Patricks Posted June 4 Posted June 4 (edited) Version A no issue, Version B no issue. Funny story, thought I had a controller conflict as my plane was bobbing up\down and not really responding to trim after I had landed and rearmed\repaired on a bombing run. Went through in my mind all the possible things I would check (joystick calibration, possible binding\axis conflict, etc.) after I landed. Forgot I had external views enabled and hit F2 by accident, saw that half of my elevator was missing. Remembered a small "clink" when I was turning around near the aircraft netting after rearming... .Yep, tore it off and flew the entire flight like that! Edited June 4 by Patricks

After several attempts to let the ServerGenerator create some missions the process always stops after placing the bridge into the mission. Could is be that this target is somehow faulty? Geleitzug Posted July 14 Posted July 14 Hi Vander, just played a little bit around with the EMG tool creating some night bombing mission for the Channel map, wondering whether it would be possible to implement a function to adjust the amount/number of search lights when close to an enemy airfield or target. Would be pretty much more immersive if one would encounter during a bomb run more than only one search light waving around looking for a catch of enemy planes... would there be any chance to get that added to the mission generator ?

Are you using a modded template?

But what you could try out is to copy your last working emg v88.x exe into your EMG folder and to check if this works (you just should not save in your v89 the "half way to target" option...)

The log stops in various different places, not exactly there every time. but what I can say is it never gets to the point where it even tries to generate a mission file. No errors or anything. Everybody else in my unit is able to run the software just fine, but they all have the game installed on C, I do not. Is EZMG not cable of functioning if the game is not installed on the C drive, even if the IL2 directory is correctly set in EMG? That appears to be the case for me. Do you have a discord? I would rather discuss this there as this is a really weird problem and I dont check back here very often.

CAG_Krakenskulls Posted August 16 Posted August 16 (edited) Yes the main folder is correct on my machine. If I give somebody else my EMG folder/executable, and they simply change the main directory to their game location on C it works perfectly fine for them. For me, it either hangs at "INFO:Cropped static objects outside battlefield: 0.015625 s" in the log file, or it gets a few lines further then crashes the entire program. For example this time just now it got to here in the log --------------------- INFO:Cropped static objects outside battlefield: 0.015625 s INFO:Objects and vehicle types have been replaced with correct types based on theatre and country. It seems there is a problem with a template, which is strange as you say it's a vanilla install. Can you zip your EMG folder and attach here? If it's too big you can delete the EasyMissionGenerator.exe inside the zip first.
frappa100 Posted September 4 Posted September 4 Hi @SYN_Vander! Is there a way to create mission with EMG with both tank and plane spawn for players? Another question, in the tool if i select dogfight and both as playerside i could have a PVP mission? if yes, with 12 ambient AI aircraft we will have 6 AI aircraft patrolling the obj zone? and if i select 5 targets per side, they will spawn for every targets? Thx for the help in advance

Thx for the help in advance Hi frappa, 1) Tank spawns can’t be included with EMG. 2) Yes, dogfight mode and side=both will generate a pvp multiplayer mission and indeed 12 Ai planes means 6 AI per side. They will be grouped in small flights and will roughly fly near the objective zones/middle of the map. If you have 5 targets then it’s possible AI bombers will attack the targets in turn.

Can i insert tank spawn point on an easy mission generated with the editor? If yes, tank will have the same mission of the planes? (so if i select CAS vs Armor, tank will have enemy tank to fight against?

In general the blue Generating appears sometimes if EMG has a problem to find the specified targets. If this happens it is helpful just to post the config.ini of EMG directly after the issue appeared. From my experience there could be an issue with the new Scenario (mission type) "air defense" that seems to create these errors, regardless if target is radar, airfield or, random. Same missions can be generated with Scenario "Attack" or "Bombing" mission and selected targets airfield or radar. (just tested with clean v89a) further general reasons: To many "Targets per side" defined, try 1. Targets location intermediate seems sometimes not to work, better use close, distant , in target area. 1

This is for now merely a placeholder for upcoming Zeppelin targets. -Introduced theatres "WW2_SOUTH-EAST" and "WW2_FINLAND" to better manage historical availability of plane types. Please update any custom planes.json file -Added several new v-1 sites to Normandy map. -Increased fronts size on Kuban map and added more airfields -Updated Moscow map bitmap to be more in similar scale as other maps -AI flights in single player that spawn in now have detection radius based on wingspan to slightly optimise performance -Surprise single enemy AI now only has a chance of showing when choosing "aggressive" for Ambient AI activity Download here: https://sites.google.com/view/il2-great-battles-emg/home 1 6

Osi Posted Wednesday at 04:06 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:06 PM (edited) Hi Vander, Great tool for our favorite simulator!! A wish??? An idea — wouldn’t it be interesting to be able to choose a random number of aircraft in a flight? For example, a slider that sets between 2 and 9 planes? Anyway, awesome work! Thank you! 😚 In this example, it randomly modifies the number of planes in the wings in your Config.ini file. Edited Friday at 07:29 PM by Osi
