Jason_Williams Posted January 29, 2019 Author Posted January 29, 2019 Ok I've download all who have submitted up until right now. I should have enough British voices now, maybe a couple more to be safe if you're still working on it. We American's need to step it up. At this rate the war was won solely by the British! Good job UK guys! I've got 12 British submissions and 3 American submissions. Jason 1 2
616Sqn_Tyggz Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 I'm two thirds of the way done with my British part
Diggun Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 If you've got enough Brits, I'll abandon mine. Thanks for the heads up!

Arfsix Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Jason, I was having a problem with submitting zip files, so opened a dropbox account and sent you a PM yesterday. I cannot tell if you have been able to acess the files. The dropbox link is https://www.dropbox.com/sh/9ce51kkkmj7wsd4/AADwvfH-br3fxt9eKm7394_ha?dl=0. This message is simply a follow up to the PM.
Jason_Williams Posted February 1, 2019 Author Posted February 1, 2019 Ok guys, I have 9 American with another being done so that will give us 10. I have like 14 British so we're good there. If any other Americans want to knock out a set over the next 2 days that's ok. Go ahead and send in. Now I will package all the ones I have so far and submit to our sound guy so he can get to work. Padre* Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 I'm not sure our adorable British youths would be a great idea for voice actors, they mostly sound like this these days ...... ?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HA6iHuH3D14 1
RedFor Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 i hope my recordings got through last night not much experience here uploading to share sites....
Jaegermeister Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 (edited) Georgia born and raised, Moved around a bit in my 20's. Its funny how everyone seems to think they don't have much of an accent. I'll have another set of American recordings for you by tomorrow, I finished the first half this morning. Edit... Link sent for finished files via PM Edited February 2, 2019 by Jaegermeister
Jason_Williams Posted February 2, 2019 Author Posted February 2, 2019 Everyone, I have more than enough British voices. Absolute last call for any American voices. If you are working on some or want to do them you can turn in my Monday and then that's it. Let me know. Jason

Jason Are you wanting each of the lines to be their own separate file?
StompyJones Posted February 4, 2019 Posted February 4, 2019 Yeah that's what they ask for. Quickest way to do it is to record a large amount of them in one go (recommend stick to one 'level of excitement' per run) then pick a piece, cut it and paste into a new window. I also recommend setting a keybinding for 'export' so you can just select with mouse, then hit Ctrl+X, N, V, E (I set 'export to .wav' as Ctrl+E).
Jason_Williams Posted February 4, 2019 Author Posted February 4, 2019 Got it Jacob. Thanks everyone! That should be a wrap. We really appreciate your help!!!! Jason 3 1

Jason_Williams Posted June 27, 2019 Author Posted June 27, 2019 Everyone, We've had a bit of a problem (not anyone's fault who have helped us) and we have decided to re-record the Spotter voices. We had to make some minor edits to the scripts. I need two American and two British sets ASAP. We prefer to use someone who has not already submitted voices to us. There are about 84 lines to record and instructions are the same as in the original post. It's easy and kid of fun to do. Be immortalized as a voice from WWII in IL-2. If you are interested please respond here and download this .zip that contains the updated script for the spotter and the instructions. American_and_British_Spotter_Only.zip Again, this is just for the Spotter. We have all other voices done. Jason 2

migmadmarine Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 I'd be able to to do spotter lines. I'm a new yorker, 24 years old. Not the classic new yawk accent though I'm afraid.
Frogface Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 I recorded some of the lines before, Happy to record more for the spotter role British accent, 23 years old I'll record these lines and get them sent over asap 1
