I think you forgot to copy the markings on the nose and stripes to the Alpha Channel.

 

Make it and, on the Alpha Channel, paint them darker.

 

It will work.

You are having the same problem as DDSnacko was. You need to make an alpha layer where all the painted parts or dark gray or black, this way it will show up in game as a painted area on the plane...What program are you using to paint...?

The Alpha.psd is only to make your skin shiny or opaque.

So, it's reccomended that you copy all emblems and parts that shall not shine to the Alpha and paint them darker... merge all layers and copy it to your main file, in this case, the P-47D-28_4k_Public.psd

The name beneath the canopy could be darker if I darken it in the alpha, but I am ok with the way it is.  I am working on a proposed non-historical paint for my buds. It will be a while until we fly a Corsair in Il2 BOX

Upon your feedback I had the bright idea to use Chrome instead of Firefox for downloading and it worked!

Tom, I downloaded Big Stud with the Ace of Spades on the cowling.... But the writing is missing? Have I downloaded an old version somehiw?

the "Big Stud" for our P-47D  I did already, but I did not add as the source we have did not allow me make it  as good as I wanted it to.

 

I need the kind of photo like the one I had for this one, WIP for this release this week.
