Bullets Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Yeah it was weird, It was only spikes when I panned the camera round or flew a little bit. I would sit at 130+ over fields ect but over mountains was 110 and then the dips I talked about were 20> fps. I don't have a clue about what would cause it sorry ?

I made a short performance stress test. Settings: 2560x1440, graphic maxed out, texture mod, heavy (modded) clouds, reshade (tint, bloom), ingame time lapse. And I still had 99-118fps all the time. The recording pulled it down to >75fps. The fps counter is in the upper right corner. Ignore the video stuttering. Shitty software. Ingame was buttery-smooth. I am sorry to say but I can't reproduce your problem ? 2
Juri_JS Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 No performance issues for me either. You've done a great job. I hope in the future you will rework the Prokhorovka map textures too. There's a lot of room for improvement. 2
Bullets Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Okay so just been messing around with a few things. Changed my clouds setting and I am certain it is the clouds affecting my performance now, not your textures. Switched from High to medium and the stutters are gone and I've gained a large amount of fps..
pa4tim Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Do I need to unpack it in the game main dir or direct in the graphics dir. Because you do show the rest of the path but not bold so I am in doubt. After the constant update problems of mods in WoT I told my sell never to install mods again, but this looks so great and in IL-2 1946 I saw how much better mods made it that I am willing to try your mod.

But I cast an eye on moscow... maybe. I need muse for something like this. 19 minutes ago, Bullets said: Okay so just been messing around with a few things. As it says simply extract it into the main folder. The bold path counts. The light grey part is only for orientation. 19 minutes ago, pa4tim said: After the constant update problems of mods in WoT I told my sell never to install mods again, but this looks so great and in IL-2 1946 I saw how much better mods made it that I am willing to try your mod. Maybe someday this mod doesnt work anymore because the devs change something critical. But the original files stay untouched so there shouldnt be any problem. You also could use JSGME. This makes it easier to remove any mod entirely. Edited July 3, 2019 by PicksKing
Marianggello Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 And PicksKing, do you also plan to edit the Stalingrad map?

Honestly I really like the stalingrad map as it is right now. Not much to do there. After the devs made a huge update for this map some time ago, it looks really realistic to me.

Probably an unnecessary thing, but that's just my point of view. Anyway, I´m looking forward to your work! Edited July 4, 2019 by Marianggello 1
Semor76 Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 @PicksKing Very nice work! much appreciated. Question of the day... Have you think about an rework for the Moscow autumn map? I think it´s the worst of all maps then it comes to texture and overall look. 2
Blooddawn1942 Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 Fantastic work. I love it. I wish the devs would integrate Your work in the game so that the mods off mode would also benefit from it. Due to mp reasons I have mods off most of the time. But again. Stunning work. The textures looks very convincing and realistic. And yes. A rework of the Moscow autumn map would be great since this is a mess.

Funfact. I even asked Jason to let me rework kuban officially. He didnt answer but thats ok. I guess its not that easy to say "Sure why not! I dont even know, who you are but do what you want! Here you got tons of raw data aaaand our sorce code. Can I do anything else for you?" ? Its way more complicated and he also might not want to unleash the hell of hundreds of modders, who want to be part of the development. And every smartass modder knows better. 1
Celtarcs Posted July 4, 2019 Posted July 4, 2019 Hello everyone,Hello PicksKing, Thank you very much for your Mod, I really like your video. ? Do you know where I can download the heavy cloud mod ?Which version of ReShade do you use (the latest version 4.3.0 does crashed my game) ? Can you indicate your ReShade parameters (if you do not mind) ?Thank you beforehand. Have a good day.
PicksKing Posted July 4, 2019 Author Posted July 4, 2019 @Celtarcs Its just a combination of the ingame cloud setting heavy or strong or whatever its called and "[MOD] High quality clouds in Low preset". Nothing special. It doesnt change the cloud shaping. Only the sample rate to avoid the flickering. Reshade 4.3.0.563. Only tint (sepia.fx) with a dull blue and a low preset of magicbloom. Thats it. Very subtle effects.
Celtarcs Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 Hi PicksKing,Thanks a lot for your answer. Congratulations for your Mod.Cordially.
paperkites7 Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 where are kuban textures files ;landscape kuban a,s and sp should be after enabling the mod with jsgme

Semor76 Posted October 2, 2019 Posted October 2, 2019 Saluté @PicksKing Did you want to do your texture magic on the Rhineland map too? This would break the repetive texture pattern a bit. 1
PicksKing Posted October 2, 2019 Author Posted October 2, 2019 (edited) @Semor76 Actually yes. But I there isnt much to do. The vanilla textures are already in my taste. Only a few tweaks in color and contrasts. And of course we have to wait until all seasons have been released. Edited October 2, 2019 by PicksKing 1
kroepke10 Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 Hallo PicksKing, you made a beautiful mod. The only problem is that I look too much at your landscapes and forget to watch for the enemie. Go on with this fantastic work. 1
