics! Stupid cats. 1 3

Stupid cats. This begs a truly philosophical question though, what’s easier to heard? Cats or Rivet Counters? Its like the unstoppable vs unmovable object conundrum ? 2

If this was an 8th Air Force sim and we didn't have belly tanks, I'd be complaining about it. But the fighter bomber outfits were often flying such short distances that they didn't often need them. They'd fly for a matter of minutes, sometimes, to attack they're targets. Especially during the Ardennes Offensive. I don't think we need them just so the planes can look cool. 1
StG2_Manfred Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 Can someone tell if enhanced airplane visibility mentioned by AnPetrovich in one of the last DD will already be part of the next update, or is it still in development? New View Distance for Airplanes Yes, by popular request, we have increased the visibility of distant airplanes. This has been a difficult technical challenge, but we think Sturmovik pilots will appreciate this new reality. Can you spot the far-off planes? We’re still tweaking the feature, but it’s in testing.
