Patricks Posted June 4 Posted June 4 (edited) Version A no issue, Version B no issue. Funny story, thought I had a controller conflict as my plane was bobbing up\down and not really responding to trim after I had landed and rearmed\repaired on a bombing run. Went through in my mind all the possible things I would check (joystick calibration, possible binding\axis conflict, etc.) after I landed. Forgot I had external views enabled and hit F2 by accident, saw that half of my elevator was missing. Remembered a small "clink" when I was turning around near the aircraft netting after rearming... .Yep, tore it off and flew the entire flight like that! Edited June 4 by Patricks

Has it something to do with the scenario? While using the 'Kalach' scenario I've never seen this error before. Any clue what's behind this one, mate? PS: this error occurs only while using the 'The Volga' and 'Winter Offensive' fronts. The ServerGenerator works fine with the 'Kalach' front though. PPS: Can we can rid of the bridge as a target? After several attempts to let the ServerGenerator create some missions the process always stops after placing the bridge into the mission. Could is be that this target is somehow faulty? PPPS: it seems like the bridges as targets for the Axis on the Soviet side are problematic. On the last ServerGenerator everything ran flawlessly (see attachment). Any clue what's wrong, Vander? mission_generator.zip Edited June 28 by =FI=Genosse
Geleitzug Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Hi Vander, just played a little bit around with the EMG tool creating some night bombing mission for the Channel map, wondering whether it would be possible to implement a function to adjust the amount/number of search lights when close to an enemy airfield or target. Would be pretty much more immersive if one would encounter during a bomb run more than only one search light waving around looking for a catch of enemy planes... would there be any chance to get that added to the mission generator ?

CAG_Krakenskulls Posted August 10 Posted August 10 (edited) Howdy @SYN_Vander @kraut1, long time EZMG user here (thanks!) but I cannot get v89a to work at all on my machine. The program loads up just fine and I can set all my mission parameters, but either 1 of 2 things happen when I click the generate button 1. the application immediately crashes and generates a windows error log 2. the application sits there "generating" but does not create any mission files. I've tried various scenarios/maps/planes/etc but I just cannot seem to get this working at all, even with default configurations If it helps, this is the content of the log file. Been using it for years so I have no idea why it all of a sudden stopped working. I've already reinstalled IL2, and that did not help. I have IL2 installed on my D drive, but I of course have the path set to my installation in the program. Everyone else I've had try has no problems but they all have the game installed on their C drive. Does having IL2 installed anywhere else other than the C drive break EMG? So far it seems EMG only works if your IL2 installation is on the C drive Edited August 10 by CAG_Krakenskulls

Are you using a modded template?

But what you could try out is to copy your last working emg v88.x exe into your EMG folder and to check if this works (you just should not save in your v89 the "half way to target" option...)

The log stops in various different places, not exactly there every time. but what I can say is it never gets to the point where it even tries to generate a mission file. No errors or anything. Everybody else in my unit is able to run the software just fine, but they all have the game installed on C, I do not. Is EZMG not cable of functioning if the game is not installed on the C drive, even if the IL2 directory is correctly set in EMG? That appears to be the case for me. Do you have a discord? I would rather discuss this there as this is a really weird problem and I dont check back here very often.

CAG_Krakenskulls Posted August 16 Posted August 16 (edited) Yes the main folder is correct on my machine. If I give somebody else my EMG folder/executable, and they simply change the main directory to their game location on C it works perfectly fine for them. For me, it either hangs at "INFO:Cropped static objects outside battlefield: 0.015625 s" in the log file, or it gets a few lines further then crashes the entire program. For example this time just now it got to here in the log --------------------- INFO:Cropped static objects outside battlefield: 0.015625 s INFO:Objects and vehicle types have been replaced with correct types based on theatre and country. It seems there is a problem with a template, which is strange as you say it's a vanilla install. Can you zip your EMG folder and attach here? If it's too big you can delete the EasyMissionGenerator.exe inside the zip first.
frappa100 Posted Thursday at 10:55 AM Posted Thursday at 10:55 AM Hi @SYN_Vander! Is there a way to create mission with EMG with both tank and plane spawn for players? Another question, in the tool if i select dogfight and both as playerside i could have a PVP mission? if yes, with 12 ambient AI aircraft we will have 6 AI aircraft patrolling the obj zone? and if i select 5 targets per side, they will spawn for every targets? Thx for the help in advance

Thx for the help in advance Hi frappa, 1) Tank spawns can’t be included with EMG. 2) Yes, dogfight mode and side=both will generate a pvp multiplayer mission and indeed 12 Ai planes means 6 AI per side. They will be grouped in small flights and will roughly fly near the objective zones/middle of the map. If you have 5 targets then it’s possible AI bombers will attack the targets in turn.

Thx for the reply vander! Is there a way to don't have AI bomber in the mission or it's automatic? Did you know how many score point is depleted when you destroy an objective? Can i insert tank spawn point on an easy mission generated with the editor? If yes, tank will have the same mission of the planes? (so if i select CAS vs Armor, tank will have enemy tank to fight against?
