Hi all, will include skins, will start collecting all skins on the 10th so should have new bundle update latest end Feb, sure i will list date.

sure will dont worry had computer problems the last two weeks but all sorted, if anyone wants to add more skins, i will start collecting on the 20th feb

Curious if there are plans to work the skin pack into Haluter's Skin Downloader?

But by all means, try to encourage him to upload the skins.

Once I try it out, I'm pretty sure I'll put my skins on HSD. I wonder if there's a way to differentiate between personal skins and fantasy skins?

From what I understand you have to categorise a skin when you upload it, and I would assume those categories would be along the lines of historical, fantasy and personal, but I don't know for sure.

The categories atm are Fictional, Generic, Historical, Other, Racing and SkinHack. So no there's not any differentiation between personal and fantasy in HSD at the moment. And would say personal and fantasy are both going to be covered under Fictional.

 

However you can also filter the list of skins using a search term.

 

So assuming the skinners that were included in the bundle (or elsewhere) are not wanting to change their FC skins names again then users can just filter the list to find FC skins that are both Fictional skins and include the z_ or y_ prefixes in order to find the personal or fantasy FC skins that have been uploaded. I'm also planning on including the word "personal" in the description for my personal skins to find them that way also. Job jobbed.

Personal were first intended to use for your own or your online squadron, while Fantasy skins are public for everyone to be used also in mp. But right now here it seems that personal is when being named. 

 

Fantasy flyable skins ( These skins can be flown by everyone)

Should start with a Y_ prefix, after the prefix is up to you.

 

Personal Skins  ( only to be flown by the person named, it is a personal skin for one persons use)

Should start with a Z_ prefix, after the prefix is up to you.

Hi all

I started this thread and the bundle far back now, and i only did it as it was the only way at the time to make FC skins work for everyone, was to have a common skin bundle with all the names exactly the same. In the last two years , even with the massive help of  the_dudeWG  in reorganising the naming system and updating the bundle, it has still out grown where i can not handle it especially with the new planes hopefully coming out soon. The bundle as it was at last update will be the last as i can not do the bundles anymore, i believe there is a new system of skin handling, called HSD, don't know much about it but is supposed to handle FC skins. 

I have asked il2 to please unpin the Unofficial FC skin bundle thread.

A big thanks to all the skin creators who over the last two year have made our fc experience more bright ,lively and immersive.

Sorry to all those who have been waiting for the next update of the bundle. i would advise uploading skins to the HSD.

See you all in the air sometime, you will know its me, ill be alone over enemy lines shooting flares. ?

will do mate, no worries, still waiting for someone for il2 to unpin this thread, so the files will be avalible until atleast the end of april

I took a look, and I like it. The blue waves pair nicely with the bird motif, simple and to the point.

to All skin creators and skin users , i have installed the HSD skins the other day it works great i highly recommend it for all future skin uploads and downloads

It was a zip file with 17gb but is old historical skins, The whole bundle is no longer relevant, so no need to download and there is a better system now called Haluter’s Skin Downloader here is the link  to its IL2  sub forum. https://forum.il2sturmovik.com/forum/156-haluters-skin-downloader-hsd/ . So have now removed the download files, The Unofficial Flying Circus Skin Bundle is no more. i urge all Skin Creators to upload their files HSD. And all pilots interested in seeing new skins for FC to use HSD. The bundles i did, was only a temporary measure, to help FC skins work, done in my own time, but since HSD it is no longer needed and will only confuse things.

Sorry for pulling links. But it is time. I have myself deleted all skins out of my flying circus skins folders, and used HSD to download new skins.

Paul (GCF) and I had a great voice call earlier to answer some questions he had about HSD, and we also discussed his adoption of HSD for FC skins. Just wanted to show my gratitude to Paul for putting his trust in HSD and to everyone here who uses & supports it, and keep on uploading your skins! ?
