jokerBR Posted March 2 Posted March 2 (edited) Tried to submit the file to Bitdefender, but to no avail. Several other AVs are reporting this Tedy variant as well, and you're right, it is a false positive. Solution is to whitelist the file. Edited March 2 by jokerBR

kraut1 Posted March 5 Posted March 5 (edited) Hi @SYN_Vander, There is a special problem with the (british) bomb load of the B25: The british bombs have "better" aerodynamic properties / less air drag. Due to this trajectory is more flat in these bombs have a higher range at same altitude / speed in comparison with the e.g. US bombs of the B-26. Due to this the wp_target radius is not sufficient and the B25s are not dropping the bombs at the first run and are circling at wp3 with priority high (no self defensive fire). I suppose it would be the best if you consider the british bombs for your common formula for the wp_target radius calculation. I have observerved this issue now for B-25 bombing missions altitude 7000m, 8000m. But as far as I can remember I have observed this issue at lower altitudes too. Please let me know if you need further informations. Best regards Edited March 7 by kraut1
Viceman Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Any news on update? My AV software just keeps blocking the 88.2 version. And is there a way to make enemies respawn in Dogfight missions? Once you shoot down the enemies there are in the beginning its clear sky after that.

In dogfight mode there will be backup flights for every objective. So if you choose multiple objectives there will also be respawns of patrols/bomber flights

Unfortunately, bitdefender still blocks it after you try to run the executable. Other AVs detect it inside the zip. To check, just upload the zip to virustotal.com By now, the only way to run it is to believe it is a false positive and whitelist the executable.
Dauntless Posted April 1 Posted April 1 Tried that and it did not work. My problem is not with bitdefender, it's with malwarebytes. Thanks.
jokerBR Posted April 1 Posted April 1 14 minutes ago, Dauntless said: Tried that and it did not work. My problem is not with bitdefender, it's with malwarebytes. Thanks. With Malwarebytes, you may want to try this: Malwarebytes blocks Program or Website; How to add Exclusions? 1
jokerBR Posted April 1 Posted April 1 2 hours ago, Dauntless said: Did that, to no avail! Thanks! Hi Dauntless. You may want to check with Malwarebytes support then, it's not normal that it keeps blocking files even after they've been whitelisted. Keep in mind that you have to redo the whitelist every time the file changes (i.e., every new version) because the file signature will be different, so if you have whitelisted some old version, perhaps you need to do it again with this one. Good luck. Cheers. 1
kraut1 Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Hi @SYN_Vander, Sorry for my too complex theory concerning the issue with the B25 not dropping bombs during the first bomb run to the target (05.03.2025). It seems to me now that the solution is much more easier: By changing the speed from 350km/h to 375km/h the bombs are dropped during the first bomb run. 2 test missions with 350 / 375 km/h 0-test-missions.zip

Hi @SYN_Vander with your default EMGv88.2 (only speed of B25 changed to 375km/h) the level bombers are working. AI flown test missions:
Patricks Posted April 21 Posted April 21 (edited) Odd, trying to DL 88.2 and Defender (which just updated by chance) now calls out a virus.. for everything I try and DL. Good ol MS, luckily found a YT on how to disable it for now by modifying 1 Registry key. Just turning it off did not help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C17DgRpzdik Edited April 21 by Patricks

I just think it was a coincidence that your file was the 1st I tried to DL after today's Defender update, but no, never had an issue before. I didn't think to try DL'ng other files, the minor key modify fixed it..
=FI=Genosse Posted April 28 Posted April 28 Hi, @SYN_Vander! I'm just curious: are you going to add any more new features to your EMG/ServerGenerator? I was thinking of an improved radar system or some dynamic front features. Or a more detailed way to manage the different airfields in terms of types and quantity of aircraft. Is there anything we can look forward to, mate?
kraut1 Posted April 30 Posted April 30 Hi @=FI=Genosse, only for your info: This I have just released: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/91243-emg-rheinland-map-area-extension-germany-4345-modified-settings-v01-29042025/ And for this ca. 1 new front / month: https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/topic/90991-emg-stalingrad-map-area-extension-updated-10042025/

PeterC Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Hello, Same as Patricks here. I tried to DL latest version (88.2) and Windows Defender pretend having detected the presence of Trojan:Win32/Suschil!rfn. The zip file is then sent to quarantine. Just to let you know. Good job nevertheless. I'm using your software all the time. Maybe i could upgrade later if you find the time to investigate. PeterC 1
Dusty926 Posted May 8 Posted May 8 Starting with the Airco DH.2 on the runway causes all of them to roll forward and run into one another, likely due to the whole, "Mixture is actually the throttle" thing going on. Is there a way to correct this, such as forcing DH.2s to runway start with engines off? Or is this vanilla behavior too? I've never done runway starts in vanilla missions
kraut1 Posted May 10 Posted May 10 (edited) Easy Mission Generator is suitable to be used for Peace Time Civil Missions too. I am currently working on a Civil Transport Pilot IL-2 Mod + a EMG Modification. By deactivating all military target objectives, using only searchlights for AAA batterys, and selecting only not-armed planes (Ju52, C-47(DC-3) and U-2) it is possible to create civil missions and to land on airfields on the normally enemy side. Some Fighter planes with civil skins are defined in EMG without ammo load and the AI pilots are performing spectacular aerobatic maneuvers. The front line that is normally visible in IL-2 can be eleminated by reducing it to a short 5km part. Even Airfields can be located in the normally enemy area and they are working: Edited May 15 by kraut1 3 1
czech693 Posted May 23 Posted May 23 (edited) I made a misison with the Hanriot HD1 in camo. In IL-2 the tactical codes showed up in black which is almost invisible. I went back and changed it to yellow in the saved file, but it still shows up in black. Should I have changed it before starting the mission in IL-2? EDIT: Never mind. I'm looking at the data/planes.json and see that the tcodes are NN and 00. What are the meaning of those? Edited May 24 by czech693

The 'NN' is my simple coding that for this plane a tactical code of two numbers ('N') should be used. The 00 part is the default colour for these numbers, which is indeed black. But after you have generated the mission you should be able to change it in the mission editor On 5/8/2025 at 4:48 AM, Dusty926 said: Starting with the Airco DH.2 on the runway causes all of them to roll forward and run into one another, likely due to the whole, "Mixture is actually the throttle" thing going on. I'll keep this in mind then! Out of curiosity, when it comes to WW1 missions in general, are Ramp starts what you'd recommend universally? I'm curious what your opinion on that is.
dd_delta7 Posted May 26 Posted May 26 Hi I cant download versions 882 or 883 due to virus detected, v 87 is ok Has anyone else ha dissues since last patch ? all my missions that I generate for online dogfights crash after about 10 mins. We have run these on 2 different servers. If I run missions that I generated prepatch , these work with no issues . I was using an old version V 85 , but cant run newest versions as windows detects virus

I suppose 0...4 (but I can't check now, but you will find out). Have a look to the planes.json: "fw190d9": "tcodes": { "Germany": ["SNN", "333"]}, "fw190a8": "tcodes": { "Germany": ["SNN", "000"]}, "fw190a5": "tcodes": { "Germany": ["SNN", "111"]}, ..and in my Kurland mod I have selected for yellow: "fw190a8": "tcodes": { "Germany": ["SNS", "144"]},
czech693 Posted May 27 Posted May 27 I got it figured out. I put 33 in the mission file and that got me blue numbers. I realized it needed to be 44 to be yellow. But changing it in the mission file didn't change the color. I had to delete the mission and put the 44 in the hanriot tcodes in the EMG data/planes.json file, and then create the mission. Now have yellow numbers. Don't like that font though.

So 0 =black, 1= white and so on. "00" means both digits are black. "121" would be three digits, first is white, second red, third white and so on. But these color schemes depend on country, ie for RAF it's: In the Mission editor you can see all these colors. Edited May 31 by SYN_Vander 1
SYN_Vander Posted June 2 Author Posted June 2 New version. I will upload two files, each compiled with a different tool, because of the false virus warnings. See which one works best for you. Version 89 -Added new option 'halfway to the target' for Plane start. This will start you in the air, halfway to the target location. -Fixed Channel Map template for Normandy front where Radar messages were incorrect. -Fixed cruise/attack speed of B-25 (thanks Kraut!) https://sites.google.com/view/il2-great-battles-emg/home 2 7
